News / Polish priest publishes sex guide [97]

Ironside, before you go launching into dtaylor and I for not knowing what we are talking about, remember this. Scotland has a large Catholic following, we are not Muslims ;) ;)

News / Polish priest publishes sex guide [97]

WOW, I bet they feel empowered and enabled now ;) ;) Who gives him the right to tell people what they should and shouldn't do in their own married lives? Marriage is a consensual relationship between 2 people, predicated on love and sustainability, one manifestation of that through sex. No room for 3rd parties ;) ;) ;) Do these people not have a moral compass? ;) What other divine green light should we be seeking? :)

What's his position on doggy? Or is that his position? ;)

Well Ironside, at least Catholic is happy. He has a book all to himself, what an honour ;)

Love / Polish girls attitude - what should I know about the behaviour of Polish girls? [30]

Hone your legal skills, Mr Lawyer ;)

Just kidding, just look for compatibilities and be prepared to stand your ground. Compromises can be a little harder to strike here than back home. The Princess Syndrome makes sure of that.

Still, you are likely getting a very valuable partner and Polish women tend to be highly domesticated and motherly. I'm impressed with the vast array of talents that my fiancee has.

Good luck and don't be afraid to ask more specific questions to which I will reply with generalisations ;) ;)

Study / anyone with CELTA? [73]

I agree. It just depends on what door you can open with it but so many people have it these days that competition is fierce.

It has been useful for me to have but the financial outlay is pretty darned high :(

Travel / Wizzair cancelling flights [23]

Well, they had clearly read the economic forecasts which predicted the downturn in the popularity of certain flight paths. This crisis is here for quite some time yet. I just don't see why standard users of such a service should lose out due to the incompetence of others but life is complicated.

Ryanair's flight times aren't so convenient.

Szarly, what do you mean?

I don't care much for rich drunken Brits ;)

Seriously, there needs to be a fundamental reassessment of demand.

They deserve to be shot! Profit has really put the blinkers on people. Half a million and they can't maintain a high enough profit margin, I don't believe it. It's pretty sad really!

edinburghnews.scotsman.com/latestnews/Ryanair-leaves--passengers-stranded.5064479.jp

this is what we are up against.

I fear that the future may be taking us away from budget airlines and into the hands of the extortors!

What other airlines operate from Scotland to Poland? Easyjet are my best bet. I'm flying from Krakow to Edinburgh at Xmas time but I don't know my options on the way back. I may have to take the same journey in reverse. That wouldn't be so bad.

I can't believe that, with around 20,000 Poles in and around the Aberdeen area, that there isn't a direct service from there. The figure was 25,000 before and they still didn't give it the nod. Tossers!

If demand picks up. How will they ascertain that? :( What buggers, that was just wrong!

News / FRENCH SNUB POLISH WAR EFFORT [50]

That's not awesome, that's the sign of a filthy little basta*d.

Here's my present to him, youtube.com/watch?v=LL5OsaVYz1I
Ahmedinejad speaks truth and AGAINST greed.

The French left early so here's the transcript for that grubby twat.

I know who you are so you are forgiven. The xx's at the end confirmed it in my mind :)

Pluto, I know who you are and what you are trying to pull. Keep writing and I'll confirm it. I'm onto ya, sniper extraordinaire ;)

SP, you are right.

Life / Why are Polish people cheap? [126]

Well, you don't know me then. I love many people here and was just making a statement that has much truth. Go on, ask the resident Poles here that this is the case. You can keep your 19 cases of swine flu, don't bring them here. Your stupid government agreed to go on a list and I was almost detained at a border for that, so keep your smarmy comments to yourself.

I live and work here, I have often spoken on how hard they work and for so little. Do you work here, goofy? Something of an expert are we?

Go and look at a relevant thread where I said we are indebted to them. I wrote on it just today. The Poles and the Scots got on really well :)

Life / Why are Polish people cheap? [126]

Thankfully, most Poles are humble when it comes to their means. Unfortunately, more and more are just interested in seeing their bank balances rise :(

Come on, Sokrates, step up to the plate and give us an outline of the great things this man has done. We're listening.

Love / CULTURAL DIFFERENCE/PROBLEMS IN MIXED POLISH-UK MARRIAGES [34]

Quite right, welshguy. I'll be damned if I allow any restrictions of that nature. Thankfully, we want a bilingual kid and maximum exposure from a young age. I have made a sacrifice staying here, away from my family, so some key things have to be on my terms.

Life / Why are Polish people cheap? [126]

Yeah but you shouldn't blame others (through a stereotype) for that which you are yourself ;) ;)

Just kidding, I know countless people here who would happily buy me lunch and expect nothing in return. The lack of tipping gets me though :(

Food / Help with info on a peculiar vodka/cream drink. [13]

Because you get more to drink that way. Come on Vincent, think Scottish ;)

I've been attacked for this before, for sacrilege. Yes, I put coke in whisky but not the top-notch stuff. I used to do it with the standard blends like Grants, Whyte&Mackay and Teachers.

Baileys cries out for milk :)

Food / Help with info on a peculiar vodka/cream drink. [13]

That sounds more like food and not drink :)

Kahlua and Baileys are fantastic but maybe too good to mix together. Baileys and milk or Kahlua and milk are good enough in themselves.

News / FRENCH SNUB POLISH WAR EFFORT [50]

'You're a callous people who want to wreck Europe. I shall leave you to your own troubles. You have only your miserable, petty, selfish interests in mind!;

This was said at the Eden meeting. Churchill didn't retract this but he said it under duress and was frustrated at the pickle they were all in.

News / The Emperor is naked. Lech Walesa, fool or hero ? [34]

For those who doubt Wałęsa, I say this. He has defended himself, I think, 7 times in court. Also, ask yourself why communism wasn't brought down earlier. There was certainly ample desire to do so. The prevailing times put him in a sticky wicket.

Ask those like pawian who lived through the sixties and seventies. He'll tell you that things were kept under tight wraps.

Drastic times called for drastic action.
