Life / Germans and Poles - Fiction or Myth? [127]

I have no problems with what I am, thank you.
It's only your sick, little mind which wants me to feel bad about being German!
It's not me invading any thread and starting to whine about these bad Germans here and these mean Germans there...
You have a mighty complex but go with it elsewhere, it get's boring!

First of all, try to write correct English. Secondly, this is a thread about Germany, at least partly and I'm not the only one who gives out about Germany, actually I thought I was rather mild in this thread. Thirdly, I don't care about you or your easily hurt feelings. If you are getting upset by what is written on an online forum, then there is something else wrong with you and maybe you should seek some help. Fourthly, you do not even recognize sarcasm when you stumble over it, do you now? I do not give a gobsh*te about Germany and should I do, it's all in your mind. Finally, at least I participate and write other stuff as well than solely about Germany, don't think you or Germany is so important to me that I have to write about it all the time. I have over 900 posts and unlike your posts only a fraction of this number is dedicated to Germany and one little frustrated Bratwurst, Sauerkraut und Essig boy. Now, I do not wish to make myself any clearer than this, so take your complexes and put them where the sun doesn't shine.

I have an issue with you....normally the Dutch are to insignificant to concern myself with. I mean what else than spitting comes from them actually....

It's not my fault that you are what you are. Ah well, only 80 percent of your vegetables and dairy products come from the Netherlands, let alone nearly all the flowers you can buy.

Naw lets blame everyone else but us :-)

If you want to :) But to be serious, Germany has apologized long enough for the known facts and has shown to be willing to learn. As far as I'm concerned it is not an issue anymore, but it kind of irritates me that ppl like Bratwurst und Sauerkraut try to glorify something that can be recalled as the biggest blunder in human history, that's all. Like I said so many times before, some of my best friends are German :)

Who is talking about "Hoch lebe Deutschland"?

You are and you're doing it constantly. You must have some issues with the Dutch yourself. Did you get dumped by a Dutch girl? Aww, you poor thing. There are 16,399,999 more Dutch ppl out there. Small correction: the most enthousiastic soldiers in the Waffen SS were the Ukranians and the Lithuanians. They had also the biggest contingent with their ranks.

Life / Germans and Poles - Fiction or Myth? [127]

Of course there were ppl in support of the 1000 year Drittes Reich (1933 - 1945) in Holland. Just like there were in Belgium, France, A lot of Eastern European countries, Skandinavia and Greece. But the majority did not like being invaded by some other country with a psychopath in power. But with other ppl the Führer didn't like I was of course referring to the Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, Mentally Retarded, Political Opponents, Critical Journalists. Basically anything that ended up in a striped overall with a yellow, pink, red, blue or green star on the chest.

Bratwurst: don't put the blame on other countries by turning it that way that the traitors ever country has are worse than the Germans: it was Nazi-Germany who was responsible for WW2 and indeed it were the Big Bad Germans who invaded loads of countries without there being an essential need to, just the hunger to posess the World. This qualifies Nazi-Germany as the main villain in this drama. Let's stick to the facts and not blame other countries for that.

M-G (is getting a bit tired of this Hoch Lebe Deutschland cr*p and justifying crimes of the past by the behaviour of the victims of that very crimes)

I have friends from Holland and they don't think so.

What part of "at least not by me" didn't you understand?

Dutch are more gay than Gerries, so shut up.

ah, our gay-basher!

M-G (is not impressed by flaming)

Every German Holiday they flood our bordertowns looking to buy coffee and cigarettes, occupying all the sidewalks so nobody can pass and expecting to talk German to them in your own country without even asking if you speak German first.

News / EU a beacon of light for the World to follow [85]

The whole history is more complex, agreed, but one has to put it in simple terms here, and it IS due to the funding from the EU that Ireland got well again, on their own they would never have made it. They did good with it, agreed, but the explosion of economic activity is too much based on foreign companies - there is no structural middle class of industry or hardly noticeable.

This thread is for serious descussions regarding the above topic.

I'll just quote you:

And what they contain, Devil, women etc.. Make believe....

