Life / WHY IS DISCO POLO WORSE THAN RAP CRAP? [20]

Music died when techno was born!!

As I consider myself being a musician, I listen to all kinds of music. Simply because I think you have to listen to something before you can say sth about it. Some ppl have called my music "slow techno", but not many and mainly because they are not aware of the existence of TripHop, downtempo and lounge. Most ppl think it's a mixture of Moby, Massive Attack and Portishead. I like to say it sounds like myself :)

I wouldnt by a disco polo CD either but at least its music.

Hm, no, I am not gonna comment on that :x

trance on the other hand is ace, modern day classical,

Trance? You mean trance as in a nearly constant repetition of only very slightly altering loops, be it midrange, lowrange or highrange? Granted, some of it is good, but I have trouble with the fact that a lot of tunes are gathered under the label "Trance" which don't belong there, as they are only Eurohouse or sth.

Disco Polo. It's there. We can't change that. We will have to accept its existance. Soit.

What tactiques tio change? If russian soldiers were captured, death rate in german concentration camps was 80%.

The finnish did not put their Russian POW's into concentration camps to be killed. Yet the Russians provided the same tactics by sheer masses as they always have done. True, the Nazis were not kind on Russian POW's but one cannot use the "either die fighting or die as POW" excuse for the lack of Russian strategic insight. And there couldn't have been any insight anyway as Stalin had killed his best generals during the cleansing of 1936-1937 and the good ones remaining were put on non-active. What was left were incompetent b*stards who basically didn't have a clue what they were doing beside the "send-more-cops" method. Only later in the war some militairy intelligence came on the Russian side of things, when it was decided to give the good generals another chance. But by then tens of millions of them already had died.

at last you have knowlegde about things you don't care about.

Yes - I like to know as much pssbl, I'm broad- and openminded. I am Dutch :))

Poland was one of the great European power !
IN WWII nobody were better then Poland in 1939!
Polish Army was one of the best !

*grin* You make a couple of grammatical errors there. You should write it like this:

Poland was one of great European power!
In WW2 nobody was better then Poland 1939!
Polish Army was one of best!

(it kinda strikes me that all the Wikipedia articles presented here as links AND as English versions to prove that sth is not only a Polish version of history, are in fact all written by Poles. It's easy to pick out the typical grammar errors Poles make)

UK, Ireland / Exploiting Polish Workers by the UK businesses [90]

By reading this, people might think that britain is going backwards instead of forward. But it is just a fact of life that inmigration/enmigration has been there forever, and it will not stop! Or have you forgotten the wave of arse-poor inmigrants from england fleeing to North America, Australia or South Africa? Or is it because they were "English" that it was good and justified?

Don't waste your energy on this man or on RN for that matter, my son. The only thing that seperates them from White Supremacists is the fact that they don't call themselves like that. But you're right in a way. If everybody in the UK or Ireland was thinking like that, it wo go down the hill for those two pretty quickly. Unfortunately they are too ignorant to see this.

We comprehend them very well.

How can you comprehend 50 to 70 million dead ppl? There also SEEMED to be an extinction program concerning the Jews from the Nazi-side. But I am not sure. I am sure the main aim of the Nazis was to exterminate all Slavs. Maybe the Jew extinction-program is just a rumor?

While the French avoided this tactique and so they had less casualties.

Ergo, the French are smarter, after all, they saved a lot of lives. Even Pétain had this in mind when he decided to capitulate to the Germans and started Vichy-France. He had seen the slaughter of his men in WW1, he didn't want a repetition of that. The Russians didn't learn. They just use as many men as pssbl. Who cares if they die? There are plenty more where that came from! Russians always use this tactic. Against Finland they only won because of this. If the Russians were a bit smarter, it would have saved them many lives.

I am not saying that Russia is responsible for the many deaths on their side, but they could've reduced it greatly by altering tactics. Of course, the war was imposed on them, but yet. Also there are clues that suggest that if Nazi-Germany hadn't attacked Russia in 1941, Stalin would've attacked Germany at some later point in time.

Law / Ease of doing business - Poland ranks 72nd in the world [8]

Looking at this list and seeing the US on 4th, UK on 5th and Ireland on 7th place, and other English speaking countries or countries where English is not a big problem, I can't help thinking that language is crucial, not economical strength.

If there were not the Slavs,EU would exist today but its name would be Grossdeutschland.

Or the Union of Soviet European States?

