UK, Ireland / Here comes the Anti-Immigration marches.... [114]

someone who's still whining on about fictional problems that are none-existent for Irish people in the UK.

? It is fashionable to be Irish in London these days.
I am pointing out that you are just repeating history and you are a hypocrite.
So ShellyS, is your governments immigration policy Johnny Foreigner's fault?
Is the recession, Johnny Foreigner's fault?.

Unlike some on this forum that spout shite and then do a great big turn around!

What are you talking about?.

Fobbed off!

I read your reply the first time.

I apologize for misunderstanding. Perhaps you could elaborate on what it is that you are saying?

Sure, no problem.
I am saying that there is a problem with immigration in Britain.
That the Government need to make quite radical changes to the policy.
Immigrants are not the problem of Britain's immigration policy nor are they the reason for the recession.
Of course Immigrants cause huge problems but on these two particular issues, it is not their fault.
I am quite willing to discuss the recession and to look at the current policies but I am not willing to blame Johnny Foreigner, just because it is easy to do so.

It is of course a common case, when things go wrong people often blame the wrong people.
I hope I have made myself more clear.

Poor Sean, the English gave him a bad time boo hoo! btw it's fobbed off not fogged off :)

i love you baby too.

ShellyS, you must have a bad time of it there.

As for Pakistanis, they have not assimilated into British life

That sounds complete, Every Pakistani in Britain is doing this.

You are constantly playing the 'victim card' poor little ShellyS, wants all immigrants out.

You know as well as I do, you are just going through the motions, repeating the same mantras.

Is there a personal reason behind your hatred, I still wonder?.

P.S. I say fogged off.

not all Irish did

Not all foreigners do.
And like you are NOW saying, most people, yes even people from Pakistan and all over the world are hard working in your country.
They do not receive problems or create them, they are an integral part of Britain and get on with it.

playing the Irish victim card

The racist hatred you personally spew on this forum is not to be ignored or fogged off.
You are the type of people who give Johnny Foreigner a bad time, you ShellyS are part of the problem.
My point about Irish history in England is that it is repeating itself.
I have read things by you which have shown me you know what Irish people had to go through but you turn around and do the exact same thing, your double standards confuse me.

Do you know what I am talking about?
I will not talk down to you, you are smarter than that, I know.
I can't help but get the feeling there is something personal in your hatred.

ook at the Irish papers or talk to Irish friends, they've had enough too, my friends girlfriend is from Belfast, her family are sick of foreigners!

Like bird's of a feather the racist brigade flock together.

I remember you said on here "I am racist, so what?.

But if your primary concern is that nobody criticize immigrants for any reason, then a productive conversation is unlikely to take place.

That is exactly what I am not saying, thank you for completely miss understanding what I am saying.

It is YOUR government who must change your immigration policies.
But blaming Johnny Foreigner is shite talk, that is exactly what I am saying.

Recession is Not the fault of Johnny Foreigner and nor is Your government's immigration policy.
Or do you believe otherwise?.

UK, Ireland / Rise in race crimes linked to attacks on Poles [50]

What happened to you is a big deal and your attackers should have been punished.

It happens all the time, I don't think it is a big deal.

Why?.
It would have changed nothing.

I would prefer if the police were busy with other people, people who can't defend themselves.

I want justice for all, not specific groups.

My point is that this thread, is about groups.

reported it to the police.

I should probably explain myself more on this one.

My friends and I have been to he police over more serious fights, went to court and nothing.
That was for being glassed in the face.
You learn what sticks and what doesn't.

I read the papers trying to sell their stories, a Dub being glassed in Dublin = no sales.
Get a Pole or a black man and it becomes a hate crime = sales.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Are you all from sleepy little fishing villages?.
Most cities have their rough areas and violence.

(not that many expats visit the kind of s--holes where most of those Poles come from).

If you turn that on its head.
Poles live in the more dodgy areas because of the cheaper rent, meeting the kind of shitheads that come from the s--holes in Britian.
Just a thought.

