You'll have a fantastic time.. Maybe you can try visiting Wieliczka Salt Mine or Bochnia (30 km from Krakow) and its Salt mine. The town is one of the oldest in the region. Maybe Auschwitz...may be a bit cold though....The jewish quarter Kazimierz has a lot of nice places to eat & drink. if you ski or snowboard make sure you go..there are a few places near Krakow. For new years you can visit Zakopane. Beautiful that time of year.

Riiiight.....The verbs are horrible. For every English verb there are two Polish ones, the tenses, all the conjugation....depends on gender in some tenses....and the consonantal mutations that occur on stems when adding the endings can boggle your mind :)

Did it ever occur to you that maybe it doesn't bother others as much as it does you? Why post this in a POLISH forum. Don't you think this would be more effective in a UK forum?

I've had this conversation with my gf in Pl and in her opinion, you aren't polish unless your're from poland. i told her that many people in the US refer to themselves as Irish, polish, italian...whatever even if they're just roots. It started when I told her that my step brother's father is Polish. She said oh he's from PL? I said no, but he's polish. She wanted to know how that can be if he was born in the US.

It was hard for her to understand how someone can claim to be Polish when they aren't from poland.

1,2 milions Poles has left Poland in last years. And do You know what the problem is? We!

Don't you ever take it into consideration that some of these people leave to earn a better education or a trade. Such tools are very useful to bring back th PL to help rebuild the country. Not everyone plans on staying in the UK forever.

It's not a question of who wants who. We just happen to meet and fall in love outside of a PL forum...you don't even know, so zip it. Maybe if you had a different attitude about life and stopped worrying about everyone else taking your native women, you'd be able to find your own woman.
