Americans are the victims of their political system, so proud called "Democracy."

Perhaps; I've heard this sentiment over the years. Even with greater frequency now.

It's high time for them to change this monolith and allow more independent people manage their lives.

I'll manage my own life.

In the US, there are so many nationalities that the common denominator such as belonging to one nation is not present. Therefore, such non-homogenous society cannot have to many parties, because if that was the case, you would have a civil war or divide the country into many independent countries.

I am curious, did any of events that you state above, specifically the influx of other nationalities, ever happen to Poland?

If so, when and what was the result?

American is an American citizen of Polish descent. There are an estimated 10 million Americans of Polish descent.

I mean that now all important economic, social, and political decisions of Poland are made in the context of Poland being an unimportant cousin of EU.

Thank you for the reply. For what it is worth I agree with you. Nations should be sovereign; forcing nations into one homogeneous mass is wrong.

What is it with the progressives? One one hand that champion diversity when it comes to race but eschew it when it comes to nationalism.

The direction of Poland should be for the people of Poland to decide.

Nationalism and peace are not mutually exclusive.

What if Poland (the Polish government or the society that chose that goverment) one day decided she doesn't want to be a part of the European Union anymore? Would it be possible to "take it back" and become a free country once again?

The progressives, a growing majority in America, are determined to make the rest of us happy by making our choices for us.
