News / Third World War and the role of Poland [82]
Of course the Americans and the Brits did...in the case of Roosevelt and his 'advisors' it was already decided that the Soviet Union was to take control of Eastern Europe, including Poland...there was a heavy penetration of Communists into the US Government
before, during & after WWII...in the case of Britain, the Polish provisional or Home government was resident in the UK throughout the war, and they were given assurances that they would be the legitimate government in Poland after the war...when
Stalin and the communists objected, the Allies completely caved in and allowed Stalin to put apparatchiks like Berman in power...how do you define who wins a war?...one of the
primary definitions is the aquisition of territory...now who gained territory after WWII?...
the communists/bolshevists as represented by the Soviet Union, who made Eastern Europe their 'satellite' states...also Israel, who took over Palestine...Poland regained so-called independence, but under the control of communism, which shifted Poland's border westward, taking territory from Germany, and annexing Polish territory in the East.
It is not so easy, because of money...do you think that Poland would be a good place for me to relocate to?...I would be interested, but I don't have, say 5000-10000 Euros in
my account to be able to make a reasonable start there...but maybe I wouldn't need that much?
Quoting: Matyjasz
As for Americans selling us out, we never had any treat signed between our governments nor did Roosevelt ever promised us anything, so I don't think that we can talk here about "selling us out". (I'm also against saying that the UK sold us out BTW)
