I know even better option, no public funds at all for health problems of smokers caused by their behavior with full awarenesses of the consequences.

packet of fags in the UK are £6.00 now how much do you think of that is tax...trust me I pay for my health care twice over and practically funded the war in Iraq!

Life / "3 Year Tattoo" in Poland? [13]

You can get semi-permanent tattoos at tattoo studios in the UK, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get them done in Poland.

I got told that there is no such thing as a semi perm tat - I looked into having one to see how I liked it before going for the real thing....good job I love the real thing!

As for Henna tats, you're lucky if they last a week...I purchased a henna set before going for the real thing...I have a very artistic friend ;-)

I cant actually see any difference in trade in the pubs near where I live, they have all got nice seating outside now with heaters and a couple of them had flat screens fitted outside so blokes can watch the footie, drink and smoke all at the same time, who said men cant multi task.....isn't that just heaven :-)..

I think pubs are closing down because people simply cannot afford to spend the money they used to, nice city bars will always do okay but local pubs will suffer because people dont have the expendable income and why spend £3.50 on a pint when you can get a x 4 pack from tesco for the same price!

UK, Ireland / Polish citizen worked in the UK for 1 year - eligible for an UK pension? [23]

incubus

I can appreciate where you are coming from I was misdiagnosed and on the wrong medication for 3 years...but it the oposite way round my GP got it wrong, the doctors got it right, somethings are not that clear cut to diagnose, but I would never go off what the net does...anyway I hope your next pregnancy goes a little bit smoother health wise :)

UK, Ireland / What's So Great About The UK? [416]

Who uses this lower priced labour though? No doubt a lot of people on lower incomes. I'm sure it's very trendy to blame it all on the middle classes but at the end of the day, working class people are taking advantage of low price labour and undercutting themselves every time they buy a sandwich from the supermarket.

Blimey and I thought I talked shite!

UK, Ireland / Are the Poles in England hated? [450]

Jaguar is Indian

Only recently!

Rolls-Royce as being British

it's an iconic British brand as is the above...do you think people would pay top dollar for a fu*king nissan!...i.e. a British product purchased by a foreign company to sell...It's all about the brandy baby!

come over for a few years and go back, then why should you?.. you would get your pension in Poland.

Foxy there are misconceptions though, I had a friend, she was here for a year and she was convinced she was going to get a pension..people automatically believe that because they paid in they are entiled to a full pension...I wonder if they would be so excited if they realised that will equate to the price of a loaf of bread!

UK, Ireland / Are the Poles in England hated? [450]

i didn`t know that. it must be some of the white guys` insecurities and jealousy or whatever it is, it`s sad

It's nothing to do with insecurities, it's just they wouldn't touch a white girl after she's slept with an asian / black guy - ie. they feel that the girl is sullied a bit of lepar ect..... Not all English are a libbral as you think, in fact there are a lot of people who don't agree with mixed relationships.

That's correct and anyone with a degree wishing to study a further degree will have to pay the full wack!( being introduced soon)...i.e. what a foreign (none EU member) has to pay...which is up to £9K dependent on course...

in UK we have few brains to take advantage of the education we offer.

who's we? I had no idea you were British?

they walk around calling all white women with black/asian guys kur**

Nothing new, it's been the same in the UK since I can remember - I have male friends who would consider a girl damaged goods if she had been with a paki or a black guy...They wouldn't abuse a women in the street though...

i suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum,

Im sorry you had such a bad time, but you have already stated on a thread that you diagnosed yourself..I have a condition which is very similar to a couple of other conditions but the treatment is quite different...things are not always as they seem...I would speak to a specialist next time you are pregnant to have this confirmed by a professional. It's like finding a lump in your breast and automatically assuming you have cancer when in fact it's just a cyst...the net is good for general information and not there to diagnose health problems.

if we work here even for one year, we should be getting something in return

you had you baby here didn't you so I am assuming you got hospital treatment, you say you had to have time off sick so I am assuming you got sick pay, you get child benefit....Ive paid into the system for 20 years so by my reckoning you have had more than I have!

ok then, at least they can claim their tax back after a year.

Im sure that most Polish people do claim a certain amount back.

It's acceptable in England either. Neither is wearing a skirt that's the width of a belt but I see a lot of Polish girls seem to following that trend on a night out these days...really classy!

