Travel / Czestochowa - what is it like? [30]

The young have fled in their thousands to live and work overseas. I was in częstochowa not so long ago and I went and met a friend of mine and she said "napewno to miasto spadło na psy" her own words. In short, its a dump.

Yes, but knowing you, this so called "friend," was just some homeless man to begin with.
Michal, your obvious contempt shows through every one of your posts about Poland. Please don't poision this mans mind with your bullshi$.

Love / I'm in love with a nice Polish; she's from another country and religion.. [39]

go and read somethink about asian look, maybe see some pictures in wikipedia

lol. I need to read to see some similarities? All I said was that she looked somewhat Asian. Many Eastern Europeans, especially Ukrainians, and Russians have a somewhat Asian look to them.

Turks and Greeks may look similar, just like Germans and Poles, but their cultures are entirely different. That is the whole point I was making...

really want to thank u filios

No problem : )

and greeks themselfs dancing their natrional arabish dance

lol, silly you. Go read up on something more about the Greek culture other than a "arabish," (which isn't even a word), dance.

that didnt even cross my mind ,

: )

i hope that wont make them nervous ...

I don't see why it would... they will still be looking at you directly as you speak, and it isn't your fault that they don't speak English, or that you don't speak Polish.

After we take away the rights of the Wiccans, who's next?

Why do you say that? Wiccans aren't even a proper religion. Its some kind of cult that worships witchcraft and evil. They should all get thrown onto an island, anyway.

They are laughable.

what do u think?? how it might be

Well, sorry to be pessimestic, but a lot of the older Polish folks aren't really used to seeing their kids, especially daughters, marry outside of their race and religion. I don't know who this girl is, and what her family is like, but I would be prepared if I were you, to recieve some hostility at first. If you are a good guy, eventually that will pass and you will be accepted. Hell, you might be lucky, and hit some liberal family that really doesn't care about ethnicity/religion etc...

Go meet her parents with an open mind, and be prepared for the worst. If you find it hard to communicate, and find some similar views with her family, then just take the girl aside and ask her about their personalities, about what they like etc.. get some gifts for them. I'm not saying to buy their love, but be very kind and honest, and I don't see why they wouldn't like you.

What religion do you practice, if you don't mind my asking?

hehehe

Turks, Greeks the same as Arabs? Yes, go on living and thinking that, little Polish friend.
That would be like me saying that Poles and Germans are the same thing. Would you enjoy having that comparison?

Travel / Czestochowa - what is it like? [30]

A sad boring concrete block sort of a place. The name sounds cool the place looks however, in reality, disgusting.

Please don't listen to what Michal has to say.

Czestechowa is a vibrant city. There are many reminders of the Soviet rule with the concrete blocks, that is true. But lately, many renovations have been taking place downtown, and on the outisde of town. Colorful apartements have sprung up, and new houses as well. Many stores have also been renovated, and built all around the city. Last time I went and visited my family there, I was surprised that I could barely recognize many parts of the city, and I hadn't been there for only 3 years.

It is a very religious and sacred place for Roman Catholics, because the Monastery Jasna Góra is located just north of the downtown area and is a huge attraction.

It is relatively easy to get to the larger cities like Warsaw and Krakow from Czestechowa as well, using the public and payed highways.
Transporation within is very easy. Trolleys and buses operate all around town. There is a small airport located nearby in Katowice named Pyrzowice and there is a decent amount of flights daily to Germany, Czech Republic etc...

I'm sure you will find it a very warm and welcoming place. It is under somewhat of a re-building phase, but that doesn't take anything away from it.

This is very general info, if you need any more information or help, please let me know.

Love / polish girl was by far the best [17]

Just that sometimes in life things happen for a reason which we don't know why at the moment.

The way you put it was very cold indeed. Who knows who this man is? Maybe he is a good father, and the woman is not a good mother?

Well, this is strange to ask.
I mean, Persians were the original whites, which diffused over to Greece, and up North to to Europe and surrounding area.. Greece was occupied very early..

UK, Ireland / 2 Polish men killed in Drimnagh, Dublin [29]

I would rather say: two guys minding their own business and being at the wrong time at the wrong place. I don't think it has anything to do with them being Polish. The cr*p that attacked them would've attacked anyway - would it be Poles, Irish, Dutch, British, that doesn't matter.

No, I highly doubt that. Poles are very recognizable overseas, especially in the UK. The hooligans were probably drunk, and looking for something "fun" to do. They should all be sent to prison for life.

News / US military... how does poland feel about the US military? [70]

Kid your a ***** plain and simple and online everyone can claim to be a billoner. Your dad probably works some low-paying blue coller job and you live in a fantasy land. It seems mabye you forgot to take your medication. IF you were everything you claim to be you would not be posting stupid comments like this in a online forum.

By the way did anyone notice that the majority of **** talking loosers come from Southeren Califronia?

Don't worry my marine friend. Once he gets his medication again, he will calm down, and we will have some peace.

News / What you think about the Polish President, Kaczynski? [53]

Ok, this sentence makes me somewhat doubt you are in Poland. TVN, pro-Kaczynski, now? TVN is mafia run... and if anything, it is now Pro-Tusk from what I see. It swings from one side to another, as presidents come and go. I don't watch that crap, rather, I watch T.V Polonia where I am, and Wiadamosci, and read un-biased news articles.

News / What you think about the Polish President, Kaczynski? [53]

but it is also an opinion of the majority of Poles that chose him as the worst president ever

Yes, I admit, Kaczynski was incorrect in his assumption that his limited campaigning would garner support from the young people. He also concentrated too much on putting down corruption, something that most Poles still see as their life-line. This is all true. Poland is not yet ready for a President who could perhaps instill some sort of transparent and un-corrupt policies.

Apparently you are not as well informed as you thought you were.

Could be my friend, but I at least see some truth to the matter.
