Very sad. She was the co-pilot, her English boyfriend, Eric Swaffer was the pilot. Izabela Lechowicz, 46, moved to the UK in 1997 and began learning to fly six years later, after meeting Eric. The Polish Embassy tweeted that Izabela was "a wonderful pilot", and a finalist in the #Polka100, a list of "exceptional women who inspire the Polish community in Britain". They were among five people who died in the crash including the owner of the club, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Maybe. How relevant is the fact that she was Polish? If she was Russian would her life be less important to you and her death less upsetting?