UK, Ireland / Rise in race crimes linked to attacks on Poles [50]

The whole thread Rise in race crimes linked to attacks on Poles , is about race, like it or not.
And what about the millions of severe wounds inflicted by millions of people on others and not sensationalized by a group?.

As for the penal system, youz are havin a laugh, there are too many crimes for the penal system to hold.
Build more prisons but don't use our taxes and don't build them in my back garden!.

UK, Ireland / Rise in race crimes linked to attacks on Poles [50]

I was sliced open with a knife on the face, across the eyebrow.
1 centimetre higher and I would have a visible scare, one centimetre lower and I would have been blinded in my right eye.
A long story short about 12 lads surrounded me,
they were punching me in the head and then they suddenly all left,
I thought great!
Until the blood came pouring down my face.
I guess the adrenalin kicked in and I could not feel anything.
This was in Dublin, no foriegners involved, no write ups in the newspaper, no debates, no blaming certain races/groups, in fact nothing happened, I went to hospital and life carried on.

I suppose what I am trying to say is, youz talk some shite.

If I or my attackers were black or Polish, youz would make a big deal.

What changed since you started this thread?.

Here comes the Anti-Immigration marches....

This reminds me of the mob mentality and 'logic' behind the witch hunts.
Britain is in a recession, what happened? foreigners came here.
Foreigners weigh the same as ducks because they are made of wood, Burn the witches!.

thinks banks are the biggest bandits in the world

My father always said,
"The banks will give you an umbrella when it isn't raining and take it away when it is."

I know it is very frustrating to be undercut by foreigners when there is an economic crises but people need to wake the hell up.

While the BNP crowd rile the people into blaming Johnny Foreigner.
The real culprits get away scot free and a nice big bonus to boot.
Where did that 80, 000, 000, 000 dollars that went to the banks in America, go anyway?.

Food / Fermenting Ogórki? [8]

Has anybody seen this before? Anybody want to get drunk on gerkhins?

Yes
And
No.

They are fermented, they will not get you drunk.

Eat them, they are vacumed sealed hence the fizz but I do not know why they fizz but they do.

They might be very soar, so I recommend having them with cheese and bread, if you do not like very soar things.

UK, Ireland / Here comes the Anti-Immigration marches.... [114]

You know, youz used to be afraid that your country would turn Catholic with all the Irish.
The slogan used to be "HOME RULE IS ROME RULE!".

The 3rd Worlders who flood here are used to a standard of living that Brits haven't had to tolerate since before WW2. They lower the expectations of employers towards their employee's. Of landlords towards tennents.
They import illnesses that were eradicated decades ago. And they think we are inferior for our lack of belief in Allah.

Are you sure you are not plagiarising and just changing it from Catholic Irish to Muslim Pakistanis?.

Agreed.

No surprise there.

lifting the restrictions, and to be quite honest it was a bit of a farce, since they could enter as "self-employed" once again affecting skilled tradesmen - undercutting and undercutting has become way of life - 6 foreigners living together can afford this, an English man with a wife, 2 kids, mortgage and the rest of the outgoings, simply cannot!

You know as well as I do, that this was said about the Irish and all the other wonderful British people from far away lands.

I find your views rather disturbing. You're making it sound as though there isn't one "normal" person amongst them.

I also find the views rather disturbing.
They're making it sound as though there isn't one "normal" person amongst You.

I know a lot of good people on here, refrain from posting arguments on such threads, just thought I would say it so not to be alluded to the fact that many people do not have Nazi minds.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

A tougher immigration policy is needed in Britain but you ought not to blame 'THEM' but look to your own leaders.
I even see people blaming and pointing the finger at 'THEM' for the credit crunch, Jeezz always a scape goat for the brainless.

i work with some poles n they are quite nice but i say send em all home. thats the answer to all the problems with our economic crisis.

Just one thing, the economic crisis was not caused by Polish people.
Why not blame the right people instead?.

