Now it's back on the subject of food it's making me hungry.
I'm supposed to be sleeping, not making sandwiches.

my polish bread nice and warm, my polish cheese, my polish chocolates, my polish homemade cakes.... everything.

Polish lace underwear???

would it be by injection then? :)

OMG... well done eurola. :D :D or possibly by splashing? ;)

HAHAHAHA....man I missed this place :]

kelbasza! I hate that. That is so not healthy

WTF. You know, my parents always tell me that they were perfectly healthy until they moved into the US. Then, all of a sudden they had high cholestoral and what not. It's all BS. Eat what you want. F*ck everyone else.

You're just saying it's unhealthy because it tastes great, and God forbid, has calories. WTF. We need calories to live, so people decide to starve themselves and get less of this vital nutrient. Makes no sense to me.

our kielbasa is way, way more healthy then the crap that passes for one here in regular stores. it is also way tastier. :)

The 11th commandment: "Though shalt not forgeteth to eateth thine God given sausage"

7 plastrów prosze seems to do the trick

I was taught that phrase before I could speak English (In America). Gotta love the Urbaniak Bros. Meat Market

I've never heard this request at a Polish Deli..what state do they do this kind of asking?

Any Polish deli really, if the people actually speak Polish. New jersey was great. Polish meat, bread, and of course, the doughnuts. Single greatest sweet ever invented.

I've heard both. Might depend on the store or people who work there. Don't know.

Anyway, Dobranoc Eurola ;]

Z plastrami is the idea. 7 slices would be the translation. To me, it's standard Polish. 1 plaster, 3 plastry and 6 plastrów. U've lived in Chicago too long.

Point taken, thank you.

I pick up Danola Black Forest ham, because it has that smoked flavor we used to make in the smoker. I like that bit of 'bite'. The others are okay, I just tend towards the smokey end of things, like I do with Kielbasa and smoked turkey breasts because I used to make it with my dad.

Krakus is everywhere in Chicago not only in the Polish stores but in all the major
commercial grocery stores.

I thought south-side Milwaukee was a Polish stronghold? What about such Wisconsin localities as Green Bay, Polonia, Pulaski, Superior and Wausaukee, not to mention Stevens Point??

I thought south-side Milwaukee was a Polish stronghold?

It used to be like 20 years ago, now it's all Mexican. There is only one Polish store on the southside. Nothing Polish in Green Bay. Polonia has a Polish priest and so does Stevens Point which also prints the Gwiazda Polarna, oldest Polish Newspaper in the US. The older Polish generation of those towns are dying off, there is less and less of any connections with Poland.

But you can find the Krakus Ham in the local Walmart!
