UK, Ireland / Sad life of a Polish migrant in the UK. Ch. 4 - Language [66]

yeah right, you would be on your own, fending for yourself on the streets, it would force you to come home. Just because we welcome them with open arms, dosen't mean its the same when you turn it around, Poland does not have enough to look after its own let alone its foreign visitors/guests.

mayby in the uk we should speak polish incase we offend the polish minority =]

well we do everything else for every other nation!!!! We bend over backwards to make people feel welcome and most of them throw it straight back in our faces by complaining/moaning/crime etc etc!!!!!

We were even thinking of foreign law in the UK at one point!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT???? 'when in Rome.....................'

Love / How do Polish men treat their women ? [45]

I suppose there are blokes who beat their wives/girlfriends/partners all over the world, i don't think it is just a cultural thing, its in the make up of the man (individual man)

Love / How do u know if a polish man likes u? [37]

Or his wife will find out and that will be the end of him..

what happens to cheating Polish husbands?? how do the Polish ladies deal with them?? can't be as bad as the Serbs or Afghans!!! Those ladies cut you from chest to pelvis and let you bleed out, nice :)

I'm guessing Polish girls guiltify you to death, you get so fed up of them moaning that you decide to throw yourself off a bridge into a on coming train.

Love / Why do Polish Women Think They Know Better? [134]

oh god chill out, why do you take everything i say so seriously and apologise and explain yourself?

i apologise when i am wrong, what is wrong with that, i think plenty could take a leaf out of that particular book

so serious, so serious :) your kidding right, its people who often misunderstand my jokes/humour

As for explaining myself, again i don't see why there is such a problem with that???

Love / Why do Polish Women Think They Know Better? [134]

It is not just Polish women, its all women, let them get on with it and think they know better. That is tht trick with women, always let them think their in control when all they are doing is holding a steering wheel connecting to nothing :)

History / Polish contribution to England during war [60]

History / Why are we called Poles instead of Polans? [29]

If we called you Polans, you would ask "why are we called Polans"?
Holland rhymes with Poland, why aren't they called "Holes" or "Holish"?
And so on...

your speaking a lot of sense, i always like your posts Krysia, marry me :) lol

UK, Ireland / What is good about being in the UK? [140]

To be honest there is nothing really special about living or being from the UK, this is my home and probably (unless duty calls) will be for the large percentage of my life. I love the UK but the strange thing is i cannot tell you why, i guess its just the everyday things i have and can do here that i cannot when i've visited other countries that are not so lucky as my country.

Life / Poles that have lived or live abroad are they different? [68]

Super comment by Torny :) :) I really think he has a point with this to a certain extent. Sexual would be very low on my list of words associated with Polish women.

Those that went abroad may well be a different story.

i was making a serious point in a jokey sort of way, i think it has a lot to do with culture, i mean for a start the average age a person in the UK to lose their virginity is a lot lower than in Poland.

Tornado you surprise me with that comment, cant say i back it, but if there is an elemant of truth in that id assume Poles after living in the UK assume its OK to Fcuk around as the Brits do it all the time.

I would say there is a bit of that yes, i've seen one particular girl (don't see her anymore or even talk to her) change while in England. She arrived as a virgin, hoping to wait for the right person, etc etc and after 2 years had turned into someody who had one night stands on a regular basis. She even took to having multiple partners at the same time, so more like the slags you might see out and about on a saturday night :). So yes, i think your point is more than valid, in a way it is ashame people lose their values but i guess thats life.

Food / Where is the best place to eat pierogi in Poland? [24]

of course that is what he means, he just put it in a slightly different way, some Americans obviously feel uncomfortable when they are taken outside their vocab comfort zone. Relax, let the term sink in and then breathe out slowly, you will then feel warmth of expansion :)

USA, Canada / Sweetest Day - October 18 - 19 [36]

True! That's the biggest complaint. Why show your love for one day? Should be everyday.

exactly, if you ask me Valentine's day is a con, so that the businesses can make even more money from the consumer who is worried that if he does not buy his girlfriend/partner/wife anything or take her out, thats it!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT FAIR

You should be showing your love/affection/feelings towards your partner on many occassions in a year, simples :)

USA, Canada / Sweetest Day - October 18 - 19 [36]

to me it looks a little like Valentines Day, with friends invited, to be honest i've always seen Valentines day as a bit of a rip off. I mean really, if you love somebody then you should show them on more than one occassion a year?? yes/no, to me it seems like its just a way for businesses to make money of the back of ove/lust etc etc.
