Many of the people who support PiS are not working - either retired or on KRUS

I'm assuming that you can provide some support for your claim...

How about that - there are hundreds of similar articles from the October election

It's well documented in the Polish press that poorer/older/rural/uneducated voters go for PiS.

farmers are not a burden on the state finances before they actually reach the retirement age - if you tried to manipulate us to believe - and actually they support the system even if not on the same scale as ZUS payers -

in the 2015 election PiS won in virtually all environments including among those whith university education

Only because the PO vote split with Nowoczesna. That statistic gets pulled up time and time again, and it only works if you consider PO and N. to be separate parties. Nowoczesna took almost all their support from the educated managerial/business owner class, and if they didn't exist, that group would have voted for PO en masse.

and actually they support the system even if not on the same scale as ZUS payers -

Yeah, a whole 300zł a month in contributions. Farmers are a huge burden on the system with the tiny inefficient farms.

That is so not true. The agriculture and food processing industries are a big chunk of gdp and among the largest in the EU. In terms of sheer employment and revenues food processing/agriculture are the largest industries in Pl.

Also the benefits Polish farmers receive are relative to how many hectares their farm is.

That statistic gets pulled up time and time again, and it only works if you consider PO and N. to be separate parties.

On the same token if you add kukiz and pis it forms a slight majority.

Yes that is also important- though increases in disposable income have been fairly strong each year since 2001.

According to oecdbetterlifeindex.org/countries/poland/

It would be nice to see figures for disposable income changes for the bottom 20% between 2008 and 2018.

It does, there's no arguing about that. Kukiz had a great 2015, but he simply wasn't up for the task of actually leading a political party in parliament.

I guess Schetyna is though.... :)...... in spite of being the party leader trusted least by the public....

I dont have a high opinion of Schetyna but that is a pretty weird poll if it shows Ziobro as being the third most trusted person in politics

Well, it is not so weird if you read it in a context. Polish people do not trust politicians much, so the poll ask who seems the most trustworthy from that suspect crowd of suspect politicians.. In other words people think as fallows. They(politicians) all lie and have an agenda. So who is the least crooked and twisted of them.

You need to read the poll in this light. Maker sense now?

By the way you're not Polish are you?

Depends how you define it IS but yes I am a Polish citizen.

Yes i realize all trust is relative - i dont think there is one person on that list i would be happy to do business with !

Actually, it shows Ziobro as the fourth most trusted politician.

For me, this poll is about which person is seen most often on TV screens plus the high position (third) of Paweł Kukiz who is a former pop singer.

The relatively high position of Stanisław Karczewski makes this poll even less trustworthy.

Is the Alt-media in Poland generally left or right wing?

Here's a funny video I came across as typical:-

Are there any funny left-wing videos?
