Comes as a real surprise to me Sean as i was brought up in a Jewish household in Dublin and my mother thought the nazi bombs that rained on Terenure in 1941 were directed solely at her the housekeeper.
How would what I said come as a surprise? because you were brought up in a Jewish house in Dublin? that does not make sense, there were very very very few Jews in Ireland, can you not agree about that?.
And as for your mother thinking it was the Nazi's out to get her, fair enough, if I were a Jew during WW2 I would have been paranoid too because people were out to get Jews. But it is the general belief about those air raids were that the Nazis had mistaken the Irish East coast for the British west coast.
As regards antisemitism in Ireland there was a small outbreak in Limerick in 1904.
What? what are you trying to say by showing this? a "small outbreak in 1904", I am sure If I search the web I can find a person from Kuala Lumpur that was picked on once by Irish people through out history.
Today Irelands Jewish community has dwindled to a few thousand or less as the young have to travel to find co-religionist partners.
This even proves my point, A Jew can not find another Jew to marry and have kids with because there are and were very very very few Jews in Ireland.
And any one from Kuala Lumpur who has been attacked by any Irish person in history, please note that my comment is just a co-incidence.
I think people need to stop being so serious, some people are Jews, so what, going marching around shouting things is too much trouble for such an unworthy cause. There are plenty of causes worth the effort, live and let live.
