Join a dating agency - get to know someone and then see how it goes- western culture is very different to that, that exists in India - arranged marriages are easy in comparison - in the west it is normal to date for a couple of years (some have been known to date for over 10 years) fall in love and learn about them and then the next step is to plan a wedding and then to live together and learn more and more each day about the other person.

You simply can't just walk up to someone and expect them to give up their life and home and marry what could be considered a complete stranger. I don't know how old you are Roy but I think possibly you need to grow up a little bit and consider what it means to another person to have to leave their family and to go and live in a country which is culturally a million miles away :)

You have a picture in your minds eye of your perfect dream woman, maybe closing your eyes to others is stopping you finding something that might be right in front of you.

Your intentions are not completely honest and this is not a good start to a relationship, what if you meet a Polish girl and she doesn't want to move to Dubai, whilst Im sure the life style you have is wonderful, the cultural differences are totally different even though Dubai is quite a "modern" place, it is still under Islamic Shariah laws and it might be difficult for someone to not only adapt to a new country but also to a husband who has a different cultural background. She has already explained, she was told by the husband that he would murder her and her daughter.

People react different in these kinds of situations, it's not a large town they are from so that may have been a factor, people tend to know eachother very well and there is a great deal of shame attached in this kind of thing and some people would rather let it continue than reveal to the world that their husband is a rapest child abuser.

I saw the mother interviewed last night on t.v. - she had invited journalists into her home to give them a guided tour and show them where her husband use to rape their daughter, I couldn't get over how she was so matter of fact about it, I'd like to think she was in shock about it all, but it didn't appear that way. Barcelona is a bit of a mixed bag - love it or hate it, it will be an experience. Beer is cheap (about 4 - 7 euro depending on where you drink) and food is pretty nice too and very reasonable :), I'm sure driving would be "interesting".

Re: France, Marceille is my fav place with great sea food restaurants and oodles of atmosphere and Antibs is beautiful too, Nice old town is nice with some lovely old architecture - just drive down the coastline it's amazing.
