Love / Foreigners in relationships with Poles - do your in-laws accept you? [66]

Im an Aquarius.

In one word 'No'

Now thats not very friendly, just think my kids would be full Polish that way...(I dont like the idea of having my eggs taken either)

anyway Victoria Beckhams had three and she is size zero !

Yeah, like im going to live on ice for the rest of my life...

i thought you were going ?

No, I was saying I had been for a long soak :)

Migrains are killers, I used to suffer a lot, I used to have them every single Friday when I was at school, just after Sister Philaminia's cookery class she was a right cow and used to stress me out...but I dont get them that often, I have ended up in hospital twice, first time for 5 days - but that was in my late teens

But you could learn all Polish things, like cooking, cleaning, sewing....

I can do all those, I had a traditional English upbringing, I know my way around a kitchen and a sewing machine - as for the cleaning well every thing in its place and all that :)

Lol.......now where has Amathyst gone..........you two were getting on so well.......:)

To have a long soak,

LIR honestly you can have him, just think of the hours of fun talking about the different fillings of Perogi...lol

I am curious, but I think your post made me understand more...so your environment was Polish even though the outside world was one that was English...

I've always felt I had no roots in the UK. But I was born here, speak impeccable English, my home is here but my genes are 100 % Polish.....:) If you can imagine that you were born in another country, with a different language but your parents brought you up in their culture. Maybe you could understand a bit. Being Polish and finding your roots is so very, very important <for me anyway>

Okay I understand to a certain degree, but I think environment influences you not your genes, they merely serve as "genetic make-up" what you look like etc.... not who you are as a person. Maybe its something you yearn for...

Then you will never have them then, because the more you do the more you want to do and the older you get the more selfish you get.

Good luck to her, because the universities have finished for summer, I think you will find she will find it a little bit more difficult to find a job, plus the fact some Bulgarian will do it for cheaper than she will....aint being in the EU brill

If you bothered to read my post, you will find nothing racist about it, so now are you telling me that the average Pole in the UK earns 20 - 30K...dont make me laugh.

Because my figures were based on an average, if I want to start bragging that all my mates are professionals and earn in excess of 50K alone I could have but I was trying to explain in terms that you might understand or even have a little bit of sympathy for a young british couple!! I hope Bubba purchases at least another fekin 5 houses.....

I spoke to him 2 months ago and he was getting elecution lessons so that he could loose his Polishness and get a proper English accent.

??? why??

I knew such places should be in UK!

You would love the lake district, where poets and writers hailed from...small english villages with tea shops and a country pub and views to die for

Otherwise polish people will start new lifes in England pushing price of all things including homes even more.

Ola123, I would imagine it's a very small proportion of Polish (at the moment) that would be able to aford to buy properties, because when I say young couples that cant aford, Im talking about a couple who have a combined income of circa. £50,000, when you wiegh up the average price of a house at £250,000 even they struggle..

But my friend (polish) along with her boyfriend have already bought land in Poland with the money they have been saving whilst in the UK, so ola123 its not the English pushing up the prices, it's still foreign money thats being invested.

I only said that people are less tolerant and this has nothing to do with class, at least not in this country.

Also as for all this secret police stuff and deporting nationals, England is quite different from Russia so I dont think a lot of what you say applies to us.

don't tell me that It should make me happy or that It does something good for me because It simply doesn't.

Me either G, but thats life, the average young British couple (first time buyers) cannot aford to buy a house these days, so it's not only Poland that is affected by it and there is absolutly nothing we can do about it.

The Polish have no choice but to work, they are not allowed to claim anything for 16 months (not that the vast majority would want to), so I dont really see your above comments being related to what espana has said, his problem is not with Poles but with people from 3rd world countries coming and screwing the system in the UK. But with all the bleeding heart libberals out there the man on the street doesnt stand a chance.
