Polonia / anyone been to St Petersburg? [51]

It's not as easy as with the EU countries, but it's not really hard. It wasn't that difficult for me... I just needed an invitation from the company that organised my stay there and the visa wasn't very expensive.

seems like you had an easy ride, probably something to do with the company invatiation like you said.

Arghh you're not the first one to assume the photos aren't mine! I just wonder why... Do I look like an unskilled photographer? :P

lol, i forgot about your photography skills its been that long since i've spoken to you, hehe.

I did take them myself. What's more, I did it using a fairly sh!tty camera ;))
Seems I'm just talented :P hahaha

modest then :):):):)

nice to see you again, well your text anyway :)

Polonia / anyone been to St Petersburg? [51]

I think Russia is a place i would love to visit, however i've heard it is expensive and really hard to get a Permit to enter the country. I remember when all the football fans went across to Moscow, there was all sorts of trouble in getting permits etc and some of the stories about the authorities!!!!

Jova

some nice photo's there :) i can assume you did not take them yourself?? or am i wrong

Love / Presents for my other half, Lukasz from Poland. [35]

Well i've seen some of the comments on this thread and i've been laughing all the way down, when i got to the bottom and saw those delightful lady toys i knew then poor Lukasz has no chance of getting a decent present.

So far we've got

1. A pakistani Blow up doll
2. Packet of condoms
3. A Dildo
4. A make over for hottie from a white blonde girl to a pakistani :)

I think the only thing i would add is a kick up the backside and a break from the relationship to show him what he's missing, lol.

Ok so on a serious note, how about:

1. An invatation to your house
2. You cook up a really nice three course meal that he won't forget
3. Then give him some tickets to a racetrack where you can drive a fast car or two
4. After the ticket presentation change into that sexy new lingerie you purchased for yourself earlier that day.
5. Then blow him away and make him realise part of the reason he is with you and loves you.
6. Whatever happens then is the business you and him and not the PF Members, lol.

All of these things should do, it shows, 1. your willing to spend your time creating something for him (Care). 2. Show that you are aware of his interests (The tickets)

3. Keep the attraction going and revitalising and spicing up that sex life of yours (Physical/Mental Emotions)

You'll never hear again about the girl next door and he will remember and evening like that for a long time to come :)

Good luck

UK, Ireland / Benefits for separated Polish wife and 2 kids in the UK [90]

The biggest burden to the UK tax payer is the indigenous bunch of wasters who claim.

thing is we are not discussing the endigenous population, although you are correct in that, it is their country to dos about in :). Let's clean out the rubbish we have from abroad who are the 'minority' of people who claim and then sort out our own people!!!

Love / This is probably going to be silly but.. I really want a Polish boyfriend [44]

this is probably going to sound silly but i want 50 Polish girlfriends, then i would like to move to an arabic country where it would be legal to marry all 50, then i would like to father four children with each. After that i would like to claim benefits in the UK when i have moved back from the arabic nation after marriage, then i could make myself and my 50 wives millionaires with all that money rolling in.

so what do you think?? sounds like a plan to me :) lol

UK, Ireland / Benefits for separated Polish wife and 2 kids in the UK [90]

Natasia, I do agree your friend doesn't have much of a future in the UK in her current situation.

i would say she has not future in the UK, it is best to go back to her homeland and claim benefits there. I'm fed up to the teeth of people thinking that Britain is an easy target for claiming benefits and having a good life of the back of the British tax payer!!!

She probably should return to Poland and carry on with her life there, where she can be near family no doubt.

Exactly, there are more positives going back to Poland than satying in the UK, for both sides, her and the people of the uk.

your making good sense there.

she is NOT welcome at all.

i must say i would not welcome her either, there are people who are more than welcome to come to the UK but in this situation if it was down to a vote i would send her home.

Life / First Racial Attack for me in Poland [158]

Walking with my girlfriend last night we were approached by a guy who then tried to punch me for no reason other than i was speaking english.

I am saddened by this, as its my first taste of this, and i have ended up with a broken hand. Anyone else suffered from this?

