I havent said anything about being unhappy.

Just said that Poland no longer offers the value for money it did previously. Which it doesnt. Undeniably. When you finally go back to your own country you will be shoked how far your zloty no longer goes.

Ive made fuk loads of money from Polish property and what I still have I will sit on until the time comes to sell. Not for a few years I imagine. Ive partied hard, drunk bucket loads of beer, enjoyed good company, avoided the women and beat the locals at their own game.

Ive paid more tax in Poland in the past 12 months than you have probably earnt in the past 24, taken nothing from the system, dealt with shoddy workmanship, paid over-inflated prices and laughed in beaurocrats faces. It's been fun. It's been an adventure.

But Im starting to agree with the growing number of expats who say they no longer want to work with the Poles. It's just not worth it

Much of what you say here is true, and therefore offensive to many on this board.

It's not about how expensive it is, it's about value for money and at the moment Poland in many respects is starting to price itself above the value it provides.

People will put up with low quality and poor service when the price is right, but when you can get better for the same price elsewhere the choice is obvious.

Reminds of something said to me by a Pole a couple of weeks ago - why should I spend my vacation in Karwia when I can go to Sardinia for the same price?

There will always be idiots in every coutnry but of course some countries have more idiots than others.

The UK's idiot control programme includes a live rail. If you are stupid enough to play chicken with trains or p!ss on the live rail - fizz bang - one less idiot to worry about. Huge amounts of money to be saved by giving people the opportunity to remove themselves from the gene pool

Ive had some fantastic 'clubbing' experiences in Poland where it's much more likely to hear the sort of music I want to hear rather than the commercial plumf that gets churned out in most clubs nowdays.

Clubbing in Sopot has been free for ages which means you can wander as the mood takes you. Thats changed and te key clubs have now started charging.

Del Boy - why the fuk anyone would want to go to Newcastle for any reason is beyond me ;)

The ones I visited were full of pretentious Poles who thought they were a cut-above becasue they had escaped their little village and made it to the capital. The fact that it's a sh!thole hadn't dawned on them

Aha. But theyve thought of that too. Carry on bags fit to burst and squeezed into over head lockers so there is no room to put normal sized hand luggage. Still, if RyanSh!ttyAir is going to charge 25 sovs to check in a bag then fair play to them.

Especially when everyone else has paid for the same privilage. And to make it funnier, they all rush up the first set of stairs leaving the back set free for all the sensible people who didnt bother with the priority pass.

Same with getting off. They all jump up as soon as the plane lands, switch on their mobile phones and surge forward, leaving the back exit freed up for those sensible people sitting at the back of the plane
