Feedback / Text that is unsuccessfully posted is too easily lost. [54]

It is just not practical to do this every time. I use my clipboard a lot and I can't copy everything I ever type? Have you seen how much I spam this forum... I mean contribute to this forum?

Yes it is. You're only copying (not pasting) a block of text until you know it's gone through. If it goes through you're not even pasting it anywhere else.

If I've typed a load of text I usually highlight it all and copy (takes two seconds). Then when I know the text has gone through properly I can get rid of the text, if it hasn't gone through properly I can paste it somewhere until I can use it again. I use this not only on PF.

Love / I'm 18 and this Polish worker is 25. Can it work? [22]

I am of the belief that if you turn your back and ignore this you'll always wonder what might have happened. Better you should try it and know how it would have went. Good luck. :)

If it's meant to be then you'll work out how to be with each other.

Your step-mother is another story but she can't rule your life.

Keep in touch with this guy, explain your worries to him, he'll understand.

Ignore southern Sofie. ;)

Yes it can work, of course it can. That age difference is nothing. If you miss each other then there must have been something there. Go for it! :)

Life / Holiday's in Poland! Not allowed thanksgiving off. [30]

The question is, if you had just asked him for a day off without mentioning the reason why, would he have given it to you? You have to be fly like that sometimes. ;)

UK, Ireland / Where can I buy DVDs in Polish language near Glasgow? [11]

I think that you can buy them in some polish internet shops in uk. I found one:

It's not that great a site if you don't speak Polish and it's a bit of a jumble of English and Polish.

Feedback / How to create a relevant "anchor text" when linking to other sources [8]

SeanBM I hope these two pictures will help. You'll have to click on them to enlarge them I think...Once you've added the brief description those will be the words that appear on the screen rather than a long web address. :)

Feedback / Polish Forums Checker [41]

When I appear here in the early AM (Brit time) I don't have to start work until lunchtime the following day. Generally I work from 7.30 until Midnight. Part of which is at actually at work and partly at home. PF is my saviour because it gives me a break, which is great. :)

Feedback / Polish Forums Checker [41]

Well that is why it is called work, if you enjoy it too much it is something else, does that make any sence?

I hope you read my post above. It is work here but PF is something I believe a lot in so therefore it doesn't feel like work. It is something that I enjoy a lot. Apart from the odd little thing.

I enjoy moderating this site, I have learned a lot from it. :)

Feedback / Polish Forums Checker [41]

hmmmm.... i never use the checker....

As a moderator it is vital.

If you like to imagine yourself as a moderator I suggest this task. Make sure you have all forums ticked in your checker options. Clear your checker to nothing and leave it 24 hours. Check it then and see how many threads you have in there. It'll be between 80 and 100 and then you can see that if you were a moderator that is how many threads you'd have to check. Not only the threads but the posts in those threads. Usually there is a thread or three where there are more than 20 posts to check. It doesn't sounds much but you should try it from the point of viewof the moderator. Check all the threads and all the posts... ;)

Just click on the "x" and they go though. :)

A way of spotting where the adverts are is to note below the red timeline there is a yellow marker, that's where the advert will appear and you can be ready for it. ;)

Me or Janusz? ;)

Work / Teaching English in Poland, no degree just certificate [41]

frida333, you could join up as a member (it's free :) and you'd have access to all the site and the advice you needed. Most of what you want to know is already here. :)

Plus you could also be in contact with other members. :)

I know some people sign up are insincere and have multiple versions of being the same fool but for those that are genuine I think it is a good idea, just suggesting.

The introductions thread was a nice idea but mostly the people who started threads there didn't go on to post or had their question answered within their introduction and never returned. :)

Wyspianska:

I am sorry.

me too...

What's up with you two?
