News / The Polish Post Office is swamped at Christmas Season! [22]

sucks some of you are having problems. I've never had any shipping problems to-from PL. I've shipped Jewelery and Electronics. Sometimes it'll arrive 1 week late, but that's about it. Maybe it's possible that it depends on the city your'e shipping to.

Post offices all over are swamped. Most of you should know by now that holiday shipping needs to be done earlier :)

USA, Canada / Health care, USA is messed up what about your country? [33]

no old folk cutting pills in half

B.....lol I've never heard of anyone doing this. it's BS

My healthcare is cheap and good. It all depends on who you work for. Taking a job these days forces you first to check their benefits. Hey $10 per month isn't that bad.

USA, Canada / Health care, USA is messed up what about your country? [33]

Healthcare for me is cheap. I only pay $10 per month and have a $500 deductable.

What are the benefits of having free healthcare? Who pays for it? The Dr's must not be getting paid that well. I would think that the lines would be longer and the treatment less than par.

USA, Canada / Roads and Driving rules in Poland versus America [63]

How strict are they on drinking and driving in Poland.

Just about a 0 tolerance. My gf wont let me drive after 1 beer. I've also been givena difficult time getting the keys if I've had a lot of vodka the night before. Very strict with her family. I'd imagine some others to be just as cautious.

Boston has some very aggressive drivers

Boston is crazy with driving and traffic. I'll take my NYC anyday ;)

USA, Canada / Roads and Driving rules in Poland versus America [63]

I've seen a few accidents, but no more than here in the US. Our youth drive more recklessly than anyone else IMO. They all have these "fast & furious" cars and think they're too good to crash.... I see people crashing into stores and houses all the time. As far as drivinfg rules goes, I think that there's more overtaking going on in Poland. here in NY-NJ passing isn't allowed unless you're upstate in the country. The most reckless people i see in Poland are the Russian truckdrivers overtaking other trucks passing in between 2 trucks...crazy. I also experience more courteous people in Poland that move over to the shoulder so you can pass. They don't do that here in America....they'd rather you try to pass and crash. Here more people drive and do stupid things out of spite.

Life / Is drinking water in Poland good? [96]

I don't drink the tap water. After boiling in an electric kettle, you can see all sorts of sediment and build-up. I use the same kettle for NYC tap water and it never leaves a build-up of sediment.

I usually drink Zywiiec water when there.

....but I'm sure it's ok to drink :)

Food / Beer and syrup - tastes better! [48]

What's good with chocolate powder

Hot milk :)

anyone know where to get Zuberek apple juice in the nottinghamshire region

It's not juice. It's more of a strong apple syrup. I was only able to find it in PL, but it was attached to the bottle as a promo.

UK, Ireland / Are polish pupils harming native british childrens education? [280]

it merely mentions that heads of school are seeking help to assist the children whom english is not first language assistance and extra support in schools.

Yeah, looks like a lack of teachers. There's another article similar to this.

Noimmig is just looking for ammo because he's obviously bored and lacks creativity.

But lacking quite a lot of intelligence, obviously.
THAT is what is wrong with the British education system.

Spot on ;)

Yeah, I don't see anything about PL students here. He's just reaching......

NFL star dies from bullet wound

That's crazy. He was in bed and was shot in the groin. Poor guy was prob getting his groove on. Who'd think a shot below the belt would kill you...painful yeah, but death? He was rushed to the hospital too, so you'd think ther would be a better chance for survival.

We have a lot of Freemasons in NJ and I know and work with a few. My Grandfather was a freemason and I never heard of anyone being killed because they wanted out. It's possible that this occurred back in the day, but not no w.
