Life / "I can spot a Pole a mile away" - Polish fashion? [146]

are you so stupid as to think they will use it to prosectue someone on an internet forum

I believe they could - common law? I am not a solicitor so I don't know.

being so revolting as to joke about a rape/murder victim

Speaks volumes about him.

I wonder what the Polish newspapers would write about this forum, if they read page two of this thread.

They would probably first of all demand an apology for allowing this, then demand noimaginations I.P.address then charge him.

we need to find a thread to discuss Scots Law

The title could be "Inciting Racial Hatred". We could then review noimaginations posts and then decide whether he has committed a crime under Scots Law.

Any links ?
Could post a query on the Societys forum.

He claims to be a student in Glasgow studying Scots Law. I find this hard to believe as inciting racial hatred, as he has been doing is illegal in Scotland. Having a criminal record would mean he could not practice law in Scotland. Very foolish.

A report written by the Scottish Office economist Gavin McCrone for ministers[16] in the mid-1970s indicated that with ownership of North Sea oil, an independent Scotland would have "embarrassingly large tax surpluses"[17], that the economy of an independent Scotland, with control over the majority of UK North Sea oil revenue would have the one of the "hardest" currencies in Europe and that "for the first time since the Act Of Union was passed, it can now be credibly argued that Scotland's economic advantage lies in its repeal

UK, Ireland / The Changing Face of Scotland - we need more immigrants! [178]

What do u hope to be upon graduation?

A toilet cleaner ( its one of his fixations ) since hes probably going to charged with incitement to racial hatred or something and so will be prevented from working in law.

Anyway, whats wrong with manual labour ?

I am a law student

I bet you take all kinds of british benefits.

I am subsidising your education at the moment and frankly I am disappointed.

scots law is unique so my job is safe

Not if you hold racists views. Isn't there new laws about racism in Scotland ?

You could maybe ask your Polish friends to translate this

Mam nadzieję, że informacje te będą pomocne i że Państwo zdecydują się na przyjazd do nas, do Szkocji. Gwarantuję Państwu ciepłe przyjęcie.

UK, Ireland / We welcome Polish people to Britain! [224]

I had a mate who was complaining about this, he had been on the dole for 6 months and hadn't seen any jobs he wanted.

Two days later a Polish friend returned to Scotland. They arrived in the morning and by the afternoon they had a full time job in Tescos and a part time one in B&Q at the weekend.

Edit - the quote didnt look right!

after all, the Euro countries should be able to purchase plenty!

Unfortunately for the US they are likely to be buying these from China.

Americans are facing another recession in my opinion

I share that view too and you are right, other countries will be dragged into recession too.

Posted Dec 2006 - when Gold was $600 per troy ounce,

So go short on cash and long on Gold.

today $814 per troy ounce.
Still think its going to climb some more. A lot of people are going to pull out of currency and get into metals due to the actions of OPEC countries steering clear of the USD.

now want to try and find places inbetween

If this is happening in the summer there are loads of festivals and one off events. Further North you could get smaller venues, you would be lucky to get enough cash to cover the petrol but the crack would be good.

UK, Ireland / Polish Nights in the UK [29]

There used to be a regular club in Edinburgh " Polished". Haven't heard of it for a while now, here is an exert from 2006 - "Lloyd McDermott, company manager with The Venue, said the Polished night was proving a big success. He said:

"The music is a mix of contemporary dance upstairs and more traditional stuff downstairs. It's going well and has proved great for us as they pack in 400 people on a Sunday night."

They still have Polish bands and DJs at the venue, might be worth giving them a call.