And yes i know poles get the same in england, so don't get defensive, just wondered if its only happened to me

I would say mate this is something that could happen anywhere, if you take out the fact your English in Poland. Exactly the same situation could rise anywhere in the world. Some people are just idiots and are looking for fights, i think you should count yourself lucky though considering in certain parts of Kingston, Jamaica you potentially are shot for being white by the local hoolies :).

It really can happen anywhere Griff. I have been told in recent weeks to ****-off back home by a guy on a bus. He'd been offering me a seat but I didn't realise he was talking to me so I didn't answer. So the next thing he's barged past me and said 'why don't you ****-off back home'. This is strange because I was born here and it is my home...I suppose sometimes people also judge on appearance only and people think I look very Polish.

That's just unlucky, to be honest if i offered somebody a seat and they did not answer, i would probably call them ignorant or something like that. I agree there is not need for 'fcuk of home' there never is. Have you experienced anymore situations like this in the UK??? or is this just a one off?

I'm sorry. Carry the knife and kill next time.

lol, clean the streets of the scum, why not :)

Or the clothes.

no that is sad, giving somebody a jaw breaker just because of the clothes they wear!!! I men really some people have nothing else to do with their lives do they!!

or the Queen

why don't the Polish like the Queen??

It happened to me too in Krakow.I was with some friends. A group of idiots stopped us and one took a knife out , for no aparant reason!! I feel sorry to say that majority of poles seem to be rascists!! Please don't take offence, as I know a few poles that are very good people! But majority seems to be hating other language, country and race!!Since Poland was admitted to Europe , it seems to have gone to their heads. You would see lots of poles bragging about their superior status as Europeans..on this forum..Only few years ago , nobody wanted Poland as part of Europe!!I think these people should be lot more humble!!

this sort of situation where they may be looking ro rob people is simple, a foreigner in a country they are not used to, plus the fact that tourists often carry large amounts of cash around with them.

Maybe it wasn't an act of bigotry but simply a random act of hooliganism and violence?

good point, brainless scum don't need a reason to do anything.

Love / In your opinion, are most Polish women 'Easy'? [243]

Its an interesting question with interesting answers, i certainly do not think this thread was written with 'race' specifics and i certainly do not think it was racist. I thnk that Misty is right in saying Bogi is looking for a bit of an argument about race.

I'm going to restrain from putting across my view as i'm sure i would enrage somebody :)

Happy chatting

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

Poles only open their mouths when provoked.

that is wrong and you know it :). So its all the visitors who come to PF that start the History threads is it??? about who killed in on 1930 odd or 1830 odd, i don't think so.

I would not dream of commenting on the complicated problems in N Ireland.

Even if you did i don't think you would find many people crying about it the same way as some of the Poles on here do about their history :)

UK, Ireland / Cold and ignorant Polish girls living in the UK [128]

wow this has gone super crazy since i left, what is going on right here???

why are you picking on this guy, he expressed his feelings, that was all. He told of his own experience, why do you have a problem with it??

Maybe there are a lot of 'Cold' Polish girls, as i've said i've met one in particular that was cold but they are not all open minded, warm hearted you know!!!

There have also been other threads like this one saying the same thing, its a point of view, as so many people say to me, deal with it!!

At the end of the day mate, if you don't like them or for some reason feel they all are cold, then don't bother with them. That is the simplist and straightest i can give it to you. I feel in your case you just need to meet some nice Polish girls to assure you that we are not feeding you bull here :).

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

Don't mean to be offensive - but it's obvious that you -
your relatives - the people around you - your country
has not been fu*ked in the a*s for a loooong time.

lol really, or maybe its because you can't get real and 'move on', **** happens.

