Language / Correct Polish spelling [69]

spell out words by the "names" of letters rather than their sounds

do you mean like alpha, bravo, charlie?
The "Teach Yourself Polish" book says that christian names are used when spelling out words...
e.g A jak Adam (A like Adam)
B jak Barabara
C jak Celina
and so on

Why worry about the currency?

Maybe it's no worry for you. For Polish business the strength of the Zloty is bad for exports. For Poles working abroad the money they earn is worth less when they sent it home (noimmi will be pleased). For people like me who want to move there it means I won't be able to afford to buy a particularly nice home outright.

The same as anywhere. Despite the myth "not every girls in Poland are beautifulls" (in the words of my gorgeous Polish gal). Some are fat, some skinny. Some moody some fun-loving. I think that most Polish women are usually very forthright (ie tell you what they are thinking) and slightly selfish.
