you can have such a politician in a bigger block of righteous people - for me it was sheer irresponsibility for Marek Jurek to leave PiS - I presume some personal ambitions or mislead mission are in question - Marek Jurek haven't achieved anything starting a new political movement - there were similar movement before btw like ZChN - look where one of the leaders of ZChN is now -
and he won't achieve anything in the future Torq - there won't be any more strict anti-abortion law in Poland in any foreseable future - what he managed to achieve is splitting and weakening the block of righteous and those who care
look for that which we share not what divides us
I can see much more than this
- I can also see many mistakes made by PiS and Kaczynskis themselves - I can see many flaws in PiS - but I can see no real alternative to it at the moment - I can see Kaczynskis being sometimes dishonest, trying to play PR games (especially the president pretending somebody who he is not - being true to oneself is much better in the end) - but others are either idealogically blinded, egoisticly motivated or just mislead (focused on some issues that are not the most important ones)
and maybe I am stupidly naive but I truely believe Kaczynskis are really those who care for the nation - it doesn't make anything they do pure - the goal does not justify the means -
if you name some figures from Kaczynskis entourage that served communist system before - Mr Kryże (the jugde you mentioned) remained loyal to Kaczynskis as does Mr Wassermann or Mr Jasiński - to my mind if they are loyal to Kaczynskis they are loyal to their cause as well - at least this is what I think is quite obvious in case of Mr Zbigniew Wassermann -
btw Mr Kryże did not do that much harm and he could have changed his views don't you think - why are there so many lawyers, jugdes who opposed the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość and why Mr Kryże did not go with the flow, didn't side with those who sided with their own egoistic interests
there was so much injustice in Polish courts during the 20 last years one can easily think the whole system was largely corrupt - and there was no verification of say judges in postcommunist Poland - those who would sentence anti-communist opposition would not lose their jobs - why did not Mr Kryże follow suit and joined those who served themselves

Kaczynski use this rhetoric all the time and unfortunately still many people cannot see anything else.

Torq it is about democracy - and raising the issues antagonises many - polarises political spectre - you just create more enemies in the populace - you perhaps don't see outside your own environment but there are plenty already antagonised against the catholic church and they can be quite easily manipulated into voting for more liberal abortion laws if it is the main agenda - the problem of polish anti-abortion laws is not in the marginal things like conception due to rape, or pregnancy being dangerous to life and health of a woman -
if the majority vote in Poland would be for liberal abortion laws would you fight for it shedding blood of those who oppose your views??? - I don't think it is wise to raise the issue politically now when there are very reasonable laws in place at the moment

I don't agree with that 'wise' - he can have strong views ok he can be personally righteous and still politically irresponsible focusing on too narrow a field
and I think there is quite wise compromise on anti-abortion laws in Poland at the moment - and raising the issue politcally can lead actually to liberalizing the laws which I think you would see as quite a shame

plenty Sean if you just closely follow the news - Mr Palikot is one clear example - only those who don't want to see do not
Torq - they did not have to start a new political movement - noone in PiS would have thrown them out - they could have manifested their views without leaving - their voice wouldn't have been any less powerful then - and I have reasons to think Marek Jurek is not a responsible politician - his fraction voted populistically just before the 2007 election just to get to the headlines

lesser - PO are a bunch who are there wholeheartedly for money except the very top of them - they are there to corrupt power - as seen in many examples - they have quite unpleasant forces behind them - namely former secret service branches - the last thing PO cares for is the well-being of the nation - there are so many hints to think like I do - you just need to look for it and not judge by some apperances - I don't believe you are an admirer of Mr Palikot - a corrupt hypocritic figure that bears a banner for PO - do any righteous people take such a figure for their representative??
and there is place for everybody who really cares for Poland is honest and not completely blinded by some ideaology in Prawo i Sprawiedliwość - there is a place for UPR they just didn't really care to form an alliance but many former UPR members are now in PiS - and I don't believe they have cast away their ideals - there is a place for Marek Jurek supporters - didn't he leave PiS on his own mind? - there is a place for LPR members and supporters in PiS - it is mostly mr Giertychs leadership ambitions that they didn't join PiS

