Work / How hard to just to get a regular job in Poland? [10]

You could probably teach English right away :)

No lie, they want English teachers there pretty bad I guess. Everytime someone asks this question "English Teacher" is top reply :)

Language / Question about Polish questions ^.^ [4]

Related: Question words in Polish?

I would just like to know the basic question words please...

-Who
-What
-When
-Where
-Why
-How

Please include accents also.

If that's not too much to ask. :)

No accents here, but some of them - kto, co, jaki - get declined therefore they change.

One bad experience....big deal. The German people are nice, you just have to go to the right places :)

Just like in Italy.....the southern half of the boot is very hostile and has a lot of mafia influence, while the northern part is very nice, and strictly Catholic in every sense :)

Do they even bother to learn how to spell or pronounce: 'Wroclaw'?

Why would they? Look at English spellings of other countries.

Poland- in English
Polska- in Polish
Polonia- in Latin

I wonder if German folks share your opinion?

If they don't then they are unfortunately retarded. Wroclaw is in Poland, not Germany :)

And what would you say to that, buddy?

I think you've been hit on by another man and are scarred by it :)

Also, if they don't want to be so open minded about it then who'se the better person? The one not having a problem with them or the ones having a problem with the person who has no problem with them? :)

This is instinctive of their biological nature

That has been screwed up by todays world. You have to admit that the stresses of life put a lot of pressure on you, and that can screw you up in many places. I agree that its in their DNA to like what they do, but the environment has a huge impact on it :)

Polish city of Wrocław is spelled Breslau in German

Hmm....I'm going to call "The Creative Assembly" company and tell them they made a mistake......anybody else have "Medieval: Total War II" ????

:)

Great game, and they actually have correct Polish last names :)

Hey guys, hows it been? :)

As for the homosexual rights thing....sure, let them be gay.....but listen to the bible. Men should not be able to marry men "under God" If God wanted to have homosexual marriages then he would have made Adam and John along with Eve and Janette.

I have no problem with the gay community, they are humans just like us, we all have different interests, but I don't think the chruch should ever allow them to marry. Just my thoughts, attack me if you must :)

Love / help on dating polish [13]

recently i noticed a young polish girl that looks my age (18) but every time for strange reason we look at each other and look away. is it we like each other or what?

Could be. Or she could think you might be stalking her. You never know really.

Just try to talk to her, get to know her, and see how it goes :)

Ask questions about her home town in Poland, we usually love talking about them, since there is no place like home. Keep a smile on your face the entire time she talks about it, and if she goes into detail about it, say you'd like to visit there some time because it sounds nice.

Tell her you'd always wanted to learn more about Poland, whether you want to or not, and ask about certain cities.

Czestochowa (chest-oh-cho-vah)
Krakow (Crock-ov)
Warsaw (as basic as it gets)
Gdansk (gd-onsk)

Stufy up on Poland, learn about famous Poles, and never be afraid to ask about her home and what she liked to do. We Poles seem to love to talk about the mountain springs and the great monuments in Poland :)

Hope I helped :)

Life / What makes you proud to be Polish? [150]

These are people who have only head Spanish and French, and never an eastern dialect. So they got a bit scared at first, and they realized I was speaking Polish, being the "Friendly Neighborhood Polak" as I am :)

Life / What makes you proud to be Polish? [150]

I'm proud of myself for being able to freak the hell out of anyone I know by speaking a different language :)

Of course, the Russian kids a=can understand me most of the time, so I have to stick to the mutts...... :)

USA, Canada / The Polish Constitution Day Parade in Chicago [17]

Thanks for the info. What is considered warm over there? How many degrees I mean.

Here in Erie it was 40 degrees F and i was out there playing soccer in shrots and a t-shirt, while my neighbors from South Carolina were in winter jackets :)

You'd think that the Cinco De Mayo celebrations would fill up the streets in Chicago. My mother lives in the suburbs and it's still a mad house with all the Mexican parades.

Depends on which part of the city you're on. Polish, Italian, or Latino :)

(Might be some others, but those are the major ones)

Real Estate / Received a property in Poland in a Will. Whats my best option? [13]

This money would allow me to easilly put a down payment on a home and be able to afford a monthly payment on a place I can own.

That depends.....how much you own???

Cuz we still have like 30 acres of land near Nowy Targ over in Poland, and we are waiting :)

USA, Canada / Shootings in America; over 30 people shot [52]

Yeh its sad i no but what can ya do

Take away hand guns. Make hunting rifles the only legal weapons. We have the technology to be able to put a tracer in a gun, so that it will only work when activcated, and the hunter should be registered, then the gun can be activated only during the hunting season, and this will be the only way that people will be able to use guns LEGALLY.

My cousin has a friend who actually helps the police by finding someone who sells illegal automatic rifles, and buys one, brings it to the cops, tells them where to find the guy, and he's been able to help them stash away over a hundred Uzis and other automatics.

Sadly gun crimes are a huge problem in the US, but the bright side is that only a very small percent of gun owners in the US actually use them for crimes.