Real Estate / Construction (Poland Vrs where you are from) [66]

I like the way so many streets in Poland seem to have houses, every one of which is different.

I think every single person who has come to visit me from 'the old country' Ireland, has made this observation and the consensus is that it is nicer to have individual houses rather than millions of houses the exact same in row after row of estates.

Which is all very well and good, considering what people are used to.
The only thing is it is cheaper and more efficient to build estates and for the developer to finish the apartment off i.e. the developer can buy 1000 toilets in bulk for cheaper than the buyer can buy one.

But it is a thing that all of the ex-communist countries have in common, the grey shell apartment, which you need to finish yourself.
I have heard a few theories on this one, all rubbish but the one I like the most is that during communism, everyone got the same, so now people can express their individuality. Load of rubbish, of course as we all go to the same shops, just some of us have better taste than others.

pull-cord operated rather than plastic switch.

I did not understand the reference to a plastic switch.
I personally do not mind a pull cord switch, maybe it is just the novelty that I have not seen them in so long.

Real Estate / Construction (Poland Vrs where you are from) [66]

Somebody asked me about insulating houses here.

So a lot of people use 10-15 centimetres of Styrofoam, glued to the brick and pinned with a plastic mushroom thing.
Then mesh and a few skims over the Styrofoam. (skims may have colour in them to avoid painting later).
When finished and you knock the outside of a building it gives a hollow sound.

History / Any apologies about Sikorski's 'murder'? [95]

if UK ever discloses the documents regarding the case.

Yeah? what happened there?.

I have heard this story many times about Sikorski being assassinated in the helicopter in Gibraltar.
Then these documents were meant to be released by Britain after fifty years but they weren't, why not?.

That basically sums up my conversations on this topic.
I have never looked into it until right now.

Thank God I left that crap behind. They're probably still doing that every Friday

Geeezz, sounds terrible, where was this, exactly?.

We can all find nobs in every country and racist stereo types but there are others also in each country, wouldn't you agree?.

so are you saying im stupid and that i cant simply read a adults paper? just because you probably couldnt at my age, is no reason to suggest that i cant read it. i have a higher iq than you anyday!

From this comment and many like it, I can't help but think that this poster is a very young girl.
Which makes me think that it is her father/brothers who put these hateful thoughts into her undeveloped egg shell brain.
We all know children are sponges and soak up everything around them.
it saddens me that such a useful talent, soaking up, is wasted on such nasty things.
And she possibly even believes that all the things she writes are good and true and for the first time.
that her disillusioned father/brothers hate is justified, without her even thinking about it.
Some may argue, she came on here to find out but look again at her name, her mind has been preprogrammed, these are not ideas or opinions, merely regurgitation of a repeated phrase.

Sickening really but I have no proof that if I were born in her tiny shoes, that I would not do the exact same, on the contrary it seems we all would.

I am saying all this for the parents and parents to be, to say that I was given the tools to make decisions for myself and to see a future wothout hate, if I hadn't I would be exactly like this narrow minded little girl (in some ways).

Just something I wanted to mention/

I'm pissed off supporting layabouts to be honest, irrespective of what country they come from.

Actually i have a question about British Immigration policy.
Since 2004 when the new E.U. countries were legally allowed to work in your country, a right given to them by your government.
Have the restrictions on other non-E.U. immigration become stricter?.
I would assume they have but you can never assume anything when it is governmental.

Love / I fell in lust with a Polish guy...I'm Married! [26]

sorry But when I said " When we Are together the Chemistry is Crazy!"

Ah well in that case, what are you waiting for?.
I am sure your husband won't mind in that case.
You should have said there was chemistry involved from the beginning, then it is completely OK to be a dick tease, running after the first man who shows the slightest interest in you.

Okay I want an Apology in (English) from you that thought otherwise! (Smile) (kidding)

My thoughts on the matter have not changed, why would they?.
I still think you are a slag, who treats her husband like a buffoon.
Coming on here and blatantly asking us what you should do, while laughing at your husband.

You do parading yourself around like a charlatan.
