History / Poland before WWII or Poland now what would you choose? [390]

Giving you some political support we do not expect anything in exchange.

It's a healthy political business.
Win win option

If you don't expect anything, why is it win-win option and healthy political business?
Stop pretending your arrogant heart explosions. ;)

Stop discussing Danzig or Gdansk.

Why?
Borrka, I think that you haven't read many posts and many simple questions which I supposedly didn't answer.

I asked you a question Nathan, your country is absolutely alone in Europe, no one will support you in case of Russian agression

Who will support Poland in case of aggression? Haha. WWll - any clue? If it is necessary, everyone is disposable and your security is based solely on your abilities to survive.

looking for friends should be your major priority.

The friendship comes with respect which comes from power. Ukraine has to figure its internal problems - lots of confrontation and BS. When this is over, then we will talk about friendship. Till that time I don't expect anything from you, but spitting in the face and throwing Big Brother's loving arm on my shoulder.

who do you think will come help you against Russia or agressive EU economy?

No one will do a thing. And I hope not only me realizes that. Even with the gas, EU was scared to state that Russia was cutting the gas supply and everyone was ranting about ass-holes Ukrainians making winter in Europe cold. And I understand you absolutely - everyone defends its own interests. That's ok, but at least have decency to stop these nonsensic friendship BS and mutual love.

no one except Poland is interested in the very existence of your state

Do you think Ukraine is interested in your existance or existance of any other country safe for football, tourism and business interests?

No Nathan, an alliance with Russia would most likely end with you losing large parts of your country and having your economy drained leaving your country a 3rd world ruin, an alliance with Poland means economic ties, international recognition and significant leverage in defence of your interests on the international arena, a potential alliance with Poland can grant you things you could never have on your own and in exchange we get cheap labor force that can be easily polonised, a close military and economical partner.

Who is talking about alliance with Russia? Only strong economic development based on stable internal political environment is a key for my country to become an important voice in this world. Only then international community will be interested in investing money to make nice profits of that development. So I don't expect anything, but my country to solve its internal problems and then we will talk. Till that moment enjoy your loving sarcastic arrogance.

History / Poland and Ukraine [240]

Scottish, well part of Family were originally Scottish some 300 years ago )))))))))

I am half Ukrainian, half Edenial. My ancestors were citizens of Eden some 5,000 years ago. Wow, it actually makes Ironside my relative, damn...

Sarcasm aside tell me what country besides Poland has benevolent interests

What is benevolence? It is good will, correct? So how there can be benevolent interests?
If there is such a thing, then benevolence doesn't exist. It should then be called kind business, if such a thing is possible.

Russia probably thinks it does

And Poland likewise. You imagine yourself saviors of the world. Kind of the kindest. After you are satisfied with your false image (is it possible?), keep on licking it and let me laugh.

History / Russia: Poland responsible for WW II [300]

Bzibzioh

No, it’s not. You are just pissed cos it puts a damper on well-established stereotypes about Poland and the Poles

How come people from Lithuania, United States, Britain, Ukraine, Germany, Canada are wrong when it comes to history and other members are right all the time? Seems unnaturally strange to me. Don't you think?

the West would love to forget you exist, that Poland you hate so much prevents that

Ukraine will not continue to be sovereign without Poland

so apart from Poland who's going to reach out to you?

we are a key to your sovereign existence

Wow! Thank you, O Great Poland. Art blesseth Thee! ;)

Well, Ukraine is divida in partes tres, so far we are talking with one part.
See maybe others Ukrainian have something different to say?

Trust me, Ironside, I am the only "part" that still has some interest to debate with you. Others wouldn't even bother to waste their keyboards on this BS.

many of Western politicians like Romano Prodi dont even consider you a part of European community

I knew it! I felt that something is fishy here. Thanks, Prodi, now I know for sure that Ukrainians are living in Wonderland! Sh*t, these teachers of mine were lying all the time, bastards.

at the moment not suitable for closer relations

We want it so bad...closer relations. Ahh!..

Ukraine as such has virtually no serious relationships

No, Ukraine is in love, deep unconditional love with you..;) You are so romantic, Socrates.

if you people were smart you'd learn to love us as the third best thing after sex and vodka since we are THE key to your national well being.

