But I think plk123 has a good point. If the two of you had been very close before it would make sense that she would need you right now. Were you very close before? Has she let you visit her or spend time with her since the death?

yes, that is my assumption here based on his hurt feelings as he didn't share much more then that with us. those are good Qs shewolf.

but these are mainly southern or krakow which is not all of poland. there is more to PL then that one region and the costumes and customs definitely differ from area to area.

Work / Moving to Poland with my work - which town should I choose? [25]

Hello! Im moving to Poland with my work, but i get to choose which area of Poland i live in. I was thinking maybe somewhere outside warsaw or in the west of Poland, but i wanted to ask;

Can anyone recommend any good towns i should look at?

Preferably i'd like somewhere with restaurants, bar's, nightlife! It can be somewhere well known, or maybe not!

Thanks for any suggestions!

what kind of stuff beside restaurants and such do you like. those things are in every city.. mountains? sea? open country? close to other countries? what other things do you fancy?

did you read about the part that poland was actually threatening the nazis? if that ain't a sad joke, i dunno what is.

they say in there that bydgoszcz was given to PL after the ww1.. how about RETURNED?

In fact, it was ethnic Poles massacred in various areas of Silesia throughout the interwar period, not ethnic Germans in Danzig. This sounds like old war propaganda used by the German government at the time to justify the Wehrmacht's invasion of Polish territory and the destruction of Warsaw.

Thank you Polish patriotic emigrants.
In year 2007 we had new record of amounts of money sended to our beautiful country (mostly help for families or investements) by Poles living in foreign countries.

can you make up your mind? i thought people who are not in PL aren't polish according to your view. hmm

This is very very true

part of this is that in PL real historical events have been suppressed ever sinc ethe commies.. thing sare just coming to light now. eventually the histories will be much closer.

that's probably true but that's not right.

thats what i have been doing but the way the conversation goes it semms that im bothering her and its hard to keep calling it makes me fell im pushing her away more.

exactly why i said what i said. i don't particularly agree with shewold or magdalena on this. you need to think of yourself at this point as she isn't thinking about you.

i feel she's really treating you like dirt, and i wouldn't put up with it.

Give her time, people grieve in different ways and it would seem she doesnt want any close contact and you are probably not the only one she is pushing away...

maybe so, but she seems to not be pushing the ex. consider all that when you're thinking about this situation eddie.

It would be a major faux pas towards both your family and your partner.

what? so bf/gf is not family? i think invitation still should have been forwarded.. maybe a warning and an explanation of what goes on should have followed it but obviously this poster's feelings have been hurt and that's not cool. the whole world doesn't all of a sudden revolve about a departed. i think this gf's actions are inconsiderate. why wouldn't she want support of someone that she cares about and that has reciprocal feelings towards her?

well not neccessarily, but something smells fishy....... and its not my cat's breath.... although he has been fed recently.... nor me as i've just showered ready to got out !

you are right, we don't have all the info here.. fishy for sure.. just think and observe dude and you'll have your answer in due time.

that you know of.. sounds to me like you're out then. may want to think long and hard about this.. i think you may have some decisions to make. personally, i think i'd be moving on at this juncture.
