Life / What type and brand of cars do Polish people like? [51]

Is the purpose of this thread to find our what Polish people like or what they buy?

I'd LIKE an Audi R8 but have to settle for a less up market Audi (just). Come on marketing person, refine your question.

Life / Polish dentists - good and cheap? [84]

Woops, that's bad.

When I was out there I had to change my dentist when she married a friend of mine and went to live over here. The replacement was a right dragon...

UK, Ireland / Dialing from uk mobile to a phone in Poland / International number code [12]

Id be surprised if free phone numbers work from outside the UK. From within the UK I know that you drop the leading 0 from the 0800 number from a mobile phone which is what you tried to do. Most institutions will have a seaparte number to call from outside the UK. Check the card company's website.

Love / WILL HE OR WONT HE??? [24]

While in Paris, just be careful where you step ;)

The mayor has launched a major offensive against dogs and their owners I believe. The offensive also covers the stopping of Parisien males relieving themsleves in the streets. Apparently there is a new type of wall on trial that guarantees you weeing on yourself if you try to use it.

So Paris will be romantic again OB so enjoy your time there.

Love / Gift for Polish girls - question [56]

I got told off once for buying a dozen red roses for a Polish Lady. Apparently even numbers are for funerals and I should have bought an odd number of roses. Actually i got told off twice for it - the wife wasn't too impressed that I had been buying flowers for ladies, even ones recovering from an operation.

UK, Ireland / UK taxpayers spend £4.4 million on obese Brits [10]

'nail disfunction' claiming benefits too.

Ah the dreaded fungal brain infection. One day I intend to claim a benefit for something. Perhaps I might get a child allowance? That might not work though because I would have to feed it etc.

LOL. Are you suggesting the average Brit is in danger of being harpooned whilst sunbathing on the Costa del Somethingorother

Thee is a database of stolen European cars at this site [stolencars24.eu]

You will need the Vehicle Identification Number VIN - usually on a plate in the engine compartment. If the VIN plate is damaged or missing it usually means it's been nicked.

UK, Ireland / The best place to live on my own in the UK? [57]

There is no hope for me.... I have known it for a long time now

Anyway as a grockle you are entitled to slag off seaside resorts... it's expected behaviour

UK, Ireland / The best place to live on my own in the UK? [57]

Damn - nostalgia has overtaken me. I'm sitting here remembering the Alice Lisle and Red Shoot Inns now. Fine pubs out Ringwood way. The Red Shoot used to do the best sausage butties in the known universe.