the difference comes from such notions
to learn - uczyć się (i.e. siebie) - it can also be rendered as to teach oneself (this is actually a litteral translation)
I learn - uczę się ( uczę siebie) - I am the object (as well as the subject) (so I teach myself)
he learns - uczy się (uczy siebie) - he is the object in the sentence as well as the subject (in other words he teaches himself)
while
dzieci uczy się.. (one teaches children.. or children are taught...)
in this case dzieci/children are the object of the action but they are not the subject
the subject is not determined (not in focus) and it is exatly się that indicates it is noone particular that teaches the children whatever they are supposed be taught
(otherwise the subject is missing in this sentence (lexiacally))
dzieci uczy się is completely different to dzieci uczą się:
one teaches children.. vs children learn (literally children teach themselves)
dzieci in both of these are in different grammatical cases

I am just reading info on civil wedding
it says what you need to do is to visit Registrar's Office (USC - Urząd Stanu Cywilnego)
at least 30 days before the date you want the wedding to take place bringing with you your passport, birth cirtificate (official short form of it not necessarily the original) from the country of your origin as well as some paper to certify that you are elligible to get married (i.e you aren't married elsewhere ) - the latter needs to be from the country you are citizen of - it should be issued by the office which is the counterpart of Polish Urząd Stanu Cywilnego in your country/
you also need to sign a declaration that there are no obstacles for you to get married (i.e. you are free), decide whose surname you (and your offspring from the marriage) are gonna carry and finally pay fee for the wedding which is under 100 zl)
then you can appoint for the wedding ceremony (usually takes place in the same office)
USC in Gdańsk is located in city hall in the city centre - Nowe Ogrody 8/12 - the office is open 8am til 4pm on working days

you simply need to know (memorize) which verbs demand what cases of objects (nouns, adjectives, participles)
you have to remember that some verbs can take two kinds of objects at the same time - direct and indirect and these are different in case then
it is not only verbs that demand certain noun case(or whatever that is subject to declination) but also prepositions

oh and for the icompetence - yeah there are plenty of examples actually - it happens very often recently that journalist make many ortographical blunders - on the internet editing level factual blunders are not that uncommon as well - I am talking about internet editions of serious titles - btw I don't buy printed press for quite some time
and I am not talking of deliberate manipulation

if it is a privately owned firm yes it is possible to suspend its activity
don't know weather this is the case with spółka z o.o. - but I guess it's not - though it would not be agaisnt logic - no liabilities vanish if you suspend a personally owned firm and the same could also be true for spółka z o.o.
legal services are quite expensive for Polish standards - I would expect the price to be over 1000 zl (perhaps even twice as much) in all - but I am not an insider

This was a territory exchange with the SU - Poland gave away the area of Sokal and were given Ustrzyki vicinity - soon the Soviets developed coal mining industry around Sokal (Wladymir Volynski) - don't know if it still in operation now

declaration against expulsions is just as badly needed as one against pedophiles
and yes I am very suspicious - our prime minister used to bash on pedophiles a couple of months ago - called for harsh treatment etc (obligatory chemical castration or the like) - and no it was not because it was really in urgent need - it was beacause our prime minister (the present one) needed to bolster his Public Relation image (I should add that nothing he proposed found way to real legislation)
post-war Poland never made claims to any lands previously within Polish borders

noone in his good mind plans any expulsions in these times (in civilised parts of world) so what is the aim of the declaration??
some hidden agendas?
some trying to pass as victims while being perpetrators?
btw German sorry European administration of Kosovo had not much against Kosovars expelling Serbs (well it was not as organised as it used to be in the WWII of course) - say it was exerting pressure on Serbs to leave
I know this is a game to get the votes by German political parties - but hey they have fed this thing called expelees associations - German constitution used to state that Germany is a state with borders as they were in 1937 (I don't know what it is now - is it any different)?