W-B ( M-G is full of managerial shite)

Ahh you are the Devil then some little **** who everybody loves to hate. And of course over 50.

M-G (I thought you were a **** went you first posted and my opinion has only galvanised in the meantime)

Now pls revert yourself to more suitable activities for you like throwing stones at your neighbour's kids or ask your mommy for a lollipop or go to the social welfare office to enquire about why they stopped your benefits.

Cute, I'm not over 50 and not even over 40.

Well stick to your company and your work then dude, you stated that you won employee of the month recently. I find that extremely hard to believe considering that you joined this forum on 06/02/2008 and you already have 890 posts.

I can type up to 200 wpm, I think quick and don't need much time for a reply. I like to multi task and can do loads of things at the same time. I'm simply good at what I do. I work about 10-11 hours a day; how about you? Is your unemployment benefit sufficient to afford a computer and Inet?

News / EU a beacon of light for the World to follow [85]

Ireland joined the EU in 01/01/1973.

I know that, pls read well.

You do not know anything about Irish society, I have been living here for 4 years and I actually have been following the developments.
I have been building and running CallCentres since the time you hadn't even heard of them; I don't pretend to know, I KNOW, that is a difference between you and me. It's my job to know. The company I work for does not have to move as they are already everywhere in the world :)

And now, pls don't mingle if you do not have anything special to add to the discussion. Thank you.

Ireland (and currently the countries which joined in 2004 are doing the same) has thrived very well on their membership of the EU. It has received and still receives a lot. However, since they now are the richest country in the EU, they are bound to repay some of their debts back to the EU, I believe it was 2 or 3 billion, in 2012. Together with the declining economy and the huge failiure of the government to build a solid infrastructure and conglomerate of durable businesses (the only stable industry in this country is the building industry - the other business that thrives here is the CallCenter business; no business evaporates more quickly than this one) and thus implementing a stable basis for the country in order to survive the upcoming economic crisis, this country will go back to a near status as they were at, say 1985. This, PLUS the fact that the Celtic Tiger was basically nothing more than an arteficial stimulus to get companies over here by exempting corporations of corporate tax (the implementation of the Euro helped as well - this is actually the biggest handicap of the UK compared with Ireland) for the first 10, 15 years. You already can see that big corporations are leaving Ireland for India and Bulgaria, the latter being tipped as the new Ireland of the EU, while the former proved to be a mistake by the companies in their quest to save a buck: especially English customers are complaining and leaving companies because they don't want to speak to an Indian person. And guess which corporations? Xerox, IBM, Oracle; correct, the ones who have to start paying corporate tax this or next year. On the other hand, an acqaintance of mine once build a CallCenter for a Canadian company with solely NorthAmerican and a handful of UK customers. The UK customers were the reason the just HAD to have HQ in Dublin. See what I mean? The future basically lies in Bulgaria or China. But then again, the world will end in 2012, so why worry.

Ireland was considered the poorest state of Western Europe until 1973, when they joined the EU. This was mainly due to deValera's policy of putting the farmer's family as ideal for Irish society and refusing to modernize. It was thanks to the EU that they managed to catch up with the rest of Western Europe.

News / Organized Crime: Polish Gang Is Making Profitable Business Of Robberies [60]

Since this sometimes seems to be an American, Canadian, British or Irish forum, I would like to attention to the fact that there are lots of Polish ppl living in other countries as well. And also as this forum sometimes seems to glorify everything Polish, your opinions on the following:

telegraaf.nl/binnenland/3598573/_Poolse_bendes_ingevlogen__.html?p=7,1

Unfortunately it's in Dutch, so I will give a quick translation of the contents:

It seems that there are Polish gangs active who actually fly in burglars and thieves via Belgium (Chaleroi Airport and there they hire a car) into Holland. There they burgle shops, factories, houses and so on. The loot is then shipped through couriers back to Poland, where it undoubtly is sold for high prices. After their job is done, they travel back the same way as they came. This business is so profitable that the revenue can amount up to 10,000 Euro a day. The estimated profit yearly is about 220 million Euro. This is based on confessions made by arrested members of the gangs. Recently a woman who was travelling by touringcar from Holland to Poland, was arrested with in her suitcase cosmetics wort 13,000 Euros. She most likely was hired by the gang as a courier.

