Life / Polish people living in Poland, How do you see your future? [37]

I'm a Polish teacher, when I finish my studies I'm going to teach foreigners so well, I will probably have to work abroad.

i imagine that more and more people will be coming to poland for a week or two to learn the language and enjoy what the country has to offer - i did two weeks at the sopot school of polish last month and was suprised at the number of different nationalities there.

the school is small, but growing rapidly, and students were there because they had moved to poland to be with their partner, or were working with poles back home, or wanted to do business in poland, or any number of reasons...

with an understanding of how the overseas language travel industry works, and a thoughtout marketing strategy, i believe that an enterprising polish language teacher could do very well for themselves without having to leave the country...

They still live in Poland

youre obviously to stupid to realise whats happening around you

Life / "Poles love to bowl" - another Polish stereotype? (& other sports) [44]

yes SIR :-P

:-)

1. if you scratch then the other player gets to position ball where he wants.

2. Polish rules allow for flukes

english rules, the correct rules, allow you to scratch your balls to your heart's content providing you are not sharing a cue

Feedback / Please don't spoil other peoples threads [20]

dont get defensive daff... it was a perfectly above board and straight forward question... an appropriate emoticon would indicated this...

must make effort to be less subtle with facetiousness...

Life / What is the Prison system like in _Poland? [44]

for OAPs, life in prison is a damn sight more attractive than life on a British pension

this comment has been ignored and whilst it is slightly off topic i would like to get peoples reactions to it

pensioners in the uk struggle, as they do in poland, life in prison offers the 3 good meals a day, constant heating and hot water, clean clothes, a social life, use of gym and library, an allowance to spend on luxuries and access to tv and other forms of entertainment... for many, this is a lot better than what a state pension offers

can such comparisons realistically be made between life on a polish pension and life in a polish prison?

USA, Canada / Shootings in America; over 30 people shot [52]

deep down... most americans fear that one day the brits will say "ok... you had your fun... now its time to give the colonies back... they dont belong to you and you seem to have made a bit of a mess"... this is why the average american feels an overwhelming right to keep and bare arms... its obviously not to protect themselves from the indians anymore... duh...