Effort in not allowing the truth to be twisted. People are happy to let things lie until Russia does a thing like this! People search for truth in the memory of their loved ones and for the memory of history and quite frankly tornado, you can be very offending when you tell people they shouldn't live in the past, it's happened and all your other remarks to posts like this. If you don't want to discuss these subjects sensibly instead of telling people they are wrong, they are living in the past then you should stay out of these conversations! It's a bloody history thread posted in a section about Polish history! The gist is that people talk about the past. Get over it!

now your telling me i'm wrong becuase i have a different approach to you and some other people on the website!!!! Don't go on and on about offensive, maybe your just taking it a little to seriously!!!!. I'm well aware that people want to find out what happened to their loved ones, i'm sure there are many Bosnians and many other nationalities that want to find out what happened to their loved ones. I've seen documentaries on the Bosnia/Serbia tragedy, a lot of Bosnians simply said they just wanted to know what happened to their loved ones, where they died, etc etc and not all the crap surrounding it. Maybe its a leaf from a book others could do well taking from

UK, Ireland / Cold and ignorant Polish girls living in the UK [128]

i have met well over 100 in my pub or on the street

what and you think they are all the same, don't you think your judgment is a bit clouded, i can tell you, mine was. However after a while you start to look past the little things you like to hold on to, like, its because she's Polish or must be just something the Polish do. It may have been you it may have been her, i mean dam it you may not have just got on that well after all. Its what i found out, just don't let it affect your future judgement. It did me for a little while and i guess i lost out because of it, so do not, whatever you do be clouded.

i still think that all of them ignored you and it bugs you...

why would over 100 people just ignore somebody???

UK, Ireland / Cold and ignorant Polish girls living in the UK [128]

why are polish girls so cold, they give this sexy image but it is all show they have no personallity, are rude and ignorant, self centered, i have met manny the are cold and sly

I can relate to what you are saying, i met the coldest, most unpleasent, scheming, using, devious girl i had ever met. She was Polish and we did get along well for some time, however it soon became clear to me that all these words i wrote down were part of her make up. I to would have had a bad image of the Polish if her best friend who she lived with and knew from school was not exactly the opposite of her. All the words i wrote could not be said for the best friend.

I have met both wonderful and not so wonderful girls, some of them Polish some of them not. Do not judge the Polish girls by one of their kind, there are English women, Brazilian women, Italian women who are what you described. I nearly went down the same bitter road as you, its not worth it, its not correct and it sure aint clever.

DO NOT DO IT, DO NOT THINK THEY ARE ALL THE SAME BECAUSE IT IS NOT TRUE!!!!

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

My Grandfather would be proud, thank you. Do you recall that "occupied Poland" were not alloud to speak of this crime? We are not talking about one person killed on the street, we are speaking of Poland's military, shot in the head. Unarmed men that were unarmed. 22,000 for what?

War is War, many things happen in war time that would not even be thinkable in everyday life. You think this is the only ever 'war crime' there are thousands of cases, so many you wouldn't believe. What i was trying to point out by talking about your grandfather and my great grandfather is the similarity is, at the end of the day, they are dead. They are not coming back, that is that, at least you know how your family member, member's at Katyn died, we have no idea about how he died. Just because one family member was killed at Katyn does not make them anymore or any less special than those who died in the skies over Holland and France or on the ground at Omaha Beach.

There are some people who don't move on, some survivors who don't put it behind them (in many situations). You should be aware that not everyone has your idea of "forget about it, they died years ago, who cares?". People still search for the truth and will not allow for the facts to be so badly twisted, like Russia tries. It's easy to say "move on" but it's very important that there are people in the world who battle to save memories and stop them from being twisted.

so much effort, for what?? nothing changes, nobody comes back, nobody feels less hurt or less guilty. Its like people are digging for the sake of digging, do you not see that?? Fair play, find out what happened to your loved ones but after that, what else do you need to know. Whether they died, shot by a Russian at Katyn while un armed or in a German concentration camp because they could no longer work. Both unlawful shootings and both shootings of unarmed men/women, what is the difference???

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

I still always find that reasoning a bit off

of course its a bit off, nobody could deny that.

Kill a bunch of people that were no threat to anyone.

i'm sure you know, that is war, everything is different in war.

The difference though is Japanese for the most part don't hold a grudge. Neither do I. It was a messed up world back then. Pretty much all sides were guilty of these kinds of atrocities.

why can't all nations have this attitude, remember yet move on and live your own life. Japan has moved on since the bombings and has turned its tragic history into a properous nation with plenty of potential and world stature.

