No!
I don't get heartburn that often. Only if I drink farrrr too much of certain types of beer. And I get it if I drink copious amounts of Tequila. But I just hadn't seen rennies about, but i found some today.
I actually found the best relief back home was a spoonful of bicarb in water.

Just a quick question before I jump to the Apteka. I have been getting quite bad heartburn today, what are some of the brand names of heartburn treatments here...I have not seen rennies or gaviscon here. Also if you don't know then what is Polish for heartburn so I can ask the wee woman.

Life / Prescription Medicines - Do Polish doctors get Commission? [7]
I am actually just off the phone with my mum and she said the same. It is the suitable treatment because it is acute and they want to minimise scarring so it does not go long term.
As I said, I am not a doctor and so had no idea of the correct treatments or whatever. I just felt that wandering about with a bag of stuff and an injection seemed like a lot. But obviously not.

I had an asthma attack last night (first time in my life) and so went to the doctors today. He was very good, very professional and very friendly...I will definately be going back if I am sick.
However, I felt that the amount of medication given to me was quite excessive. I had an injection, 2 inhalers and a course of tablets prescribed. Now I am not a doctor, so does anyone else have asthma (in the tops of the lungs) that takes medication for it?
I know that in Singapore, the consultants and doctors there get a commission from prescriptions, so I am not complaining about this. Just curious.

It shouldn't be a problem at all, depends where you are right enough. If you are in a city (and especially a hotel) it will be no problem at all. If you are out in the sticks then it could be a struggle...same as any other country to be honest. I was staying in a wee island of Indonesia and had no trouble there where most people were living in makeshift cardboard box houses.

I was told it was similar to the Scottish pronunciation of ch, Loch, Glenfiddich, etc.
What if the ch is at the end of the word? Ruch / Lech etc.?

I have noticed this, and on with in (which was explained to me by the example that correct way is "Jestem na Kazimierzu" and not (which would be the english translation) "Jestem z Kazimierzu"
Dobrze also means well and Poles confuse good with well.

I remember reading somewhere that the best thing to do is to encourage the child to speak english at school and with friends, but only speak to him in Polish in the house and with family.
Supposedly if you speak a second language to your child they are likely to pick up on any mistakes you make. So it is better to speak your first language with the child.

However I would be raging if my girlfriend read any of my text messages (if any did they would get no shocks...my texts all pretty much consist of "fancy a pint?" haha). There is a certain privacy to a phone's memory that must be respected. I would never read anyone's text messages be it a girlfriend, mate or family.

It would be alright if it was a kid speaking clearly. But I just couldn't understand a word that they were saying, it was too high and there was basic pronunciation mistakes that even I picked up on. Good to hear that at least the 8 has gone back to normal!

I moved warsaw a month ago. 15 minutes ago a police came to my apartment. I couldn't understand what she was saying I tried to call my flat owner but didn't answer. She then asked for my passport and phone number and took some notes and leave.

It is a Polish bank, WBK, however their 24 hour banking is only in Polish after 8pm. I know I can phone them now and get it fixed, but i need to speak polish to do that. Is my best option to go to my friend and get her to phone them for me?

Right, so I payed a bill in cash which meant I took 2000pln from a Bankomat (i am with WBK). Is there any way I can have my card re-activated now? The english office is closed and my polish is near enough non-existant. If anyone can help me (by writing what options to take and what say) that would be brilliant. I have only the number on the back of my card. If it is possible to do this over the internet banking that would be even handier....HELP!
