People wanting to travel the world is a different thing from Britain being broken Grounded. There are many factors which could determine their decision to travel. I travelled to many countries but didn't, at any time, see Britain as 'broken'. I just saw it as broadening my horizons and I have no regrets.

Can I ask u Wyspi and Panienka if u feel that ur English is improving through writing on PF. Do u? Just cuz u r here I ask but this question is open to any Pole.

My students cringe at the prospect of writing and feel that it doesn't help them but I assure them that they are wrong

Eh, let me try.

1.5l of broth with meat and vegetables
1l of żur (fermented sth or other), look for żur in shops
50 decagrams of raw white sausage
4 hard-boiled eggs
1/2 glass of thick cream
30 decagrams of mushrooms
1 tablespoon of grated horseradish
5 cloves of garlic
3 bay leaves
1.5 tablespoons of some seasoning
10 black pepper balls
Salt and pepper