Poland are you listening and seeing this!!

P.S.

I don't know if you find the term 'Jap's' offensive or not, if you do i'm sorry its just what the short version of 'japanese' is in the UK. Sometimes even they are referred to as 'Nips' i.e. the 'Nipon Army' or 'SUper Nipon' football team. I was always told when i was younger the term 'nip' was offensive however the Japs seem to use it themselves???

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

It should never be forgotten, we are talking about someones son, fathers, husbands, uncles and grandfathers.

people are murdered every day, killed on the streets un lawfully, many people are killed and flung into mass graves in Africa, Asia etc etc. Katyn is one of a million cases i bet. All that sentimental stuff about mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, etc etc well to be honest people need to learn how to move on. Yes people died and yes it was un-lawful killing however it does not change the fact that they are 'dead'!!!!.

Why can't people move on with their lives, what do you think your grandfather would think of you know??? I tell you if i was chasing the German Pilot who shot down my Great Grandad or the flack gun that could of hit his Bomber that was lost, he would be laughing at me saying 'get on with your life' i gave mine, now don't waste yours!!!'

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

And history left uncorrected, repeats itself. Do we as humans have standards, and if we do, why are you still trying to silence anyone that brings up this subject?

Your right about one thing, it will be repeated again and again, by people like yourself. Whether or not the truth was told and the Russians said 'yeah it was us' you still wouldn't be happy and would still talk on forums such as this one about what they did and how awful it was!!!. I can assure you that you would always have something to say on the matter whether or not it was cleared up.

Do i want people to be quite about this, hell yes, not for the reasons you suspect. It's ok complaining but after a while it gets a bit boring and tedious. Talk about going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on, you and crow are the top people for that!!!!.

What is it they say about those who complain to much???

why not just rise above it, the world knows what went on, let the Russians play their silly little school boy games and rise above them. Reacting like this everytime somebody mentions Katyn and 'who did what' is like a playground argument. Remember the dead by all means, whether the Germans or Russians did it, does not really change a thing, who is dead is dead. They are not coming back.

Well i'm not going to mention the girls, vodka or food as its been done before.

Food / What is this? Dark whisky Scottish or Polish? [58]

Good question dtaylor :)

good one but easily answered:

It would still have to be distilled/matured in Scotland to be called Scotch whisky though.

exaclty, even if the 'Scottish' Company was taken over by a 'Polish' company, for it to be Scottish whisky, it would still have to be made to the original patented specification. Misty is also correct as to be 'Scottish' whisky it would have to be distilled and matured in Scotland.

When you are buying a company or other business, you are not buying business really, you are buying their products, ideas, designs etc etc and this all comes in the way of patents and copyright protection. In other words you are buying 'assets' to add to your own company

Food / What is this? Dark whisky Scottish or Polish? [58]

you can't say it and by law if you advetised that you would be taken to court and prosicuted either for 'false advertisment' or breaking 'copyright' law :) So i wouldn't do that, lol.

Food / What is this? Dark whisky Scottish or Polish? [58]

Plus should such a widely known product (whisky) be protected by law? and why?

all 'brands', 'products' and 'labels' are protected by law. For example take Kellog's Coco Pops. Nobody but Kellog's can produce 'Coco Pops' in name, design, ingreedients used etc. It is the same therefore for the Whisky, if the law was not in place you could have 20 different versions of the same product witht he same name, design etc etc. Usually there is something in a product that differentiates it form any other, making it individual.

Food / What is this? Dark whisky Scottish or Polish? [58]

Well, does that make of cheese have it's own legislation? Scotch does and in order for it to be legally called Scotch it must be made in a certain way, as I have described above. If you doubt me, look it up

i would assume all food products have 'copy rights' or 'pagents' for their design, ingreedients used etc. I didn't doubt you i was just giving you a theoretical situation that was all. Would i doubt you Misty??

I think you will find she is agreeing with you;)

holy you know what, Misty, agreeing with me, hang on a sec while i get my housemate to pick me up of the floor as i suddenly fainted when i read that, Ouch my head hurts :)
