ggrrr ,yep bubba,Ive sat back too long now It just had to burst forth. But I suppose I will have some strawberry picker calling me polonophobic or some tit who thinks they are the brains of europe laughing at the fact my spelling isnt 100% . I could give a monkeys though, Im dyslexic and proud and sick to death of people who have not one clue what they are talking about insulting people . Yes there are tossers who come on here to insult Poles,and a fair few dole dodgers that probably find it conveniant to jump on a bandwagon of blaming everyone but themselves for thier situation(something I would have thought Poles would have a natural empathy towards) but there are plenty of areas in this country that really are getting knocked for six by parasitical types only here for money,and that includes both the new workers who clearly have little respect for the country providing them with employment and the toss pot employers who spout all that crap about "Poles being natural hard workers" ,when they mean ,CHEAP labour.

The arrogence of some of you people is unbelivievable. All you do is moan about lack of work in Poland which obviously couldnt possibly be Polands fault,but as soon as someone from the country over a million of you have come too tells you about his situation the arrogence and posturing kicks in. How do any of you know what the situation is like where he lives? He may live in an area like mine where untill very recently there was high unemployment due to thatcher that has suddenly welcomed tens of thousands of people willing to work for peanuts in crappy conditions. If you were an employer looking to save money who would you employ,the local who knows his rights and expects a decent wage or someone just off the boat who will work all hours for little pay?

He may be a warehouse man or such and if thats the case he probably is getting turned down in favour of immigrent labour . God I cant wait till some of you get home and find all the jobs in Poland you want taken by Ukrainians or Belrussians the sapogi will be on the other foot then.

ok,here goes; On 1st of september Poland was invaded by nazi germany,on the 3rd Britain declared war on germany..........here endeth the lesson.

(exactly how much of western history were you taught? coz Ive sat with MA graduates through a film,"They died with their boots on" about custers last stand,everyone of them wanted to know what happened at the end and hoped custer and his dashing cavelry would escape the redskins. it works both ways. When you are the country that shaped the modern world through the industrial revolution and the invention of damm near everything (apart from polonium) used to this day,railways,motor cars,telephones etc etc adnauseum you do tend to find your history lessons a little too packed to also fit in a thouragh history of ,at the time I was at school,an enemy country behind the iron curtain.

Real Polish historians dont have a problem admitting that there were plenty of Polish communists around,I ask again why do some modern day Polish kids not get this as well? Peter,you have hit the nail on the head,there does seem to be a certain section of otherwise inteligent young Poles that seem to want to blame everyone else for everything and cannot/will not admit that maybe,just maybe there were enough Poles willing to do Stalins bidding that not everything bad done in Poland was done by the russians or winston bl o ody churchill (i hate having to defend the drunken a rse but hey,in this case....). Wasnt there a civil war in Poland between 45 and 47 (about 56 if you count the last of the ex home army types to come in from the forests) where loyal Poles were killing other loyal Poles? I would suggest removing the rose tinted(practicaly opaque) glasses if you want to be taken seriously as any sort of historians.

I think what many people find shocking is that ,in effect many Polish servicemen ended up in concentration camp light over here,butagain,there was a massive shortage of housing in the UK after the war,and not unjustifiably in my opinion priority was given to rehousing British troops on De Mob.
