Life / Homosexuals in Poland / Hands off (PETITION) [797]

2.This nation survived 3000 years without their own country, thanks to very strict rules (often called racist, homophobic). Who are they?

Suddenly feel like i'm watching an Episode of Going for Gold. Hands on your Plungers. <ahem>

Life / An email address of Poland [13]

put it on here

Not to put any moistness in that particular direction but if it is legitimate and it does get deciphered it may lead to said 19 year old receiving fan mail from a certain demographic with breathing difficulties and fear of inclement weather.

Language / Too comparative ! [14]

I pretty sure you do it in the same was as the German. Adding a suffix.

So while it is grammatically incorrect in English, it would probably be
"beautiful-er than..."
"expensiv-er than..."

In fact a faint bell is ringing in the rolling hillside that is my my mind:
Ladniejszy
Drozszy

But wait for a Pole to confirm/deny I've not used what basic polish I have for about a year. :)

Aha the L station rules is it?
No stops with an L except on Sundays unless there is a Test Match in it's 5th day.

<inhales through teeth>

You're hardcore. I've never seen that regulation invoked in a game before. Ok, well i'm going to have to cut off your perpendiculars in order to protect myself from being blocked from getting back into Zone 1.

Tottenham Hale.

Genealogy / Tomczyk, Kolbuszowa, does anyone know what/where Colby Soba, Austria might be? [10]

I just searched Google.at for you and found this as my first hit:

Geburtsort:, Kolbuszowa/Galizien (Österreich-Ungarn, heute: Polen).

Translation: Place of birth Kolbuszowa/Galicia (Austria-Hungary, today: Poland)

My guess he was born there when the Austro-Hungarian Empire was in charge of Poland makng him Austrian. But definitely born in Poland. :)

Life / Public Transport in Warsaw [33]

Warsaw punk

Never liked punk whatever the city of origin but i suppose it fits. Safety pins and ghetto blasters. Maximum annoyance and even better captive audiences. The ultimate mobile disco. :)

edit: clumbsy spelling

are you not a little bit condescending

"Hello Dulux, how can I help?"
"My name's pot, i've just bought this kettle, can you colour match it for me?"
"Certainly sir, it's Cressida Black."

Langenscheidt

The lurid yellow of Langenshite. You poor thing Amy you have my sympathy. For me and it's all subjective vicar naturally the best was Pons or Hueber with quite appropriately Langenshite bringing up the rear. :)

As to today...

Exactly mate.

Russia is still potent. I know a few who are part of the Russia Strong!!! crew but their looking the wrong way. Russia's muscle is made up of natural resources these days. Expansionism is so eighties. Shoulder pads and MANPADS, it's all linked. I'll worry when Dynasty makes a comeback, till then it's all about gas.

Yes.

You missed the memo that got circulated about the above poster. Do a search of his posting history to bring yourself up to speed. Word from the jaded. Smile and nod. :)

at which point he should go & shag her best friend right ? ;-)

Or if he's not the eye for an eye type and rather the broken bones for an eye type, he could trace the ip. Either way. Not a pleasant situation. Murky waters. I'll stick to dry land.

The results are that bad English is often not corrected

Allow me to right a wrong. :)

You can institutionalise a young offender and send him to a correctional facility in order to correct his behavior. :)

UK, Ireland / London, not my cup of tea [30]

surely dear admin posts 15 onward are off topic and more suited to random non abusive chat? We've got to have consistency in all things, including cake mixture and rule enforcement. :)

UK, Ireland / British taxpayers pay homeless Polish to go home. [184]

non violent direct action

I favour violent indirect action.
Bang head on the desk repeatedly. It saves arguing with LoneStranger's Ilk but has the same result. :)