Does this happen in the US, Canada and the UK too? Or is this just because Holland is a continental country, hence it's much easier to get the stuff out?

Your opinion, pls.

Love / Does she like me? - help needed please from any Polish girls.. [79]

Sometimes girls are like that, SheWolf; although I would not call it naive, I would call it playing games. Of course she knew he had feelings for her. All women know when a man has feelings for her. To get so close and yet have no feelings for him is either cruel or she's simply just after a free meal or free drinks or needs to see her emotional needs fulfilled which she cannot get with her boyfriend. Like I said in a previous post, it is simply not possible to be friends with a girl you have feelings for. She will exploit you emotionally, maybe without even knowing it. You'll give her all the benefits and she does not have to give anything in return. That's simply not fair, but hey, if you want it that way: just go for it and find out for yourself when she has a new boyfriend. My best bet would be that it would not be you.

My advice is that if you really love her, you shouldn't just walk away. Love doesn't just go away. It stays and endures. Keep being the amazing person you are with her. You never know what will happen in the future.

Walking away does not mean staying away. Cut all ties with her for a while and see what happens. Distance can be good for you: it gives her space and time to think and gives you the opportunity to recover from the blow she has given to you. If she really has any feelings for you, she should pop over in her own sweet time (even if she mumbles something like the "friends" thing), if she doesn't come back, she was never that into you in the first place.

M-G (knows the theory sounds good and easy, but to actually do it, is a different story)

Love / what is reasonable - he does not want me to go back to poland [55]

What is it with those Poles that they just can't say "no" or "no, I don't love you"? Why are they always so bloody polite? I dated a few Polish girlies in the past and all of them, literally all of them, never had the gut to tell me that they did not want to see me anymore. Instead they just stopped answering the phone or stopped replying to texts. I have no problem with ppl telling me no directly, but I do have a problem with not answering the phone or not replying to texts, because that is just childish behaviour and very frustrating. If you don't want to see someone anymore, just TELL it to him or her, at least that's what I would do and usually do. It may be hard, but at least it's fair and mature.

M-G

Edit: not answering anymore can also lead to confusion: does he/she has no credit anymore? Is he/she busy? As a consequence you send another text or call him/her a few days later with the risk that he/she is starting to see you as a pest hence giving you a bad name, which would have been avoided if he/she just would've said no.

Love / Does she like me? - help needed please from any Polish girls.. [79]

and who needs more friends lol

If a woman I'm interested in says to me "let's just be friends" I basically tell her that, yeah. And I actually mean it as well. Thing is, it's just not possible (at least not for me) to be friends with a woman I adore. Hear all the freakin' and excruciating details on how she went on a date with some other dude? No way. Bottom line is: she rejected your feelings. And things will never be the same anymore. Better to move on to someone who doesn't reject your feelings. And think about it from her perspective: she gets from you all her emotional needs fulfilled like pouring her heart out about what jerks men are and free meals and everything...well you know what I mean, without having to kiss you or sleep with you. Short: she gets all the benefits from you she wants from a man without having to sleep with you. And after all your previous efforts she just rejected you? When somebody (not specifically women, for that matter) starts talking to me about being friends, I kind of automatically start thinking what added value this girl or guy could have to my life? Does he have useful connections? Does he/she have a skill that I don't have? Most of the girls for whom I had feelings and who wanted to be just friends with me, could not add anything to my life. So I just said goodbye. It may sound hard, but it's just to protect yourself. I have a little black book full of phone numbers with acqaintances (I'd rather not call them friends) who could be of some use somewhere, someday. I have only six real friends, friends who have known me all my life and I consider like brothers. Think about it. Why would you waste time to comfort somebody who rejected your feelings? Why would you do that?

M-G (life is tough, you have to protect yourself, dude)
