USA, Canada / The 2nd Amendment (USA), the right to own guns [261]

research seems to suggest a connection and supports the relationship between legal ownership and reduced crime rate as you say - are criminals more detered by the possibility of their victims carrying a gun than by the police force?

USA, Canada / The 2nd Amendment (USA), the right to own guns [261]

interesting articles - is there a western country that has changed legislation to allow ownership of fire arms, what impact has this had on gun related homocide/suicide and was there an increase of both during the transition stage?

News / Undertakers in Lodz :( [24]

money into the health system

hmmm... these mass murderers were entirely motivated by greed, financial gain, and the money largely came from the government - pumping money into public services obviously has merit but it was the money made available by the government that proved the motivation

Life / A Polish Priest lying about freemasons [57]

Life / Trance music (which i love!) seems pretty big in Poland??... [67]

TripHop

trip hop and big beat appeared on the polish scene in the mid 90s - i saw US3 and Freestylers play live in the 3M at the time. the polish hip hop scene is also well established

one of the best things about poland for me is the abundance of good live music

News / Undertakers in Lodz :( [24]

not suprised - up to 50,000 people potentially killed for financial gain is, afterall, pretty shoking

Life / The price of infant milk powder NaN in Poland? [12]

having had both chemo and radio therapy i believe im qualified to talk on this subject

if a womans ability to produce milk for their infant is taken away from them as a result of either treatment this is of course tragic

but in contrast, there is no doubt boundless gratitude that they have lived to have children and that they are still able to reproduce - bottle feeding is fortunatley not as bad as it gets

Life / A Polish Priest lying about freemasons [57]

hasn't the church always lied to install fear and hate in the masses - surely thats what the church does... and hasnt there always been people who fall hook, line and sinker for what the church tells them... surely thats what sheep do

UK, Ireland / Poles in Ireland, are they second class citizens? [90]

i knew matty was special... :-)

If the missus earns just as much as you do, there is no reason why she shouldn't pay half.

thats a very good point, now you come to mention it... but how do you explain the bland cheese...?

given the relative costs it might be more prudent to kick out the netherlands given that they cost alot and contribute little

infact you could have 2 uks for less than the cost of 1 netherland

UK, Ireland / Poles in Ireland, are they second class citizens? [90]

same Wikipedia source

once again using the same wiki source, and another unexplained calculative process designed to give point proving figures - it seems that netherlands costs the eu 206 euros per capita per annum whereas the uk costs only 92 euros... which in my book is 114 euro less

Holland pays considerably more contributions than Britain to the EU

uk contributions 13 739 900 046 euro

netherland contribution 5 552 933 781 euro
