News / British food exports to Poland up 53% [43]

...And jellied eel with HP sauce.

Really? I can tell you now that most British people (with that I include, English, Irish, Scotish, Welsh and Cornish people) have never even tried this..

HP sauce is a different matter - bacon is not the same without it!

Love / Polish girlfriend and birth control! [62]

start using, stupidity could be hereditary

And the award for the best quote goes to Mr Mc :)

What on earth did these morons do before forums were invented!

Thank God that nobody has hit on the idea of a condom fitting room.

There must be some form of "fitting room" since they come in all sizes :)

Life / Lebanese willing to Move to Poland. [18]

Also British Universities ,as far as Im aware, are the best in the world .

That's really nice of you to say but you have to be careful, there are a lot of bad educational institutes out there (they call themselves universities but they are not), fortunately these are being more strictly regulated now - these places were set up with the sole intent of letting "foreign students" come to the UK on "student" visas. I would suggest he studies in Poland, he has family there and knows the country, England is becoming increasing more dangerous to live, and foreign students are easy targets for muggings and violent assaults :(

As for him working here, of course if he has a Polish passport, but with the looming recession, jobs of any description are in short supply, the part-time jobs students used to take are now being worked by other foreign guests in the UK :(

Love / English Husband, Polish Wife... Going out together/not together? [35]

Because wifey doesn't sound very Polish , more like someone who is trying to pretend to be Polish <from the way the post has been written>

Yeah, what would be the chances of your hubby giving you a site where he's been slaggin you off to the world and his wife!?

Love / do polish girls consider a english man a good catch ? [126]

Life / Indian moved to Poland [532]

Funnily enough I watched a documentary about China and there is a town in China that borders India I think it's call Ladakh (or Aksai Chin) and the cross over of cultures was so strange, so it is highly possible for someone to be Indian of Chinese origin.

Life / bed sheets in Poland...are them shorter ? [19]

/ Prześcieradło (a sheet put on the bed/matrass)
2/ Poduszka (a pillow usually in a sheet)
3/ Kołdra [or koc] (duvet/comforter [or blanket]) in something called "poszwa"

1/ Valance or flat sheet (cover the matress)
2/ pillow case (cover the pillow)
3/(optional) bed sheet (usually used in summer time in spain instead of a duvet)
4/ duvet cover (cover the duvet)

Same in any country I have visited...I think it's more about the length of the top bed sheet more than anything.

Life / Taxpayers subsidise priest's Alfa Romeo in Bielsko Biała [29]

Why is it women are not allowed to be priest again? Nun's sure but why aren't women allowed to say mass?

They are in the C of E no idea why not in RC, Franciscan friars are not allowed to give mass either - it's just the way it is.

I dont care how low a woman is, she should know it's completely and utterly wrong to enter into any kind of sexual relationship with a priest!

Alfa Romeo = fanny magnet

Nah, especially when some podgy bloke wearing a cassock is driving it! I can only imagine the kind of woman that would be attracted to that and she's amongst the lowest of the low, some women will do anything for money!

What about from the woman's perspective, the forbidden fruit and all :)

Whilst a woman who goes into a relationship with a married man is bad enough, one who desires a priest is sick in the head!

Life / Taxpayers subsidise priest's Alfa Romeo in Bielsko Biała [29]

That is an understatement.

Sean it's always been the case and always will be, at the back of my old junior school there was the "catholic club" next to my junior school was the church and friary - doesn't take a genius to work out where the priest and brothers walking through my school were going at lunch :)

Such a hard life, but it's just accepted and in all honesty I don't have a problem, they give up (in most cases) a lot, the right to have a family, children etc, so if my priest pops in the pub for a swift one, good for him!

I wonder what kind of a woman would date a priest, for me that's pretty low in fact lower than him driving a pretty standard lookin Alfa Romao.

My priest has a push bike, must be why he's single, oh no hang on a minute - he's a priest that's why he's single!

I don't quite understand why people act so shocked when they see a priest looking well fed either, they haven't taken a vocation to starve themselves and the Catholic church has always been pretty wealthy!

Genealogy / Average height of Polish women [107]

But 5' 8 is around average height for a man and tall for a women

5' 8 is short - not average, I'd say 5' 10 is average but still quite short IMO.

the question is about tall men or short women. The way i see it their equal.

At the end of the say some people like midgets and others like tall people.

Fair point, I guess I will have to rely on my charm and wit then...oh dear...

You're okay, you're a guy there are plenty of little women out there :)

Genealogy / Average height of Polish women [107]

Okay a woman of 5' 8 is not going to want a man of 5' 8 as a woman will wear heels bringing her to a height of 5' 11 - if a woman of 5' 2 wears heels a man of 5' 8 is still going to be taller than her....now do you understand :) Short women have an abundance of choice....... they should date the short arses and leave the tall men for tall women...instead of mixing their inferior short genes in with tall genes :)))))

News / BOOZE & CAR TAX TO AID POLAND'S NEEDY? [23]

As for the school lunch program, do any other european countries have this? Does it work well? Decent food?

In the UK low income or no income families get free school dinners, it works fine the supposedly needy sell their dinner tickets at half the price and they buy fags with the money :) are the dinners okay? if you like chips chips and more chips oh and a burger then it's fine, aparently school dinners have had an overhaul but I wouldn't say they are healthy by a long stretch, give a kid a choice between pizza and chips and cottage pie with carrots which one is a kid going to go for?

As for the slight tax increases, it's nothing and at least they have stated what the money is going to be spent on, more than can be said for the British Gov.

Let maybe ask so girls? Well, I feel sorry for you ;)

And I feel sorry - I wonder if people start singing "hiiiii hoooo" when he walks past :)

I am 168 cms tall.

:)

Some men like tall women, some like short women - wouldn't it be a dull world if we all liked the same - i just think short women should stay away from the tall men they have more to chose from :)

USA, Canada / US auto bailout [49]

Its cost something like $75.00 an hour per person on the payroll
the Japanese companies pay around $40.00

Ask yourself this, can you afford to take home half of what you earn? China is hardly a country to compare with when you consider that 60% of the population live under the poverty line, are you suggesting that Americans live in poverty?

China also has very little in the way of human rights, therefore it's easy to exploit the workforce, and this is not something we want to re-introduce into the West.

Last time they went to congress they flew in on their private lear jets to ask for taxpayers money.

Some people live in a different world and I suppose when you have built something up and have lived through the good times, it's hard to adjust :)

She's probably a bit annoyed at all the fancy English girlie boys trotting around London these days.

Well at least she should be grateful that there is one less girly boy trotting about in the UK!

Thats the third time youve made reference to the Boy in my screen name, you really have a problem with that dont you? Im more of a man than you could ever dream of having and get back to work, your boss is probably thirsty.

? Are you on drugs are just a wee bit sensitive about your age? Get a grip!!

what do you prefer boy or ginger ?

from now i m going to call you ginger again :)

UK, Ireland / Is is very hard to get a job as live in tutor for summer only in the UK? [9]

Hi, I hope I am in the right section, it is just an inquiry for now, as it is too early to post an advertisement (but should anybody be interested now, please pm me, of course:).
So my question: is there demand in UK for live in tutors or au pairs (or nanny in my case as I am 30 something), for a short term employment, I mean summer only. My logic tells me that it should be because children dont go to school at that time and somebody needs to occupy them. Am I right?

You are over the age limit for the Au Pair scheme but you could look on Gumtree for a nanny position but I would imagine that they would want more committment than just the summer.
