hate english men

what a valuable contribution i'm sure it would be sorely missed if you didn't make it :)

So if i understand right, Jacek, what you hate about English people (that is the topic)

JustysiaS
The topic should be strong (and believe me I know something about it) so that many people including you would read my post or even reply, besides there are couple of those “Why do I hate…” on this forum (which are not necessarily saying about hate) so why not this one and

Yes tornado2007 I am having a laugh because I said that I like this country but not like everything about it!(you haven’t probably read my post)

On the other hand you didn’t have any objections about “why do I hate polish… “ thread did you?
Whats wrong about expressing my opinion? You have a freedom of speech here do you? If you don’t want to read my post don’t do it and for gods sake don’t tell me what should I do and where should I go because it is really not up to you.

You didn’t get my point JustysiaS at all.
No I am not ranting and talking nonsense.
I gave you examples from my life which are related (is it that difficult to figure out?) to ONE thing - political correctness in this country which I think is a very bad thing and I DON’T LIKE it.

If you read newspapers and watch news you can see hundreds of more examples experienced by others. Maybe you dont want to see it or are not long enough here to notice it (are you British)? Or maybe I am getting it all wrong because I’m not from here? But that’s why I posted it here to find out your opinion in a normal discussion, especially English people (I was not expecting to receive replies like "go back to your own country") So I guess it’s a wrong place.

that ONE of them wants an Xmas party to be organised in January

Yes ONE of them suggested it and others except me agreed. Don’t you think its stupid to have Christmas party at the end of January, only because they are afraid of someone who doesn’t even give a monkey about Christmas, might feel offended? What next? should we stop selling food in the canteen because of Ramadan?

and that some businesses here only hire people who are not white...?

So you don’t find anything strange about it? Maybe its only me

and that politicians are not interested in what people want

And again the same topic but you don’t see it do you?

where Daisy and Lukasz pointed out that politicians are mostly self centered greedy pigs anyway

Yes some of them are but they were chosen by me and you so during the next election we shouldn’t forget it.

Anyways it would be nice to see your opinion on that not only repeating what I or other people said.

Sorry if I offended anyone

sales assistants with no manners

I hate the ones with manners. Honestly, I don't want harassed.

I don't want sales assistants who immediately think behaving as though they are your best friend will boost their sales commission, but the ones who just grunt and don't offer a simple 'hello', 'That will be £xx.xx' and 'thank you' are the ones who get on my wick.

What I hate about England is that it is too far away form Canada.

Flights are getting cheaper though...

And it could be worse - its 27 hours by plane for me to go home for a visit (one way)

Stupid excuses on the tube.. including leaves on the line,

So you would rather take the chance of the train derailing due to mulch on the line? They have reasons for cancelling trains, trust me Network Rail would rather they didnt have to.

i hate english men

why? all the males in my family are very nice and they're English :)

And AvJ English don’t all have bad teeth, trust me I have seen worse on my travels around the world.

Okay here are my pet hates about my country

Indian call centres
The amount of takeaways we have here
Traffic
Government
Asylum seekers

The fact you have to be a partially blind one legged lesbian who is fleeing persecution to get a job with the council!

People that complain that its expensive to eat healthily (lets face it - its an excuse to eat frozen pizza)

I like pan pie said - the cost of train fares

Oh just one more - doctors receptionists - they are always rude

Its not Network Rail but TFL that make that decision, in conjuction with the maintenance companies Metronet and Tube. The Victoria line (which is where I've twice heard the excuse of 'leaves on the line' in the past couple of months) operates fully underground.

Unfortunately there is a history of giving commuters false excuses as to the real reason for delays on the Tube. Recently we had issues on the tube where they stated to commuters that there were staff shortages when we were all sitting there reading the newspapers where drivers were saying they refused to drive the trains due to brake issues.

Are you still current? If so, then you may be working with my brother.

But since you're here, any explanation why they offer the leaves on the line excuse for an underground line? Or state staff shortages when its a safety concern?

No, went back in house didnt fancy travelling to Birmingham from Manchester everyday (Crewe for 3 months was enough!)

any explanation why they offer the leaves on the line excuse for an underground line

Light rail goes overground, I can only offer the explaination that these trains cover the tracks underground with mulch when they travel underground.

Or state staff shortages when its a safety concern?

Ask the TOCs they're the ones who employ the staff who man the trains

If you read newspapers and watch news

i must skip these then as mass media causes mass panic in societies ... and i dont think the media need to cause should a thing inretrospect.

I would agree with the call centres in Indian but having worked in a UK based one i feel no shame in saying i have ..

.. Institutions and Agencies of Society that like to attempt to run our lives and creating a "nanny state" ...

... i guess that would be my two penneth worth.

Arrows on the roads, or rather lack of them. Sometimes you find out on which lane you're driving just a second too late. Although roads are signed quite clearly, sometimes when you're in some place for the first time, you may get lost.

Yes it is a problem. Unless of course you are driving in London where you will be going so slowly you have plenty of time to adjust.

Average traffic speed in London is 9 miles per hour. It was quicker when we just had horse and carts (not that I remember that of course)

In london when you want to leave you bike somwhere outside you need to lock it with as many chains/ U locks as possible and remove all the detachable stuff (saddle, lights etc) If you dont, you may have to walk home with what was left from your bike!!!

doctors receptionists - they are always rude

I agree. I waited behind a pregnant lady who wished to see a doctor without an appointment. She was obviously in pain and didn't need the receptionist to tell her she was stupid. I asked the receptionist if she spoke to everyone like that or just people without the energy to tell the stupid b!tch where to stuff her reams of paperwork whe was demanding for the luxury of seeing a doctor.

In london when you want to leave you bike somwhere

You can buy it back next Sunday on Brick Lane market.

Greetings from Austria!!!

Is Austria a suburb of London now?

1.They eat to MUCH!

Not really but perhaps what they are eating is not too healthy for them. Some of them anyway, I know plenty of people who eat healthily.

7.They are riding the car at left side! (WTF?!)

You hate a country because of the side of the road they drive on?

Been at the alchopops?

I have a chance to go to Calgary as I have a friend there. My, I like this diversion from attacking England. Strange for a Scot to be saying that. Maybe when I start my next whisky, that'll change ;)

Canadian immigration treat you like dirt. They are arrogant an for some strange reason aloof.

seems to go with the job unfortunatelly. I have a friend who has never taken a citizenship but has lived here for ages and he often has a "nice" conversations" with them every time he crosses the border. He enjoys it though.

My, I like this diversion from attacking England.

you are welcome, I was close to join in but then I have never been and I am not going to base my opinions on a couple of geniuses who post here:)

I don't hate anything about Ennglad but there are few things I don't like:

weather- no proper summer and no snow in winter ( at least where I live middle England)
- food- It is good if someone makes effort to prepare it but all these ready meals..takeaways...

- set menu!!!! in restaurants - set 3 course meal in a price of one course. This makes people fat as they stuff themselves with three courses as it is cheaper.

- drinking, drinking,.....sometimes too much and basting about it later.

Dad in UK sentenced to life in jail for subjecting daughters to rapes over 27 years..
..A British man was jailed Tuesday for raping two of his daughters and fathering nine children over 27 years, a case with echoes of Austria's Josef Fritzl...