I do appreciate the effords of the ppls in Eastern Europe. Especially the Russians, and so did everybody else in the world, witness the massive rise in popularity of the respective Communist Parties in Western Europe in the years immediately following WW2. And I also think that a victim is a victim, no matter Pole, Romanian, Russian, Jew or whatever. I have to add to this that the sheer number of Russian casualties is also due to the general Russian tactic of throwing in as many ppl as you can and in the end you will win, not because of militairy superiority, but by sheer numbers of ppl. Just look at this list:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties

I have to admit though that the true number of victims will never be known. But this comes close. Poland: about 2.5 million Poles, 3 million Jews.

Guess we will never be able to comprehend the vast numbers we're dealing with.

So if you werent there these Irish people would not have been employed? everybody is replacable.

That goes for everyone who employs ppl, right?

thinks MG talks far to much about himself and needs to actually do some work instead of posting how great he is on here all day long

What if M-G has a quiet two weeks? Happens to the best of us. Next week(s) will be busy again, so? Truth may sometimes be arrogant, so what's the problem?

Mr Mgee I am interested to know, why at the end of your comments you speak in the 3rd person. It is almost like you, as "mgee ",are detaching yourself from the comment. Please explain.

I attract apparently quite some attention by doing that. Don't know why I leave sigs (because that's what they are meant to be), always have done that. Kinda distinguishes me from the rest. And it gets even followers, so I see.

If you hate the place and its people, which is obvious from your posts, go home. It is that simple. Back to your multiculti hellhole, which is Holland.

Maybe not irreplacable, but certainly useful. Like me there are many other "foreigners". They all are useful and provided you guys the knowledge you yourself lack(ed). If I would hate the place, I would have been gone long time ago. But I'm here for over 5 years and that's mainly because the vast majority of the Irish are not retarded morons like you.

BMW's, Mercs and peugeots e.t.c + access to the city, haha it just gets better.

Don't over-estimate your own role. There are countries within the EU that are more important. And besides, you like your beamers, mercs, etc, do you?

Food / What Polish food or drink do you not like and why? [37]

Don't like something called "Greek Fish". Although I love fish, this is cooked white fish, served cold and a sort of mixture of carrots, ketchup and some other stuff on top of it. I like white fish, but it has to be warm in my opinion. For the rest I pretty much like most of the Polish cuisine.

Are you telling me that corporation such as Microsoft puts profit ahead of PC movement? Well there's a surprise for you. So whose fault is this ?, even if such decision was made by a Pole. What you are really saying here is that it's not racism that paid a part in decision making but corporate greed.

This is what my friend from the marketing HQ told me. I can't tell you anything else. But as you could've read, it's a bit of both. Racism in order to make money, so to say.

You are not european. You are a semite. Jews are not europeans.

HAHAHAHAHA, you wrote a lot of cr*p, but this beats everything. Don't know if I'm older than you, but if I am, I am probably more and longer European than you are :) If I am not European, nobody here is. Born and raised in NL, worked and paid taxes all my working life and my mother happens to be Jewish, whereas my dad is Protestant. They both are Dutch, by the way. I have never been to Israƫl. And I am not religious anyway. Religion does not define nationality.

If I follow your reasoning, then you are not an Irishman, you are a Catholic. And Catholics live in the Vatican, so continuing that line, you would be a foreigner too :)

Now stop this nonsense, or else I will tell your Sinn Fein friends that you have been talking to Europeans and I bet they will be very angry at you when they hear such blasphemy.

Well Revoke, I don't see myself as superior to anybody, nor inferior. But to some ppl with disgusting views like racism, anti-equality, etc, I do. And as far as the Irish economy is concerned, I did my share and defintively more than you yourself.

It is estimated that the UK gave the EU £13.7 billon in 2008 and got back £3.6 billion in rebate.

The UK is the only country that gets a rebate in the first place.

Coming from someone leeching off of the Irish!

I beg your pardon? First of all, I didn't ask to be here, I was transferred and secondly, thanks to me a few hundred ppl of which many Irish have a job. I would not call that leeching. Piorun

Well, like I said the choice is for everybody indivitually to make. MS isn't the only one, in the future it's expected that everybody will start to work like this. And even Linux will start charging some fee as is being rumored for a while now. I want ease of usage and Windows gives me this and that's why I use it, not because I work for MS. Although it has its advantages, free OS'es and so on :)

But I still don't like putting all my stuff on some remote server. So probably I will make that switch as late as pssbl.

To answer the question about why MS changed the face of a coloured gentleman into a white gentleman for the Polish market: this wasn't decided by the central marketing dept, it was a kind of "wild" action by the Polish sub-division; they didn't like the fact that it was a dark person. Not only out of personal preference, but also because the coloured gentleman would lead to remarks, more or less nasty and sales would drop. That's why the Polish dept of MS decided to do a lousy PhotoShop job. The central marketing dept did not condone this.

