I concede no Normandy landings,so therefore no "race for Berlin" ie,USSR could have taken its time and still crushed the nazis.

well, I'm saying, no western front and Soviets wouldn't stand a chance against Germans. Look even with our (allied forces) help how long it took so many countries to beat down the Nazis and now you're saying the Soviets would have done it themselves, no way man.

Maybe but Soviets would not be defeated either if alone while US would be probably defeated.

if we would be defeated then only because of logistics. Soviets wouldn't have to ship war equipment and troops over seas like we would. Simple is that. The only reason why Germans lost the war against the Soviets is because of dumba** Hitler trying to invade them in the Winter and not because of the military strength of the Soviets. I understand many of you guys still got that propaganda bulls*it about Soviets being invincible in your heads due to your pro Soviet education until 1989 but the truth is that Soviets wouldn't stand a chance to beat down the Germans without our help. No point to argue about it.

The point is that they are not bad people but that their minds are already closed for new informations.

Actually not, older people in general gathered more experiences than the younger generation and that's why they refuse some of the new stuff. For example I totally refuse techno, rap and hip hop. I think it's not even music, it's just ugly but obviously it's a matter of taste.

I refuse many other things, probably too many to list right now, lol.

They have syndrome of completely unjustified self-content.

I love the discussion about the WWII (it's my favorite subject) but the question here is, are Poles superior to Brits? My clear answer to it is NO and if someone believes it is then tell me your point but don 't touch the war etc. because Brits and French not attacking Germany in September 39 doesn't make Poles superior to Brits. C'mon guys, what kinda bull is that?

you see I fully agree to that 1 but do you think we can change anything about it? We can discuss as long as we want to and we won't achieve jack s*it unless you'll become really rich one day and buy some serious a** media like for example MTV and try to do some work there. It's not the older generation that needs changes (OK maybe some) but the young people who follow this like you say pop-culture. Just take a look at the generation of 14 -21 years old, no morals, no respect, unorganized.

I'm talking here about the general situation and not about every young person out there.

Their views might change quickly because they search for truths.

My answer is NO because everyone has his own point of view about it. It is human to disagree, to think different, to live different etc. This is why we have wars, crimes, conflicts etc.

You are wrong, I cannot change opinion of most of those who disagree with me. If you stick to this logic that you offer here every debate is fruitless.

well, more or less it is. We're just spending our free time here, discussing about something that has been discussed thousands of times before and to be honest, not achieving anything and it's good so because what kind of achievement would it be? I can't speak for anyone else here but I'm not trying to convince anyone to believe what I believe and I don't want anyone else to try to convince me to change my point of view. It won't work anyway, :-).

European history is very complicated. Nowadays it's really hard to determine which territory belongs to who or better said, who it used to belong to. It's a same with famous people who once lived within these territories. To answer questions like for example who was Copernicus etc. we would have to go back in time and ask who he really felt to be because the western part of nowadays Poland use to change hands all the time in the past. As long as people will be trying to solve territorial problems using patriotic paroles and following own country's propaganda I don't see any sense in discussing it because no one will ever give up his point.
