Work / My Polish Teacher's attitude [19]

How do I tell her to shut uo without offending her?

why would you not want to offend her? simply put, she has offended you, and your paying her. i would stub it in the bud. politely remind her that she is your language teaching, and not a teacher off eastern european class systems.

Food / Horse Meat - popular in Poland? [36]

i havent seen any snails being eaten here in krakow, and this place (krakow) has a few frenchy cafe's. BUT!!!! i have been to some chinese resturants where you can buy frogs legs, which i loved! when you cook them their legs squat which turned me off them.

Life / Moving to Poland next year, want to bring my Nissan Skyline [46]

i would say the best way is to ship it into the uk, get it sva'd or something like that, give you a licence to use it in europe for as long as you like. we done it with the liom's we imported from america.

Law / Today's Zloty - 1.00 GBP = 5.25471 PLN [29]

because of the fall in eastern and american stock markets recently it will continue for next few days, but my money is on another raise of interest rates from the bank off england which will increase the pound if the markets dont pick up. my advice would be to exchange your zloty for pounds now, wait a couple off weeks and exchange it back.

UK, Ireland / Do polish people honestly think its a better life in the uk? [17]

Quoting: Michal
Poles are coming and taking the lower paid jobs from the unemployed and vulnerable English workers.

yes but their are lots of english people who have been brought up on the lazy life of social benefits who out right refuse to work. i think the problem is that the uk is tied to closely to the u.s, and because of the economic situation there, investment into the uk has declined, meaning there just isnt as many jobs as their was in the past 5 years. then again, a look onto the job seekers website shows thousands of jobs which have been advertised for months. this is the modern global world we live in now. no point moaning, we have to just get on with it.

Travel / What are Your Best Poland Travel Tips? [64]

In Poland, in a railway carriage, they will steal all your thing and then just throw your body out through a window on to the tracks below. Human life has almost no meaning whatsoever to the Poles.

i close my case your honour

The trouble is in Poland it will be the one person who wants to befriend you who will be most likely to stab you in the back! In Poland, I would trust nobody at all.

no michal that has only happened to you, thats why your contorted views on poland are taken with a pinch of salt

hehehe...you don't glow in the dark yet? lol

no but my third arms is smaller than the other 2;)

UK, Ireland / Polish Thoughts on Britain and the British [273]

its ok, but my point would come down to this, how are norway, iceland and ireland doing. we have the north sea oil in our waters, plus, 1 third of the army are scots regiments, england also have alot to loose, why else are they so against scotland having independance?