It's very simple, guys. Nobody asked the UK and Ireland to join the EU. They wanted to join themselves. And to quote the BritishHasBeenEmpire, "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Let's see how long you will survive without EU and especially the money that's coming out of the EU.

News / Poland Remembers start of WW2 [200]

But why should we expect a Pole to talk about what actually happened in history?

I actually second that. I'm too getting a bit tired of hearing and reading how great the Poles were in WW2 and how they suffered and how world-changing their work was. I am sure they did something, but for the biggest part the effects were only local, not global. In short, nobody outside of Poland really cared about what happened in Poland. And they still don't care. Poles may think is does, but the world doesn't.

By the way, because Britain bombed German cities, 35,000 Polish men women and children were dragged out of their house in Warsaw and shot in the streets in a few days by the Germans as revenge. Didn't know that did you.

What nonsense is this? Because the BRITISH bombed GERMAN cities, the GERMANS were taking revenge on the POLES???? Again, an exaggeration of the Polish role in history. Poland was and will remain a backwater in Europe.

Stability is not an issue anymore since Win2K. Personally I don't like Linux, and unless it comes with all the programs I use and need, I might consider it. However, it's a given fact that way out most programs are available for Windows. So I use Windows out of practicality, not because of anything else. And besides, Linux is too much hassle to set up, although those later version are more user-friendly. And this is also the main point of the success of Windows: user-friendliness.

Cloud computing is not new. Linux also has a few flavors and Windows Azure is also already on its way. Just do a search on Google for Windows Azure.

Pros are that you always will have an up to date desktop, smaller machines needed (in theory you should have enough with 512K mem, smaller proc, etc) quicker interchangeability with co-workers and so on. Have a look: microsoft.com/azure/windowsazure.mspx

It still does not take away from my point, we never colonised any country.

When a prisoner who has been in jail for 10 years says: "hey, but I didn't commit a crime in those 10 years", does this make him a good man? Don't think so. You never colonized any country (although it were Irish priest who went to christen Europe, I would say that's also a form of colonization, but heck) because you never got the chance. Only when you have the chance and don't do it, then you can rightfully say that you're proud of not having done so. Not saying that you cannot be proud now, but it's a different pride. A pride for being barred from the opportunity. There's a difference there.

Two tiered E.U? :)

Don't know, it's what I see on some of the boards that hang on the lampposts throughout the city. A fairer EU means equal rights for everybody, however I do support the idea that those who have invested more than others should have a bigger say. And we all know which countries those are.

An English man, drinks ale, has many fine musicians, ( works hard but only has one child as that is all he can afford to provide for)

An Irish man, drinks water (if he has it), eats raw meat, (no source of income but has 9 children)

Which culture is better?

LOL

M-G (going to sleep)

What makes you say that?

That's what I hear grosso modo from my Irish friends. Of course it's not gonna happen, but yet I sense this growing dissatisfaction among ppl who were pretty much in favor of the EU before. Maybe it's just the influx of foreigners which is going extremely fast, where as we (and I take my home country as example as I cannot speak for other countries) got decades and decades to get used to foreigners coming in and taking their place within our society. Maybe they just need to get used to the new circumstances.

Well sorry but I do not. I am proud to be from a country with no history of colonising, invading or attacking anywhere else.

Well, that's only because you have been colonized yourself. There is no way of telling if Ireland wouldn't have done the same were it independent all that time.

News / Microsoft Poland whitens a black face in its advert [130]

A word of advice for microsoft or anyone that works for them; DETAILS, DETAILS.

Details are widely available on Inet. Just have to look for them. Windows Vista was actually a premature release of the form Windows 7 has. Like Windows 2000 basically served as a forerunner of WinXP. And besides, if I may believe what is circling around, Windows 7 will probably be the last version of Windows based on local machine; the follow up will be stored on huge server parks and your pc will act as a terminal. You buy a license and with that you log in to that specific server and you have your OS there, including all your files. Pros are that you don't need heavy machinery anymore and can access your very own desktop from any place in the world, con is I don't like the idea that all your stuff is stored on a -although heavily guarded literally with security officers- remote machine. I like to have my stuff on my own machine. But that's something for the next 5 years or so. Those are the plans, I am not 100% sure they are actually going to fulfill them.

you just look like some sad attention seeker

Last I checked the 50 cent and Beyonce concerts in Poland sold pretty well

I guess then it is fair to say that Poles arent racist, but in fact fans of sh!t music?

HAHAHAHAHAHA, did you know that the guys central in he real story on which "Mississippi Burning" was based, listened to Sam Cooke (in case you don't know him, he is black and probably the best singer there has ever been) and said they just loved to hear him sing, right before they went out to kill some of those darn "n*i*g*g*e*r*s"?
