Love / BLACK GUYS POLISH WOMEN [809]

Delayed response, Gliwice isn't a village, no. It's a city with over 200,000 people

Och, I'm gonna stop the jokes now. I do like such things. In Scotland, we had 'sliders', which were ice-cream wafers with chocolate sauce if u wanted it. It was heavenly. They used Walls ice-cream. In Scotland, we have Mackies. It's from the NE of Scotland. Have u tried it Bart?

UK, Ireland / First generation Pole in the UK [24]

There was undoubted collaboration on this front. The Non-Aggression Pact between Russia and Germany delayed any hostility between them. Although I don't agree with a poster here that Stalin stayed true to all his promises, he generally stayed true to his word and Hitler was very relieved to hear that. However, Stalin wasn't gonna do all the donkey work. Osioł, enter the fray and complete my account please. It's ur moment.

News / So why is there so much animosity against Poles? [65]

And I'd argue that they are broadly similar to the ones going to the UK. It's like Britain has clutched to the residuals of the 'splendid isolation' policy by maintaining an inherent distrust of foreigners. I hear mainly good things about Poles in the USA, shootings aside.

Capitalist, eh, no, I voted for the Liberal Democrats when they were a centre-left party in the UK. My girl's mother has primed me many times on communistic times and I feel that I have a basic enough picture. Don't try and deflect the discussion away from ur 'ice-cream' lusting tendencies, LOL

Noimmi has a point here, Himmler was hellbent on the obliteration of all Poles and he held sway with Hitler. The average Nazi, as an efficient killing machine, had no remorse after killing a Pole. We owe a lot to America too, this is sth that PF members seem to overlook. America sustained heavy casualties but had immense firepower. Without their input, where would we be? Britain had so many successes but read ur history books again and u will find that America made a VERY telling contribution.

News / So why is there so much animosity against Poles? [65]

Obviously, u need to look to history for some answers but I feel that many PF members place too heavy a reliance on it. As I have said elsewhere, what characteristics make Poles attract animosity? That must be the question. I find many humble, resourceful and practical.

At home, they like to make them but there aren't many outlets in the public domain. My girl and I make good use of baguettes from Tesco or elsewhere. Bread rolls are also legendary here. For 50 groszy, u can get a big roll that fills a hole.

Poland isn't that big on sandwiches. U can find them at BP stations but sandwich vans are not to be seen here. U ought to try a zapiekanka is u haven't already Osioł

And they say ignorantia iura neminem excusat, ignorance of the law excuses no-one but this is quite obscure. Not everyone is a law student and would know that.

Sometimes u need to state the obvious :) Salmond speaks with conviction and is generating widespread support. He knows that he won't run out of steam

Not so sure if it needs to be done but Salmond has been pushing this agenda for many a year.

If the necessary collective will was there to bring about its retraction, it would be done. Parcel of rogues indeed
