You are mixing things up too much. Only a few restaurants are truly that way. There is a degree of aloofness in service here. The Scots are visibly more open in this way. The Japanese do that all the time and they were warriors for many a year. It's more connected with respect than weakness, a big difference if ever there was one!

Quite a few Polish men are hardmen. Many Polish women like hardmen as they are the ones that get things done. They can't control them that easily but they like the challenge. Many women here are sharp-tongued devils and you'd best believe it!

It would depend on the level of drunkeness and observation. Some slip out and nobody notices. It just depends what class you are from. Many don't stand on ceremony. Go-enryo indeed!

A Croat then? Germans are Germans, say no more. There are some Poles who see themselves as people for the whipping, that's true. Some women are easily manipulated but why would you want to do that to them? Discreet, perhaps. Inept, probably.

What do you base that opinion on? The Poles have learned their lessons from WWII and will fight anything that attacks their own. They are defensive and can strike too. I do agree that some of their women can be controlled, esp by foreigners. In the main, they are Slavs just like yourselves.

Sorry, I didn't notice much different in Serbia. They seemed much like Scots in the way they walked and held themselves.

Poles lack spine? Fire them up and you will see that that just isn't the case. They are often indifferent but you can hit their passion points and then they most definitely aren't spineless. I can see some of the fire in Poles that I see in Scots. Touch a raw nerve and you'll see their power.

Dziki means wild. Poles tend to mix well only with themselves, much like the Japanese in that respect. They even ignore one another :)

Many Poles describe Balkans people as 'dziki' and with good reason. People in the Balkans don't realise how alike they are but still fought one another, pointless!

And how do you know this exactly? I beg to differ. Try coming to Silesia and test your theory out. You may be disappointed. Many women here are hardnuts and will squash you if you let them.

Mediterranean or Balkan? To me, Greece and Italy are Mediterranean and Balkan is upwards of Macedonia. The border is near Ohrid I'd say.

Vegetable stalls are the best bet. You can make a couple of good meals for dirt cheap. Also, they have cut pickles which you can throw into the mix. They have soya products too if you want to go one step further.

Poles tend not to tip which is perceived as bad etiquette amongst many. However, I understand why they don't. If I had the same salary as some people here, I'd be the same. It's all too easy for businessmen to lavishly throw around notes but your average person here cannot afford to do that.

That's a clear difference. Britain has many more goss magazines and they discuss celebrities to a mind-numbingly boring extent. It's the same old crap with Peter Andre, Jordan and Ant&Dec. Britain is a stagnant country in that respect.

I don't know if you are entitled but there is a scheme called ZUS ZUA. That's the card I have through the NFZ. I'm led to believe that the coverage is fairly extensive. I was 17 when I got my operation for ostreocondroma in Scotland. I don't think any payment was involved.

Some are and some aren't. Many try to be but it's a man's fault if he lets himself be controlled, rather than shaped through discussion. The golden word is NO.

Yeah, the barging aspect of it isn't so nice. They can nudge you into tight spots.

Another thing I've noticed is that some Poles don't know how to say goodbye. You can be talking to them about sth interesting and then they'll abruptly cut off and give a quick 'see ya'. There was a thread about this in reference to GG and FB. You can be chatting to them and they'll suddenly just switch off or ignore you completely.
