Law / I need to get my girlfriend back home from Poland - need legal advice [34]

our goverment sucks! why are they so srtict on polish people! they never bombed anyone!!!!

thats not the point, there are other countries ( illegals) who ruin it for the whole
crowd.. and its understandable if they want to stay.. but it also takes two govts
not just one..

when you have illegals running around Killing people in school yards ( innocent people)
its time to buckle down.. unfortunately thats the way it has to be.

nothing against Polish or any other nation

Genealogy / Surname Info Request:Napierkowski [9]

I dont know much about the name meanings, but I do know that part of
my research with my family finds that name to be related to names of my family

the two spellings I use are Napiorkowski and Napierkowski..
one individual of my possible family from Nowogrod who went to
New Jersey and Mass.. says Napiorkowski is a brother in law.

What towns are you researching besides Napiorac?
where did they settle in the U.S.?

Genealogy / Is my family surname (Reslofsky) Polish? [18]

Practically no one knows how to pronounce it correctly.

ha ha.. mine either.. but I used to spell it like the alphabet and then people would
catch on... :)

you are right Patrycja19, As with any investigation, it is sometimes the most insignificant detail that leads to solving a mystery.

agree..

follow the trail of papers :)

Real Estate / Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land! [823]

obviously dont have their government working on their behalf.

does any govt work on its peoples behalf ??

The weasels in America who borrowed too much are finally getting their behinds burned, the housing meltdown is here, no money to borrow, no buyers and the fool speculators are losing money as values decrease/ No more easy gains, the party is over.

A **great** thing in my opinion.

dude, you cannot be from America.. you live here, but you cant be American
with a attitude like that.. if you are.. thats pretty sad.

that means the future of your children is over.. yeah.. your kids party is over..
so lets just announce how happy we are on a forum..

News / Poland biggest problem [125]

Let's hope Poland never has a hurricane Katrina, because the way that was handled was a shining example of how not to run a country

apologies to American friends on PF, nothing personal

None taken daisy, I tend to agree with that because there was to many things
wrong before hurricane katrina happened.. and no one listened.

during hurricane katrina.. while the mayor of the city graciously let thousands
low income people sit it out in the superdome , all those wonderful buses could
have taken a large number of them further in land to safer places.. non of that
would had to have happened.

he should have had the national guard there prior to the storm hitting
and evacuated them days before..

so this is a huge lesson on not what to do.. or next time do it right.

alot of people are still homeless though because of the levy, flooding and they
( insurance companies) wont pay for it..

Plus, they had someone in charge of Fema WHo didnt know his arse from a hole
in the ground..

I think many other Americans would agree with you daisy.

Genealogy / Has Anyone Got Any LDS microfilms Experience? [24]

I also have a question regarding microfilms from the LDS:

koach, when you order them, it has to be at the local LDS , you have to pay for them
up front, no matter what they will get to the library in about two weeks or so depending on the mail.

you can pay more to make them permanent or for I think its a month then they go
back..

Genealogy / how many know their own family histories? [139]

Genealogy is a great hobby, except you lose your census!

thats a good one :)

the FHC where i go theres a picture of guy sitting at a computer with roots growing
off his feet :) LOL

I really wish I could find my family and talk to my family I was never allowed to know...

theres always a chance.. but we need to dig further in the past.
I am sure theres a few on here willing to help.

.....I think my family must of had some horriable things happen since they burned pictures and sold belongings =(......

I hope this isnt the case.
