this is a very feeble arguement given the level of tax contributions smokers make throughout their (often shortened) life span.
whilst i dont often agree with dazza, in this case he is right.
a more sensible question might be to ask where the tax shortfall will be made up once tax revenue from ex-smokers decreases significantly
I know even better option, no public funds at all for health problems of smokers caused by their behavior with full awarenesses of the consequences.

of course it is. we all form preferences and prejudices based on our interpretations of distinctive characteristics, regardless of what context they are applied to. on what we are allowed to express our prejudices, and how we chose to espress them, are governed by many factors. as you are no doubt aware. but this does not preclude the fact that both the characteristics and prejudices exist
its the same process of generalisation that allows polish women to be placed upon a pedistal. only a fool would apply their characteristics across the board. but only a fool would deny the characteristics do infact exist

if you havent learnt that generalisations can be made and stereotypes do exist then you are spectacularly niave. its a simple approach referred to as 'segmentation' in marketing terms. someone has pigeonholed you
we all fall into categories, some of which have positive attributes and some negative. being concious of this encourages selfawareness and the ability step back in observation. it also enables critical assessment
as with many poles, but by no means all, you are unable to see this despite it having been pointed out enlessly to you and your like on this forum. i am fortunate because it provides me with an endless source of amusement

most people know that there are racists, antisemites and homophobes in every country.
the point about the polish is the lengths they go to to deny it. if poles on the forum held their hand up and said 'yes, poland has a problem with racism, antisemitism and homophobia' then this might go some way to reduce the animosity towards them. but of course that never occured to you. did it. then we have to conclude that some polish posters dont see any problem with being racist, antisemetic homophobes.
