There is much disinformation about the assasination attempt on Cardinal Wojtyla...Am Italian 'commission' blamed the Soviets...Bulgaria was accused of having involvement...But there is information linking the CIA, West German Intelligence and other organized crime elements with the so-called 'Grey Wolves', the Turkish militant/mafioso group associated with Mehmet Agca...Elements within the Vatican also had to have been directly involved...The truth of who was really behind the shooting of the Polish Pope remains an unsolved mystery...What is Polish opinion on this?...Any new insights are welcome................JoeP

Nope. It's because of fascist and later communist plan to exterminate all minorities living in Poland. That's why they killed one our greatest inheritance, the Jews and Jewish culture, that's why they moved the borders and resettle people by their nationality.

I see instructions of behaviour haven't been send to USA.;) It is good that you defend our history becuase a lot of facts are not well known ... especialy in USA. and the fact is that our country have been sold in Yalta and our history have been sold after Yalta ...

Many Polish-Americans remember history better than Poles because many Polish-Americans fought and lived through WWII; the older ones anyway still remember certain things...Yalta?...What was amazing about Roosevelt, Churchill & Stalin is that all three were part Jewish: Roosevelt, Jewish on both sides; Father: Ashkenazim (Rosenfeld), Mother Sephardic (Delano/Delani)...Churchill, on mother's side; Mother's name: Abrahmson....Stalin, on father's side (Djugashvilli: 'Jewish son', Georgian 'mountain Jew')...All three sold Eastern Europe to the Communists, which is a Jewish philosophy start to finished (based on the Jewish concept of the 'kahal'), but is very bad for non-Jews...Another historical irony: Hitler himself was part-Jewish...the Nazi 'philosophy' is almost identical with the Zionist concept, i.e. ethnic cleansing, population transfers as practiced today by Zionist in Israel vis-a-vis native Palestinians...The only flag other than the Nazi flag which was allowed to flown in Nazi Germany?...The Israeli flag...This was flown at special training camps the Germans set up for Jews who had signed on to emmigrate to Palestine...At these camps, which were not 'concentration camps' but rather well-appointed, German Jews were trained in modern agricultural techniques and related skills...All historical fact: Please read the book 'The Transfer Agreement'...History is full of these 'ironies'...But for Poland, bad news from Nazis, Communists and 'the Allies'...All considered Poland inconsequential in the 'Grand Scheme'...And all of this, of course was bad news for the little Pole, Jew, Ukranian, German, Russian...Very bad news.

Some history on Moskal...The original article I wished to post, from the 'Chicago Sun Times' is no longer available for free...You must give a credit card number...I have just posted a few tidbits...Read the whole article at the link below for a broader picture...Moskal was an 'old boy' who knew all about WWII...He was considered 'too controversial and too authoritarian' by new breed Americans of Polish descent...But the old boy spoke his mind.

First of all, the events in Jedwabne have different version...Those of Professor Gross, and those of the testimony of Poles to Polish historians...To answer your questions simply, Poles and Jews in Poland were pushed to the breaking point by the Nazi armies and the Communists from the Soviet Union...Poles & Jews had a sometimes fragile co-existence, but this was shattered when the extremists with guns took over...It is simple...Also, Dmowski had some very sound idesas, although I have read that he didn't care for music or the arts, which is bad because the arts are an important expression of the higher human spirit.

in short:
until today, religion lessons (lege: catholicism lessons) an ethic were optional- if you wish, you could send your children for one or for both (if the school provide ethic lessons) or for none of them.
starting from 2009, one of them will be mandatory; considering, that there is a great shortages in ethic teachers, the choice will be obvious. not to mention, that even now, catholicism lessons are in 2x 45 minutes system (per week), and ethic /if its in school/ : only 1 45minutes lesson per week. and, of course- headteacher doesn't have to provide ethic lessons in school; he may consider that when there is >7 students wanting that.

eh, just in case- thats another reason why poles are emigrating from Poland into more civilised countries

Are you equating the lessons taught in the Cathecism with the absence of 'civilization' as you call it?...The Church was the force and institution that civilized Europe, and the

Christian faith strengthened Poland in it's time of hardship...While the Church needs to modernize certain aspects, the teachings of Christianity are essential to a moral or ethical society...What would you replace it with?...Christianity has been under attack in America for many years by the worshippers of Mammon, and you see the result we have here...Or, perhaps you don't.

Its time...i say its time for Poland to wake up..the rest of Europe has left you behind. I am speaking from the position of poles relationship with different cultures of this wonderful world. If u need to progress, you need a multicultural society,made up of whites, yellows, browns, blacks. If you continue to put up an intollerant attitude towards foreigners...it wont be long before u realise that this world is way ahead of U guys. As i watch Obamas inauguartion (i am in Washington), i stand in awe as he is about to be the 44th president of the US.

The Guest makes a statement meant to provoke...It is very fine to appreciate other cultures: art, food, ways of looking at the world...This is the spice of life...But, to think that you have to make your own country a 'multi-cultural mosaic' is absurd and dangerous...The primary purpose of this 'multi-culturalism' is the lowering of wages for the country that hosts these immigrants, and the watering down of their own national culture...Why make Poland into a land of 'little Somalias, Vietnams, Chinas' etc?...European countries have enough of a problem dealing with each other, let alone a host of different racial groups from Africa and Asia and elswhere...And, if you stand in awe of Obama, you don't understand what his purpose is...Any US president works for certain forces, and Obama just happens to have a Black skin...This impresses people like the Guest, who is easily impressed.

Stop this Jews, Jews, Jews for awhile...Jews suffered in WWII like everyone else...The poorer ones anyway...Wars are run by gangster cabals...Run by psychos...You let psychos loose with guns, money, power, propaganda, you get a witch's brew...It's like letting a heroin addict or pedophile live in your house and thinking that he won't steal your property or molest your child...Jews were no special victims, but they learned to effectively use their 'suffering' to make money...I qouted Bernard Lazare earlier in the thread about reasons why Jews were alienated from their host countries in Europe...Read his words...It was the same in Poland, except Poland was extremely tolerant...No more pogrom, pogrom, pogrom...Everybody gets 'pogrommed' at sometime or other...It's just that are different style pogroms.

Really? I can tell you now that most British people (with that I include, English, Irish, Scotish, Welsh and Cornish people) have never even tried this..

HP sauce is a different matter - bacon is not the same without it!

Actually I was joking about certain British food...I am sure there are some really excellent dishes...When I lived in London, though, I found much of the take out food to be 'funny'...But the food in the supermarkets was good: Very good bread (many varieties/brands), good canned soup, excellent cheese, good meat...And if you go to real ethnic restaurants and neighborhoods, the food was very good...The best fast food?...the 'Beigle Bake' on Brick Lane...Hot fresh bread and rolls 365/24/7, and huge salt beef sandwiches w/English mustard, mayo or horseradish for 2 pounds...You can't finish the sandwich in one shot!

I know what he did...He prevented the Jewish Bolsheviks from overunning Central Europe in 1919...Otherwise, the Communist virus would have overwhelmed the continent...What did Jewish Bolsheviks like Lenin, Trotsky, Zinoviev, Kaganovich & Beria and all the others think about human rights?..And it is not about individual Jews, but about a certain mindset.

"The European Commission has announced that state aid granted to the Szczecin and Gdynia shipyards as illegal and must be repaid, but it also gave Poland until the end of May 2009 to sell-off the yards in a move to save jobs and production."

This is because EU wishes to sell the yards to Rothschild cronies...'Gives Poland to 2009 to sell them off'...Who the hell are they!?
