Travel / My Next Visit.....Gdansk [8]

Mark - here is a site which may give you an idea. As with any reviews, I would take them with a pinch of salt - [tripadvisor/Hotels-g274725-Gdansk_Baltic_Coast-Hotels.html]

News / Poland and Germany - Germany unhappy with the present border with Poland? [88]

One could think that I explained Francist political doctrine in details in one of older threads.

That "one" swould indeed be one - yourself. ;-)

I suggest to use search engine and reread.

I did and read about Angel Alcazar de Velasco, the Naviera Iberica etc etc etc and all the other support that Franco gave Hitler in his fight against the allies ( including Poland ).

UK, Ireland / Relocating to the UK [7]

Northern Scotland,

Always worth checking what the firm classes as Highlands and Islands as there is usually an extra charge for this. Sometimes worth picking up from the depot if it is just a couple of miles difference.

News / THOUSANDS OF YOUNG ISRAELIS FLOODING POLAND [93]

I admit, I haven't read the whole thread but unfortunately cemeteries being desecrated isn't just a Jewish/Polish phenomenom.

In every country in the land this happens to an extent. Not just Jewish graves.

The link posted highlighting the damage also highlighted the good care some cemeteries have recieved from the local communities.

News / Anti Gravity Device in Ludwikowice Kłodzkie in Silesia [8]

Anyone ever been to Ludwikowice Kłodzkie in Silesia ?

Apparently this is home to where the Nazis were developing an anti gravitational bell. I'm just wondering if you can access the site and have a look around.

Also, can someone clarify if the Wenceslas mine is in Poland or Czechoslovakia ?

Interesting stuff.

Thanks

History / Scotland and Poland. Mutual connections since 1576 [45]

On the 16th of April 1746 the last major battle on the British mainland took place between the supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie and the supporters of the Hanovarian British Government.

The Princes full name was - Prince Charles Edward Louis John Casimir Silvester Severino Maria Stuart III.

His Polish names are due to his mother, Maria Klementyna Sobieska - granddaughter of the Polish King John III Sobieski.

UK, Ireland / Poles claim UK benefits after working only one year instead of going home [156]

In Britain there is a class system, poles naturally being between the underclass and the working class.

This is from someone who calls themselves a Glaswegian !!!

I only listen to people if they have at the very least a university education like myself.

You haven't graduated yet ba'heid.
Why dont you go to the Stairs Building tomorrow and ask about doing your LLB with the Polish language as offered by the department?
You could do your third year in Poland - lets face it, you've been a member of the forums for long enough and you have posted more than most.

Edit - and buy a fecking dictionerry or get a spellchaker

as for british spongers, hang them up with piano wire or whatever; its a completely differant topic.

Note - the weegie scrounges off taxpayers.
Note - the weegie has never been in full time employment.
Note - the weegie takes money from the state.

Please be honest about it.

The weegie goes to University paid for by me, the taxpayer.
The Polish migrant who is in Employment pays taxes, again this keeps the weegie in University.

The weegie then posts that he is upset that Polish migrants are paying tax to keep him at Uni.

UK, Ireland / Poles claim UK benefits after working only one year instead of going home [156]

Remind me: does Scotland contribute more to the British budget than it receives or take more out than it contributes?

With pleasure Harry - The reality is that Scotland more than pays its own way in the UK. That is proved by the most recent analysis in the Government Expenditure and Revenue Scotland (GERS) report, which shows that Scotland had a budget surplus of £837 million in 2006-07, compared to a UK deficit of £4.3 billion.

The vast, vast majority of British people have been in employment all their lives, the number of people that have never had a job in britain is really tiny.

not scrounging off of the british taxpayers

Note - the weegie scrounges off taxpayers.
Note - the weegie has never been in full time employment.
Note - the weegie takes money from the state.

The pittance in tax that the poles have paid

Note - the weegie does not pay as much tax as Poles in employment.
