Love / I really like this Polish guy....what to do next?? [76]

Ive had relationships with guys in their early 20s when I was in my late 30s.. we knew they werent gonna last, but they sure were fun. I blame myself for starting this, but we seem to be trashing Irishgirls thread.. maybe should start a new one if anyone is interested in this topic?

well everyone is different and there are plenty of young men that like older women, either for relationships or sometimes just for fun. Maybe you need to get out more Torny :) Before I was with my current partner I had some experience of this. I have dated a guy 15 years older and 15 year younger and the younger ones win every time, they have the stamina and you have the experience, so its a winning combination.

my god i couldn't imagine having a girlfriend who is 37 that would be a bit too much of a gap for me

you might not have that much in common for a long term relationship, but believe me there is something to be said about younger men and older women getting together for fun..:)

Food / ordering polish food and drink online to send to spain [6]

i want to send some thinks to a pain

is he really that much of a pain and how do you send thinks? or maybe you want to send food to spain? Why not order it on a Spanish website and get it from in-country.. save the carbon emissions. Not sure where, but there must surely be Polish food in Spain now since there are lots of Poles working there.

Life / Smoking in bars or restaraunts in Poland. This nasty habit continues... [27]

what about landlords who smoke and live and work in the pub.. they are being discriminated against and have no choice. A lot of pubs are going out of business and although they might now attract non-smokers, they are generally not big spenders. I appreciate non-smokers dont want to passive smoke, but if there were smoking and non smoking pubs there would be a choice for everyone.

Love / WHY DO POLISH WIVES WHO ARE AWAY NOT VISIT THEIR HUSBANDS? [75]

sound like he isnt happy with her, but some just like the freedom to do what they want and will then go back to their family. I think every case is different so you can only go on what he tells you really and hope for the best. Hope it works out for you.

Feedback / Deleting a member [23]

Although I wish I had given more thought to some of my comments, especially now that a certain person is going to find them and read them!

dont worry we have all done that. I asked admin to remove a couple of particular posts that I regretted posting and they very kindly did. If he knows your profile name and password there it can be problematic :) I dont think you have anything to be ashamed of though, from what I have seen. Hope you are gonna tell us how your night went ;)

Love / Sending flowers to my Polish boyfriend [73]

thats such a pessimistic view Tornado... flowers are lovely. My partner always takes my mom flowers when he visits and it makes her so happy.. sometimes little things go a long way. You send the flowers and then follow it up with a phone call.

Love / Sending flowers to my Polish boyfriend [73]

I would love to send my bf flowers, but i've found that its VERY expensive. any advice?

I use charityflowers.com. It isnt any cheaper, but a percentage of the cost goes towards a charity that you can specify from a long list. Might make you feel better about spending so much money. There are some cheaper places than interflora or this one though.. just google cheap flowers.

Love / POLISH SIBLINGS SLEEPING TOGETHER! [172]

he asked me today if he wanted to go back to poland to live if i could come with him

i dont really understand what you mean by this. Asking you to go live in Poland in order to distract you from the fact he is shagging his sister? (sorry, I meant sleeping not shagging) Will you get a one or two bedroom place in Poland? assuming that she will be living with you.

Life / Smoking in bars or restaraunts in Poland. This nasty habit continues... [27]

freedom of choice has been taken away from smokers. Go back to the old system of smoking rooms or simply have smoking and non smoking pubs is what I think.

I posted on this before asking when it was coming to Poland, but no-one seemed to know. The new craze is apparantly smirting (smoking and flirting) where as Wroclaw says you get chatting to people you normallly wouldnt outside the pub.. so guess every cloud has a silver lining. People have been complaining about fag ends on the streets, but they should provide proper bins to put them in.. some pubs do this, but not many.

Love / I really like this Polish guy....what to do next?? [76]

from what I've been reading on this forum I won't stand a chance with him if it turns out I am older than him!!!!

dont worry about that. I am 4 years older than my partner and he doesnt seem to mind..although his family think it strange that Ive never been married at my age.. but thats cos things are different here.. especially in big cities, people are leaving it til later to settle down and have kids. He does call me babcia at times, but hopefully is only joking.. and most people think he is older than me as he looks it. Anyway, good luck and keep us posted.

Love / WHY DO POLISH WIVES WHO ARE AWAY NOT VISIT THEIR HUSBANDS? [75]

well good luck to you and I wish you both all the best. My partner spoke hardly any English when we met and I knew no Polish, this combined with the other matters has made it far from easy, but I love him and he loves me. I dont really like posting my personal details on here, but feel free to PM me if you wish to do so. I am interested to hear how your relationship progresses.

Love / POLISH SIBLINGS SLEEPING TOGETHER! [172]

looks like this thread is gonna run and run.................if he is telling you not to ask his sister about it then seems like you have discussed it with him, but you arent saying what he said in response, apart from that he thought it wasnt a good thing. Does he speak good English? surely you must have discussed it in more depth than that? Lets face it if there is something untoward going on he's hardly likely to admit it is he.

a person who is talking to you lokk left-hes lying, right-telling the truth;
and that's proven...

set up a secret camera for next time she comes over?? Does the sister have a bf? why dont you ask her too why she stays in his bed? or call the parents and ask if this is normal for them?

Love / POLISH SIBLINGS SLEEPING TOGETHER! [172]

well my communication issues were down to language barriers and in this case its not easy to just confront someone as things can easily be misunderstood. I dont know if this is the case here, but thats my experience. I wont say it was easy, but we managed to overcome them and are happy together.

Love / POLISH SIBLINGS SLEEPING TOGETHER! [172]

i disagree with you tornado.. ideally it is good to have those things, but you are takinga simplistic view.. I have had problems with both of those in my relationship, but still we love each other and have been together for more than 2 years... remember all relationships are different and there is no blueprint for what works and what doesnt.

Love / POLISH SIBLINGS SLEEPING TOGETHER! [172]

woah.. Tornado you are being a bit hasty.. I think she should first establish the facts as it could be entirely innocent.. then she would have ditched her bf for no reason. Trust can take time to establish and maybe they havent been together that long. Just saying leave him is not constructive advice.

Love / POLISH SIBLINGS SLEEPING TOGETHER! [172]

well Im not Polish so dont know.. maybe they are just very close and it was innocent, but seems a bit odd at their age and if there was another empty bed available. I wouldnt like it myself.
