That's why we have so much fraud in the UK.

Maybe Poland like to be a bit more thorough when dealing with foreigners - no big deal. Pitty its not like that in the UK, we would have less scum with bank accounts committing money crimes.

OH BUT IT SURE CAN FEEL LIKE SIBERIA IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER WHEN THE EAST WIND COMES PLAND'S WAY. -40C IS NOT UNHEARD OF AT TIMES

Two options:

1) stay in out of the cold
2) wrap up warm and enjoy the fresh air.

I was in the Czech Rep in 2006 when they had some of the worst weather on record - you can wrap up warm and walk briskly - trust me conditions were much nicer in comparison to constant rain in the UK.

Shouldnt this be true for the Brits living and working in Poland,should they too be able to speak fluent Polish??

Most English don't work in professions that requires them to have a high level proficiency of Polish (yet) - I'm sure that a vast majority of jobs (professional) do require Polish.

The point both myself and the other poster were making is that we both feel that excellent fluent English should be required to join the armed forces. It's not a slur on Polish people.

But he was allowed to enlist in the American Army in 1917..

One of my GGG uncles enlisted in that war - he forged documents - he was only 14 - I don't think they were too fussy in 1914 and war is so much more technical these day.

I think life has it's ups and downs and we hopefully learn by our mistakes. I think sometimes we get what we don't really want and sometimes we want what we can't have and sometimes we get what we need.

Thats a fantastic idea as long as they can speak perfect english, Firstly though it would make sense to get the feral lazy underclass of britain to join first and beat some self respect into them and get them contributing to the economy.

National Service or forced labour or we could gas them :)

Communication is of the upmost importance in the armed forces - lack of said communication can cause death! I'm actually amazed at the stupidity of that comment. It's quite aparent you've never actually worked in a job where people depend on good lines of communication to keep them alive!

In my personal opinion, I don't think that Poles should be able to join the British army, why the hell would they want to anyway? I wouldn't expect none British person to put their life on the line for my country - most people don't even want to do it for their own!

Is in the the Middle East - Southwestern Asia (Asia is quite a large place) - but would you refer to an Israeli as an asian?

Well...praising the immigrants in other countries and how great it is and a post later praying the same fate won't befell your own home country is surely one of the most hypocritical things I read here on PF!

But it's easy for a person who lives in a country where 99% of the population are indiginous...give him time, he will soon understand that mass 3rd world immigration isn't all it's cracked up to be :) But then again if he likes curry and looking at women in veils and his kids playing with these dollies :)

But when I was in UK, I saw asian ppl wearing western dresses...

Im sure you did, but quite a few wear the shalwar kameez - visit an asian area (asian ghettos) and you would be hard pushed to find someone with Westernised clothes.

Usually... some move to France... and guess where they go most :) ... U...KKKK :P... to your home :), to be family!

Yep, that will be after they gain some residency card in Poland - don't worry that will change.

I wouldn't say that, have you not noticed the number of Indians that are flocking to work and study - you are in the EU now :)

I have a lot of Polish and Romanian friends here shelly and they are hard working and pay their taxes and embrace the British way of life as well as keeping their own customs... Not all immigrants are our ememy. If it wasn't for the Indian's we would still be using Roman Numerals and would our mathematicians exceeded in science the way they did if it were not for the number '0' ? What faith would the majority of us have if it wasn't for the asians and europeans travelling miles to bring Christianity to the island. What about Einstein...need I say more.

I didn't say all immigration was wrong - I'm more than happy for Europeans to come to the UK.

Pitty a large proportion of Indians cant count - maybe they should take full advantage of their own inventions :) and we owe many things to many countries, Im fully aware of that - As for Asians bringing Christianity to England..how strange, I thought it was Joseph of Arimathea who was actually from Jerusalem, he was Jewish (what we would now call an Israeli but at that time it was classed soley as a nationality) so neither European or Asian. :)

I have learned to cook different dishes from my friends, in my own kitchen. Hands on experience is far better than a book; would you not agree.

Not really Pan, since Im a very good cook and like most I cook to my own taste so generally deviate from the a recipe, it's just a guide line :)

I know... they probably try hard and maintain the dresses (for a couple of generations) and the food (which we can adopt ourselves if its tasty)...
