I don,t think anyone picks a horrible woman...they are all very cute and lovely...in the begining....

don't you see a pattern though? maybe women you are/were attracted to were simply the wrong kind of women, toxic people. once you change the type of people you usually go for and base your search on more than just looks and chemistry you will be able to not only find someone with the traits you've been looking for but also see what you've been doing wrong before. some of us have the tendency to go for/attract toxic people and yes they seem cute and lovely at first because you can't see anything else through your rose tinted glasses, but once the novelty wears off and all you're left with is drama and pain, you know you made the wrong choice. i see you decided to look elsewhere for the woman of your dreams so you can see for yourself that changing the scene and not sticking with your old pattern is the way forward. good luck to you!

ex friend

an ex whatever who they were are an ex for a reason and next time you try to contact someone from the past don't be surprised if they won't be very happy about you doing so. you just have to move on and stop digging in the past, she obviously has her reasons and you should accept it and create new friendships, and make sure they will last.

Exactly, keep the good memories you have between you and dont ruin it with the need to keep contacting them. Let them live their lives...

That said, this is a huge generalization - every woman is different.

Agreed - although you described my ex to a 'T', she isn't Polish.

there are a lot of truths in the first post along with a lot of generalizations. I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of the phenomenon mentioned....

39 year old guy, unmarried, who has dated many women and now decides to go on an internet forum to ramble, paragraph after paragraph about a polish girl who doesn't sleep with him anymore and is a terrible person in general....

man, i'd love to sit down for an hour with any of his ex-girlfriends and get the other side of the story....

I wouldn't:). It is amazing how many men come to PF and complain about women. I don't see that coming from women dating polish men.

Thats probably because men like to shout about their relationships , even the bad ones...Women are a little more discreet ...

Women prefer to talk to their female friends to share experiences, men on the other hand, rather wouldn't talk as freely as on the Internet.

I am happy to say that i remain friends with many of my ex girlfriends... Sometimes , if you get hurt it takes time to forgive , and its not easy to go from loving somebody , to just being friends , but its possible with time...

Sometimes clean breaks are the best but the maintaining of cordial ties is nice. I only really fall out with people if they are hostile or blatantly confrontational.

Wow, talk about a bitter dude. Sounds like you might be slightly disillusioned about women in general.

I was refering to the dude who posted this thread. He sounds very bitter. Sounds like the type of dude that has the wrong expectations about relationships, so he goes to another country thinking the women there will be so "different" when it's really him that is having the problem being compatible with women in general. Relationships take a lot of work, commitment and "rose coloured glasses" or they cease being fun.

yeah true. She was slim, pretty, but not exactly a model. And she really did seem like a nice, innocent girl who liked art and goes to church (both true). It still confuses me now, part of me thinks she is just that. I bought her some chocolates at christmas, followed by the minor falling out, which led to her saying she'll never speak again. It seems like she just hung out with me as a backup, a shoulder to lean on, if she could not find another guy she likes more. Which she did in the end. You're right, I should have walked away as soon as she messed me around. I'm too loyal to people, and forget hard.

Those girls seem so clever and good at getting what they want, but truth is they can't cope without a man and they are scared of being single and not getting any attention. I'm sure she goes to church and prays a lot, she's such a little sweetheart! Lol you see what they want you to see. Oh well now you know, don't trust pretty strangers ;).

no problem Justysia... i'm here to help... ;)

if you're trying to get a pay rise then remember we're still not out of recession! now get back to your desk and finish typing those files for me!!!!!! ;D

I remember, when she was asking if I wanted to kiss her. I hadn't shown her if I liked her. She at that point, was the one who looked godamn insecure. Then in stark contrast, roll some months forward, after she had 'rejected' me. I remember one or two SERIOUS comments she made.. 'I always ignored every man first', separate ocassion... 'i'm going to ignore you, haha' and 'well anywhere you go with me is great isn't it'. It's incredible now I think about it, was this girl for real?

Sounds just like a typical silly young girl..they are not all like that..you just have to keep looking...

I don't agree. It sounds like she liked you as more than a friend, based on what you described. She denied it later probably just to hurt you.

I remember one or two SERIOUS comments she made.. 'I always ignored every man first', separate ocassion... 'i'm going to ignore you, haha'

...because if she ignores a man first then she remains in control and doesn't get hurt. She's going to do the whole thing all over again with the new boyfriend.

maybe the foreign ones, with their sweet accents and bad grammar, seem more innocent and uncapable of something like this, but they know exactly what they are doing.

Stop saying this! They are sweet and innocent!
Lol...

I can see why you're disappointed and angry but let this be a lesson for you, no matter how pretty they are, they're just not worth the time.

Old saying: No matter how wonderful a guy thinks a girl is, somewhere there is another guy who hates her guts and who curses ever meeting her.