You need this love badly, I know it, Sokrates, you dirty little monkey. Sorry, I am straight. :(

Actually you do, if only because no one else will support you and alone you're too weak to oppose Russia

Don't ya worry. We have some important partnerships and step by step Ukraine will be there. Again shove your "friendship" into your arse. ;)

Anyway, stop saying that Ukrainians and Polish people are the same gene-wise. It's like saying Japan and China are the same

George, don't take the last hope of Ironside to find his genes in Ukrainian genome. It was the last straw in his self-respect. Now, you never know, he might jump out of the window in total despair. ;)

Russia wants, Poland wants - all you want, but you will never get. If the Polish forum is representative of Polish people's opinion - which I think is to a great degree the truth - then I feel more secure, because I know the face of the enemy. Conniving one, as was the case in the history many times. You are a malignant tumor, one that can't be cured and that spreads its BS into the future generations. You tried for centuries and what did you end up with? Whining a*s-holes like yourself claiming about all-suffering Poland. Nobody needs your support - shove it up into your arse.

Yet you side with everyone but Poles - great, friend ))))))

It is not about sides, it is about facts.

See, you getting excited but what about Poles murdered brutally by your heroes ?

UPA killed scum like some AK soldiers who were killing women and kids and tortured prisoners in concentration camps like Germans in WWll

thinks so? moron !

Try to be more respectful, especially to ones who said nothing offending to you.

Point - everything that belonged to Poland in the year 1772 should belong to Poland and is not greedy or stupid - its your attitude which is really stupid

Everything that belonged to Kijevan Rus' should belong to Ukraine. France should be within 1812 borders. Germany should be with 1940 territories. Austrian should be in 1914 lands and so on... Do you mind? Were will you be? 4th partition - give me a break! ;)

Ukraine allied with Poland have every chance to became truly strong and independent country

We are independant and we don't need any chances. Go ahead ally with Russians. Nobody gives a fu*k. Anyway, from what I see on this forum, you will always be enemies and along the history line you always were in cohoots with Russians. I don't think anyone expects much from you, save a stab in the back (Riga 1920, Andrusiv Treaty 1667 etc.)

and after WW2 when Polish army moved into Galicja you got your ass handed to you again in "Operation Wisła" all you Ukrainians could ever fight was women and children since whenever our soldiers came you got served

Operation Wisła (Polish: Akcja Wisła) was the codename for the 1947 deportation of southeastern post-war Poland's Ukrainian (including Boyko and Lemko) populations, carried out by the Polish Communist authorities[1][2] About 200,000 people, residing in southeastern Poland were forcibly resettled to the new territories in the north and west of the country.

It has been described as an ethnic cleansing by Polish[4] and Western sources[5] [6] as well as by Ukrainians. The operation commenced at 4 a.m., April 28, 1947

Your "soldiers" even got decorations for beating and killing women and kids. Sick f*cks.

Or because it exists as a state or nation for less than 2 centuries, US is young and has no significant cultural achievement as well:)

I now understand what BB wanted to say. ;) I hope some day you will spill your wisdom and culture upon the world so that we could enjoy the greatness of your complete enlightenment.

single handedly toppled communism

Cool. What else did you do single-handedly? ;)

But then again you're an idiot hellbent on insulting us once your lack of reason was revealed.

In your head the surrounding world looks idiotic, guess why?

However, in the 10th century when Poles founded Gdańsk,
communist were only a very small and insignificant minority LOL

History wasn't made until 20th century, Torq. But it is good to know more about Gdansk. There is no historical support whatsoever about Polish origin of the city. It is clear that it is full of German history and traditions. And now after horrible "purge" of Germans civilians by Poles in 1945, the city still has many German-speaking citizens.

Actually thats the problem, Freebird presented a lot of his own opinionated rubbish and an article that blatantly ignores the uncomfortable facts from Gdańsk' history, such as it being built by Poles.

I think he presented in your face unconfortable facts.

