What he said there was not without foundation. Tusk and Kaczyński are, whilst maybe not subservient to Jewish interests, heavily influenced by them.
I don't know much about Rydzyk but I don't like 'ultra-Catholic'. Ultra anything can be problematic. I think many religions have some merit in some areas. So, as long as he doesn't preach this ultra nonsense then all is ok.

Kraków seems to be for choice. Personally, I like Wrocław. Trains, hmm, not so expensive. 28zł from Gliwice to Kraków, about 100kms. Pretty decent

Parts of Poland are hospitable to foreigners. Coming from a country which is renowned for its hospitality, I'd know. The Poles face a dilemma. There are those who don't want to integrate but get attacked for their 'ignorance' and those who do their utmost to mingle but get turned away for being 'Polaks'. This is hardly fair.

I can only speak for Gliwice but 2 major roads have been completed and they are great. Poland is pulling its socks up and getting its act together. Not b4 time on this front. Poland is a country that's going places

Also bear in mind that many Scots live there. No, not stingy people, but those with businesses and dying for a good steak. We have great steakhouses in Aberdeen, maybe not as good as American, but chunky and full-flavoured. The Poles love their grills and, after grill season, want at least to have the option of eating a rump steak.

I always feel safe enough here. There is potential for an escalation of tension into violence but it's rare. Maybe bcoz I live in Gliwice which is an academic and fairly cultural town. Even the young football fans like to cheer loudly but not riot.
