USA, Canada / VISA TRAVEL TO USA [32]

Your friend can try, but unless your friend has something to guarantee that he or she will return to Poland, like a family, a job the chances are slim. It never hurts to try, but you have to pay each time.

Feedback / Today's Polish Name Day - New Feature [41]

You have 5 days which you can chose as your names day, (in which I won't give out the exact dates in fear of losing your secret identity and then being stalked).

I did a search and found the nameday calender but I`m not on it?

if you're looking under "sledz", you'll never find it because nobody names their kids "sledz" anymore :)

Feedback / Today's Polish Name Day - New Feature [41]

Renat

I was wondering about that one too...hmmmmmm

(which everybody knows anyway cuz the kids talk a lot)

That's why you tell your kids you're 20 because they think it's old enough.

Love / friendhship with polish girl [63]

Unconditional love is giving something for nothing. This girl was poor -- well, you gave to the poor. So stop wanting something back.

True, but you want to feel appreciated for what you did not taken for granted, and wanting more and using you. The person receiving such help should be grateful for it, in this case she wasn't and took advantage of the situation, which hurts.

Love / Why my Polish girlfriend's mother started to ignore me? [74]

Or like Wroclaw said, she's afraid of losing her daughter. She's at a clinic and worried sick, now you come along to take her away.

So, maybe that's it. Just give it time so she realizes that you make her happy.

USA, Canada / Looking for a place called home; staying in the US [21]

You can apply for a student visa to come study in the US, otherwise if you're on a tourist visa, there's not much you can do, unless you overstay your visa and upon return to poland, you won't get a visa for 10 years after that cute little stunt.

Love / Illegal Polish girl wants me to marry her for citizenship [124]

I thought it takes only few months...

you're right. It takes a few months to get it. But there were probably other factors preventing him from getting it like overstaying his visa the first time and getting another one. It's all recorded.

Travel / 1st time visitor's opinion on Poland (funny clip) [28]

i strongly disagree

I was just kidding!
I worked with this half-woman half-man thing. Obnoxious as can be. Short, fat and ugly. But it wasn't the looks that we couldn't stand, it was her obnoxious flthy ugly little mouth and the b.o. that did it.

Language / Polish language for Children [13]

"A child taught a second language after the age of 10 or so is unlikely ever to speak it like a native."

News / Weak US dollar in Poland and other countries... [180]

but Americans still can afford a new car every 5 years, new computers (PC and laptop) every 2 year, changing oil every 3000 miles.

Ooops...not every American. My car is 10 years old, I better hurry and get a new one. I change oil very 3000 miles coz it's better for the engine and it's cheap.

But Poland will become one of the strongest countries in Europe. In 2012 Poland and Ukraine will host the Soccer Tournaments. They are building like crazy new roads, new hotels, etc. in preperation for the event. And who will be working in Poland? The Chinese. All the Poles left to England.

And the Polish zloty will become stronger, the pays will be higher because of belonging to the EU.

Language / Polish language for Children [13]

happychild.org.uk/freeway/polish/vocab/animalsoverview.htm
worldlanguage.com/Products/Polish/Kids/Page1.htm a few ideas.

Here's a few ideas.
I spoke only Polish to my children when they were born and still do , but when they went to kindergarten they prefer to speak english. But my mom and Polish friends pretend they don't understand so they have to speak Polish. It's best to teach them at an early age so they can pronounce the sz, cz, ż sounds.