No wonder Ukraine has almost no culture :)))

"Jadzia suknie polokala
w oko Jasia mucha wpala - hopca-ca"
You are far ahead of the whole world. ;)

Quite the opposite, the city was in Polish hands untill late 16th century, even though it was for a time under Teutonic rule the population and city goverment was Polish, the majority of Polish troops serving for the Teutonic order came from the region of Gdańsk :)))

Who are you talking to, kids?! Never heard of more blunt lie in my life.

enjoy it mate your military spending is twice smaller than the Polish one :)))

Because we produce our own tanks and don't buy them from Germans. It is good that you replaced your TH-1(;) with German Leopard-2.

Ironside

Ironside, you are a piece of work, you know that?! Freebird presented you with facts about Gdansk and its history and you jumped to Vietnam and stuff. It is history and Gdansk was German by origin, population, architecture...Its population was predominantly German the last 1000 years and there is nothing to be defensive about. I don't think anyone is going to take it from you. I didn't have time to learn more about beautiful Marien church in Gdansk (I saw it last summer) - now I know a bit more. Germans built it in 1224 and most of the writings inside are done in German. The city was in Polish hands less than 300 years and in that short period majority of its habitants were not Polish. I know it is tough to accept the truth. Sometimes, I put myself likewise, but facts are facts and you can't do a thing about it.

On the other hand, it is so easy for you to justify everything , even when defending two different points contradict themselves. Sometimes history will catch you again. Pray it won't make you bleed because of your blind greedy stupidity.

#190.

Not really they believed in French and British guaranties!

Like Ukrainians believed in Polish in 1920 in Riga?

or tell me when there was an independent state called Ukrainian Duchy, Kingdom, Republic or other and was independent longer then one year.
And if you show me that such state had present territories - I'll agree with everything you say - otherwise you should stop talk rubbish

It had a different name and it was called Kijevs'ka Rus' lX - Xlll centuries, then it was Hetmanate Ukraine XVl-XVll centuries, then it was Ukrainian People's Republic in 1918-1920, then it was Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic - 1922-1991. Now it is Ukraine. We have a long history, brother.

As for Ukraine there was no such a state before 1990 - never!

I want to let you know that Ukraine regained its independance on August 24, 1991. Hope this year you will celebrate this day the way it is supposed to.

I fully agree with some guys about your laughingstockability syndrome. You don't even know the basics of history and claim that country never existed. It's pathetic. Grow up, kid. Westerns territories of Ukraine were occupied by Poland and now Ukraine rightfully possesses its old territories. Let's not talk about Peremyszel', which remained in Poland even though it belonged to Kijivska Rus'. Keep it. You are scared of Germans. It looks like as soon as something happens on your western border you will run in fear to the eastern to claim something in Ukraine. You will be met. As I've already told once, don't be afraid to bring horses, Ukraine won't use its new T-84 Oplot-M tanks the way your western neighbors did in WW1. ;)

If Poland were treated rightly as one of the main victors of the WWII we would have keep our prewar border in the east and had some addition in the north and west - not so radical as present border!

You claim that Poland was a main victor and should have taken territories of Ukraine for that? What about Ukrainians, haven't they fought and died for their land? Ukrainians lost 1.4 million soldiers, while Poland - 240,000 soldiers. As a country we lost 7.5 millions people! So should Ukraine claim some of the Poland or Germany now? Have some respect to the fallen, victims of this fcuking war. Brainwashed like you start all the wars because they want more and more.

Live your life or groom your horses. We are ready.

Ironside:
thats all very nice but it would not stop your heroes from UPA>

I wanted to answer it, but I didn't understand completely. Oh, ok I see...
Ukrainians are very patient and kind people. War is a war and shite happens. But you cannot put everyone under one line in UPA as well as I can't do it to Armija Krajowa. You see - you hate UPA and I hate Armija Krajowa. Where does it lead us - you are a Polish and I am Ukrainian. I saw AK soldiers on Pulaski parade proudly marching even though some of them murdered innocent women and kids (don't tell me your side's ***** statements about AK arch-angels - we are both adults, right?). The same you feel about soldiers of UPA, some of whom killed the same way. Where do we end up in this hatred? Nowhere. Because neither you, nor me will make a step back in our opinion. This leads us to constant hostility. It is nonsense. The best way to resolve this issue is for each country to celebrate their heros and don't tell what others have to do. Read Bible: Before looking to take a splinter out of your brother's eye, take a log out of your own.
