Polish Labor Is Scarce as Workers Go West [60]
The exodus is believed to be one of the largest migrations by Europeans since the 1950s, when a wave of Irish crossed the Atlantic to escape poverty.
I am not disputing this by any means, actually there was massive immigration right up until about 8 years ago. And that has been happening for hundreds of years. There are Irish people all over the world, I would say mostly U.S.A, U.K. and Germany.
All of my friends have moved back to Ireland to work, because they knew (for the first time in Irish history) that there were opportunities. That is my generation, my older brother's generation and every generation before that, if they left, they left for good.
Poland still has a long way to go and the people who have left probably won't believe the positive changes that have taken place over the last 3 years.
Let the Ukrainians go to work here in Poland.
And for God sake get rid of all the bureaucracy.
As Poland gets better, people will not leave.
It is a better thing to complain about too much work , than not enough.