UK, Ireland / Polish doctors fly over just to work in the UK [15]

i did some research on the internet and found that i suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum which is a pregnancy illness affecting only about 1% of pregnant women and is far worse than normal morning sickness

Self diagnosis, doesnt mean that's what you had - you are not a professional....sorry but some women aren't good with pregnancy and some florish!

UK, Ireland / Polish doctors fly over just to work in the UK [15]

Grounded

The majority of doctors that are making mistakes and costing the NHS - grievances, going off sick for months at a time with stress and making the most of free training in the UK are overseas doctors (I dont mean EU), you see they come here, get all the nice free training and then apply for a British passport!...unbelieveable! And they are UNGREATFUL and crap!

We need to invest in young British doctors, not foreign ones whose grammer isnt even elementary!....tsk!
I'd rather take my chances with a Polish Dr. any day of the week!

Not to mention muslim doctors that are refusing to do medical checks on women or treat people with alchol related problems....tis true folkes...

Travel / Krakow going down the toilet! [184]

Theres a running joke with my students that the female Brits are locked up at home because we hardly see any;):D

Actually its quite funny you say this because each time I've been to Poland I have heard plenty of English men, but never seen any English women...and when I was in Karlovy Vary in CZ I didnt see or hear any English people...ooooo that was nice, but quite strange...

Definitely not only British. I've recently watched a documentary about the child sex industry in Tailand and Cambodia. They were secretly documenting an American Dr. in Cambodia, and the extremely young (5 +) being sold to mainly Americans and Brits. It's a shocking reality.

Z, I wouldn't class this as a "sex industry" though, these are paedophiles and need locking up and the key throwing away, and as long as people in these countries turn a blind eye to it, it's going to carry on, I would imagine there is a lot of money in this line of business....laws are only a deterrent if they are implemented and it's quite evident they are not.

Er, I wish someone would point this out to my friends then...most recently I've been to Aberdeen and Newcastle for "hen weekends" and never in the Summer months either... :)

Depending on "class / age" of hens, it's nothing like a stag dooo, generally pretty chilled and NOT based around drinking...AND NO DRESSING UP...

Love / Fallen for a Polish Guy!! But he's got back to Poland to get married! [71]

I'm not quite getting what this is all about, they had an affair, they were both honest about their intentions (well as honest as you can be when having an affair) he went home to get married...end of really...

The only people who derserve any pitty here are the people that they are in a relationship with.

BTW.. Jyst... British men can be miserable, lying, cheating, fuckwitwankers, devoid of any respect for women too :)

NB

I don't believe in all that BS..you cant help who you fall for rubbish, we are not animals, we can control our urges!

UK, Ireland / FREE PART TIME COURSES IN ENGLISH! (LONDON) [24]

Whatever, I would suggest you take full advantage of it, after all it is FREE! Maybe I'll inquire whilst in Spain if the government would consider running FREE Spanish classes for us ignorant English...

Yes I know that it's a political thing and the forum isn't the place to discuss this, but I just wanted to answer you question.

Read things a little bit clearer!

Who ever created this topic is talking through their arse

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/7170125.stm

And here is the answer to that chap who asked about FREE Polish lessons

Advanced courses do exist, but only if you go to Poland itself (from experience) There is an excellent school in Sopot that teaches Polish as a foreign language to English speaking people.(its expensive but well worth it)

News / EU a beacon of light for the World to follow [85]

Many voices make light work and there's safety in numbers.

too many cooks spoil a broth too...

Schengen zone should be expanded to whole Europe

Most British people would dissagree with you on that, whilst this might work in Europe, it wouldnt work for England.

as for WB's comments on a WU...no thanks for once I agree with Mr C, you must have been drunk or high on drugs to make such a comment!

Travel / Krakow going down the toilet! [184]

I was recently in Spain and stayed in a 5 ****

The next 7 days were a nightmare, there were twenty or more families similar to the Gallaghers from that series on TV ( Shameless )

Not quite ringing true there matie...You've been watching Benidorm on telly haven't you...go on own up! I very much doubt that scrotes can afford 5 star accommodation for a family of 20!

I visit Spain quite a bit and stay at a friends apartment, not in the 6 years I have been visiting seen this kind of behaviour, mind you, you get a better class of yob in Marbella ;-)

being totally inebriated before 11pm were the things that surprised me the most in the “modern brtish culture”. :)

It's getting better now that bars are open later IMO
