UK, Ireland / Have you moved from Poland to Britain? [9]

Sadly I can't help you; I'm a man who doesn't enjoy his life :)

More chances on some Polish-language forum. Or in your local pub/club frequented by Poles.

Food / Eggs - how do you like yours? Poached? Unfertilised? [60]

First I sauté (plenty of) onion until slightly brown, then add sliced mushrooms (if available), leave frying until they're ready, add 2-3 eggs, fry for a moment and voilá. Usually I end up with scrambled :)

Law / Can a student who is married get a Polish Citizenship [26]

Poland is just a backdoor into the UK now that we have introduced the new points based system and changed ILR rules for none EU students!

I just hope it won't become a common practice. I count on our citizens (although something tells me that I'm being naive) they'll not sell themselves to crooks who want just get hold on PL citizenship and p!ss off afterwards.

Language / Polish Neuter [7]

Adjectives and stuff:
Smaczne piwo, mocne piwo. To piwo.
Smaczne piwa, mocne piwa. Te piwa. < right

Numbers:
Jedno piwo, dwa piwa, trzy piwa, cztery piwa, pięć piw...
Is jedno the only one that's different?

'Jedno' goes with the basic form, 'dwa', 'trzy' 'cztery' with basic plural form, and the rest comes with dopełniacz form of your word in question. Even 12,985.556 (plenty of drinkin' and carousin', eh my heartie ?) would still go with 'piw'.

Dawaj piwo! Dawaj piwa! < endings endings endings - when will it ever end? I'm sure these ending must be wrong.

You're wrong. They're right.

Słoń będzie dawać piwo < it's got to be wrong because you can't tell whether the elephant is giving beer or if the beer is giving elephants... and to whom! Therefore there is one very confused goat at a keyboard typing this.

No. There's only a tusked bartender there (although we don't know who is thirsty here). No beer is going to dispense elephants this time.

Dwie butelki piwa

"Jestem piwem"?

Yes.
T(w)o beer or not t(w)o beer ?
Arrr, this be a question.

Ed:Does this Krzysztof ever sleep ?

Life / Deadly Roads - "Are polish roads really THAT dangerous?" [139]

Yeah, but I'm talking here about day-to-day driving.
I'm not going to stubbornly defend Polish drivers here, but I think that drivers from my place of origin (Opolszczyzna) aren't that bad. Though they still have problems with speed limits (esp. in rural areas, remember grannies of chaos !) and pedestrians. Street lights are generally well respected (no worse than here in Scotland IMN-S-HO).

Life / Deadly Roads - "Are polish roads really THAT dangerous?" [139]

Happened to me often in England, on my way to and from London. Practically never in Scotland. English drivers are not so holier-than-thou at all. Scots are much more polite, although some of my colleagues are reckless (one had even a year's suspension of his driver's licence).

Life / Do we have TV in Poland? [38]

Yeah. If we were to meet in the mid-way between Kraków and Glasgow it would be somewhere in Hamburg.

UK, Ireland / Poles Flee Ailing Irish Economy [18]

I'm afraid they're going out of the frying pan into the fire. The crisis starts to hit Poland as well. People slowly are losing their jobs.
